Stanys - Das Apartmenthotel - Vienna

Just a 5-minute walk from the Westbahnhof Train Station, Stanys - Das Apartmenthotel is located on the Mariahilfer Straße shopping street. Free WiFi is available, Secure parking spaces are available in our courtyard for €18.00 per day and must be reserved in advance.

Additionally, we offer an EV charging station at a rate of €0.50 per kWh. The spacious, individually designed rooms and apartments include cable TV, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, an electric kettle, and a bathroom with hairdryer.

Some have a kitchenette and a balcony or terrace. A Viennese breakfast is provided every morning in the self-service lounge of the Stanys. Drinks are available at the bar.

The Staglgasse Tram Stop is right outside and provides direct connections to Schönbrunn Palace, which can also be reached in a 25-minute walk. The center of Vienna is just 5 underground stops away from the Westbahnhof, which includes stops of underground lines U3 and U6. Secure parking spaces are available in our courtyard for €18.

Our room was huge. Тhere is paid parking at the hotel/15 euros per day/, which is a great convenience for visitors with cars. The staff are extremely polite/friendly and speak English. We were in December and the room was warm.

Тhere was an unpleasant smell in the room. Тhe other visitors made an awful lot of noise at night. Тhe location of the apartment is close to a metro station and a public transport stop, but in the evening when it getting dark isn't safe for a alone woman to go out. There are many expats who sit on the street and just follow you and it's disturbing.

Very nice hotel in the proximity of Westbahnhof train station. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable with a separate sitting area and modern kitchenette with everything we needed. We also had an amazing balcony with outdoor furniture. The staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. Special thanks to the guy at the reception who kindly offered us an early check-in and gave a lot of information! The location was perfect for our needs, close to the metro station and with a tram stop right next to the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay at Stanys and would highly recommend it! Would not hesitate to stay here again.

The location is at about 10 min. away from the nearest subway station. You have two supermarkets near by. A great plus is the fact that you have parking facilities on site so if you arrive in Vienna by car, you can easily forget about it and use the public transportation. Of course, parking at the hotel is not free, but it is more convenient than searching for parking inside the city (which I do not recommend).

Nothing to comment about. The place is really nice. It's good value for money.

The superb staff, from Gianluigi who promptly replied to our request for early-checkin and late check out, the very helpful Carolina who checked us in with a great smile and promptly resolved our safe problem, and Caesar who kindly ordered a taxi for us and reconfirmed our late checkout request. It is not the first time we have stayed in Stanys and will not be the last time. The apt. Is spacious and the location is ideal near the West Bahnhof and on Vienna’s longest shopping street. A big thank you for adding a bedside reading light.

The cleaning staff tended to avoid replenishing such items as toilet paper and we had to request it and do not check whether the shower gel needs replenishment but having noted this, were very polite and flexible as to when they can clean the Apt. The furniture although comfortable is old and the apt could do with some renovation and a paint job. A self-service laundry room would be a great plus, English TV channels other than BBC/CNN and the addition of a toaster in the kitchen. But we still had another very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The hotel staff were super kind and helpful, the room was huge (so comfortable) and had everything I needed (clothing storage, big mirrors, coffee machine, a fridge, a safe). The bed was also really comfortable. It was cleaned every day - I appreciated it! The hotel is not super close to the center but it's very close to a subway station - the subway is very fast and easy to get around in!

The first day, the shower wasn't working (though this was fixed very quickly when I asked), the sink drain didn't work very well until the end of the stay. I'd say it's a minor inconvenience. There was one thing that really bothered me though - the fridge made such a loud buzzing sound at night, I got up to switch it off a couple of times. Maybe this can be fixed somehow? Otherwise it was a fantastic room and I had a lovely time in Vienna - I already want to go back ? I would stay here again! :)

Even though from photos in the booking com I expect another room overall the room we stayed was rather clean and comfortable. Beds are two separate beds joined together. The room has balcony, everything is clean and tight. Metro station is 500 700 m walk. the tram station is closer. I defiantly recommend for staying. Neighborhood is quiet too. The host staff are very attentive and friendly. Also we have early checkin.

Conveniently located right on a tram line and a short walk to Westbahnhof, so easy to get just about anywhere. Friendly staff. A pleasant little terrace giving onto the parking lot that was cool and shady in the very hot afternoon.

Hadn’t realised there was such a difference in room size within a single category - one of our rooms was an actual suite with separate living and sleeping areas and a large bathroom; the other was simply a small room and bathroom. They really shouldn’t be the same price. The bed was also quite uncomfortable - the memory foam left me sleeping in a crater that was impossible to roll out of. No air conditioning (but we were grateful to have a fan and a balcony door we could open).

Sadly we had preordered a cot for the baby but this was not supplied and there was no cot available. Difficult with a 5 month baby. (Also very disappointed that the Taylor Swift concert cancelled- all my daughters were going! This was the main reason for the trip)

Good location: bakery, good restaurants and grocery stores just a few minutes away. Helpful and friendly staff, there are onging roadworks on the street but the safe and closed parking lot still accessible, it’s a bit tricky tho so ask one of the staff members for information. The top floor room is nice and spacious as well as the balcony.

The AC didn’t worked properly and it can be hot.

Very good location, close to the metro station. The rooms were very clean and confortable and were cleaned every day. We travelled there by car and the parking lot in the interior hotel courtyard was much appeciated. If we travel to Viena again, we will surely try to book an apartment here again.

In the rooms with a street view you can hear the street noise quite well during the day, especially with the window opened, maybe this is why the hotes provides ear plugs in the bathroom for all visitors. During the night everything was fine, there was very few traffic on the road and the tram stopped passing too. Also, the lack of air conditioning can be felt pretty well during the summer, the fans in the room didn't cope too well with the summer heat.

The streets in front of this place are being redone,very loud and highly recommended to choose a room facing the courtyard… I think they should fill up coffee capsules daily…you only get one for the first morning.. Very annoying…

Everything was perfect! The place was very queit and the room really spacious. There are varius transport means, bus, trams, U Bahn and Westbahnhof near the accomodation! Super market, restaurants and bakery are all in the corner! We totally recomend Stany's and we would come again!

The only thing: we found pillows and mattress not comfortable, they seemed overexploited and got too soft, lose their form. When you lie to bed you "fall" like in a pit. And the pillows are squeezed and got flat too much

The staff at the front desk were excellent and very friendly.They also gave a city sightseeing map and restaurant vouchers. The location is good, as it is close to a supermarket and tram station and is halfway between Schönbrunn Palace and the city centre.

Really great location to get everywhere, good appartment, we had so much space and everything we needed!!! Two things which we would have appreciated: 1. Light in the kitchen (maybe like a small lamp on the shelf above the sink?) 2. Quiter street. Honestly, you can't have a window open in the night because of the trams (which is more or less fine) and drunk people (horrible). So probably not the stay for summer. However, it was working for us and we enjoyed :)

Staff very kind and helpful, and hotel decent. Room on yard side very nice and quiet, but we changed rooms for an additional night. The room on the first floor on the street side is noisy, but expected. But one of the beds (room 17), suuuper noisy, and the shower sides wonky.

Great location: just a few minutes' walk from the West Station and Mariahilfer strasse, / or just one stop with the tram. There are two traditional Viennese restaurants opposite the accommodation, and several small international restaurants, ice-cream parlours and bakeries in the street. The tram stops practically in front of the house, providing easy access to Schönbrunn. Our room was spacious, space was not spared, there was room for everything. The mattress was very comfortable.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The location was excellent—just a short walk to the underground station, with a tram stop right in front of the hotel. There were also several nice local spots nearby, including an ice cream and a bakery shop next door. Schönbrunn Palace was also very close, which made sightseeing easy. Overall, a very convenient place to stay, especially for exploring Vienna. I would recommend it to others looking for a well-connected and comfortable place.

However, during our stay, there were construction works happening in front of the hotel. This caused some noise and minor inconvenience, especially during the daytime. It would have been helpful to know about this in advance.

Very spacious apartment, comfortable and clean. I was in the 'Monkey Standard' as one person, would have fit a couple comfortably. The wafers on the pillows were a nice touch. The location is great - close to a supermarket and a pharmacy, right next to a cafe, walking distance from the U3 line. The windows blocked most of the noise at night.

The only qualm is that it was a bit dark and the showerhead had to be turned on for it to work.

The manner in which the director handled our situation... professional, kind, and fair. We had booked a room based on the description, yet upon arrival, were given a much smaller room without the amenities listed. The director made concessions, which we found acceptable and generous. We have stayed at Stanys at least once or twice a year for the last few years, and this is the first of such incidents. Very pleased with the resolution.

There were already a pair of underwear on the balcony upon our arrival, so cleaning was not their strong point. Also, the cleaning crew came into our room over an hour before check-out, simply because we were not there. We had went for breakfast, whereas Stanys does not have an acceptable vegan brekfast, which is fine, but our room should not have been entered before check-out.

Room was exceptionally clean, at the first entry very nice smelling, we have noticed every morning it is cleaned. Heating was really good. While we were there temprature was -3 and snowing and room was always warm. Room has hair dryer, and a kitchenette with coffe machine, electric cooktop, working refrigerator, microwave and set of plates, cups, forks and knives. Bathroom, hot water supply, towels are all clean and in good shape. Room has a lot of electric outlets and also a charging station. Bed, headlamps are all very good. Rooms and building are made tidy everyday. Breakfast is available all days and with good quality and reasonable price. Location is Mariahilfer Str., we have visited in winter and was very calm, maybe summer would different. But it is only 7 minutes walk to U-Bahn station and also tram and bus lines are just on minutes. It takes only 40 minutes to Vienna Airport. Lots of nearby patisseries, breakfast providers, bakeries, restaurants and small food shops. Vienna Technical Museum, Schönnbrunn Palace is in walking distance. Thanks a lot.

The staff was very friendly and warm. The room was clean and comfortable and the location was excellent.

In general everything was great, except that the water pressure in the shower was low.
