Month ratings are the part people misread most, so they are built to be read one destination at a time. A month is rated against the other eleven months in that same city — never against another city. A 95 in Kyoto in October and a 95 in Dubai in January both mean “this is one of the best months to be here”, and neither says which city you should pick.

The 2517 day-by-day itineraries are written the same way: real stops in a sensible order, with how long each one takes and what to know before you go. Use one as it stands, or lift the parts that suit you.
