Great little hotel with really nice staff, quirky decor, great breakfast and super clean.
The only small thing, was that the soundproofing towards the courtyard was not great.
We stayed in March so only a few guests were out there on Saturday night, but I imagine that it could get quite noisy in summer.

Only 2 plugs in room has to unplug fridge to plug in kettle and unplug TV for phone. Could of done with a little more storage as plenty of room for a chest of drawers

Great apartment, good size. Lovely layout and furniture. The main bed was extremely comfortable. The small kitchen as well was well supplied with utensils. This accommodation was a great base for our three day stay in Vienna.
The morning breakfast, included in the price, was delicious.
The sofa bed in the second room was quirky in style and looked great BUT very uncomfortable for the person sleeping on it. Luckily we didn't use one of the quilts so the person slept on that, and made the bed bearable. I would purchase a mattress topper to improve the comfort.
There was a lot of noise, and some smoke,from the very busy downstairs restaurant. This wasn't a problem for our apartment, which overlooked the street, but for the rooms overlooking the courtyard, which were the majority, this may be an issue. I'm glad we upgraded to a larger two bedroom apartment but it did cost us extra (the same as an extra night).

The staff was outstanding, always helpful and with a smile on their face.
The location of the hotel is also really good, being pretty close to major attractions and public transport.
There is also public parking spaces in front of the hotel.
You can also rent bicycles from the receptions, so you basically have everything you'd need right there.

The property is not very well suited/equipped to be a hotel. The rooms (at least the one we stayed in and the neighbours we asked) did not have the ventilation holes. There is no air conditioner either which makes the only option to sleep with door and windows wide open to have some fresh air. Having the door and windows open means no privacy whatsoever. Also the staff starts preparing for breakfast and turn on the washing machine as early as 6 o’clock in the morning which means you will wake up of that noise (windows and door wide open, remember?). At night the restaurant/patio closes at 10pm but that does not mean that the staff wouldn’t stay a bit longer to chat and rest which means that you won’t fall asleep until they are done (roughly at 10-12pm). Otherwise it’s lovely ?

I was there during a mid-warm week of the summer (July, ~28 day/19 night degrees C), and the room was so warm I couldn't sleep at night and had to move to another hotel. There is no air conditioning, and my room was a tiny corner room under the roof, so there was no way to cool it. The hotel did provide a fan, but it was so old and slow that the room was actually warmer when I turned the fan on.

An adorable hotel in a great location! I loved the overall design, with many rooms overlooking the lovely courtyard. The rooms were spacious, very nice, and comfortable. The staff were all so friendly and always willing to help. Probably the best part was the breakfast—truly delicious.
I missed having air conditioning, but it wasn’t that big of a deal—it would have just been the cherry on top. We had a fan in the bedroom and could open the windows at night, so it was fine.

Crossing the doorstep feels like entering or exiting a well maintained time capsule. For people who have lived in that time, it's a journey back into the comfort of one's childhood or youth.
If I'm asked to dig deep for something I didn't like so much, I'd be tempted to say the stuffing of the pillows was a bit meagre. But then again... I haven't asked at the reception whether they had a plumper one on offer.

Would have benefitted from some tips for nearby shops and restaurants. Vienna is a tough city to get a table at meal times and we didn't know or expect this so some local insight for tourists would be helpful

Location was good, nice area and close to several public transport options so it was easy and quick to navigate around vienna. On NYE I could walk from the inner stad to the hotel it was a 30 min walk but very doable. Room and bed was comfy although small. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Bathroom and especially shower were tiny not easy to move around in. Walls must be thin as could hear lots of movement from surrounding rooms.
Recommend adding some shelves so guests can properly unpack and more pillows.
