The property is very tired and needs a good paint. The bathrooms were also very dated, tiles broken, shower screen was falling apart and the basin in the ensuite was badly cracked. I had to wipe down the fridge door as it was so dirty. This gave the impression that the property was not being maintained properly.

Only one key worked, the parking was a bit awkward, with only a few tight spots to pick from. Two sets of lifts to get to the top floors from the car park. Spa wasn't in use when we were there.

location is great. it was a great experience in the past. we have stayed every year since 2021

1. upon arrival we were told to.parking availability which was a shock since we have asked in advance and informed that we came by driving own car.. but then we insisted then the staff said he would help us and found a spot. when we drove to the parking lots there are a lot available. you can tell me what is our impression then if being treated like this. 2. we booked for 6 persons but only 4 towels provided. when we asked for additional towels, we were given extra but found out it was soiled. 3. when we set in the apartment, it smelled mouldy. and we found out the floor is dirty as if not vacuumed. we picked the pieces from the floor to prevent our little ones to eat them. 4. when we opened the curtain in the bedroom, the windows were not just dirty but mouldy. we cleaned it ourselves, not all but enough for our children health and safety you can tell me if you are in our position, will you be happy for such service?

After the concierge was unable to access our allocated room, as the key wouldn't work, we were moved to another room. This room had the same outlook over the Chatswood oval, as we had requested. The sofa bed naturally was unmade but the offer to make it up was made. Had to request the extra 2 towels, no issue in collecting them from the front desk.

This room was as we expected, but we were unable to access the balcony from the bedroom as a note, attached to the door, requested that we didn't use the sliding door. The balcony and outdoor furniture was not clean and there was an empty beer bottle in one corner with cigarette buts in it. This was disappointing as we always use the balcony when we stay.

Apartment could have been cleaner. Things like bedside lamps didn't work and there was no body wash in container in the shower. Also very glad we weren't trying to cook there as it was poorly set-up in terms of cookware, cutlery, etc.

The position was fantastic … close to shopping centre and railway station.. The room was excellent for myself and four grandchildren. With laundry and kitchen and two bathrooms.

We were disappointed that the Spa was unavailable on the days we were there. The Reception was unattended quite often, so unable to be contacted when needed … only through a third party hotline.. We did advise Reception staff of the need to check room cleaning as a few things certainly had been missed. ( took photos for their record)

Location is the only real bonus in staying at the Sebel. Across the road from major shopping centre and restaurants and train station.

Its old and worn out. Pool was damaged and needs a complete overhaul. Spa and sauna closed and gym very basic. We were not told prior to our stay and it certainly wasn’t cheaper. Room was old and curtains damaged and hanging off hooks, very dirty windows, one chair on the balcony - should be two. Didnt self cater which was lucky cause kitchen has very little in it. Bed comfortable . Fir over $300 per night it was not worth that. Sebel used to have a good name/ reputation- not anymore. We wont be back . J and M

The positives, the bed was just sooo comfortable, excellent pillows. Location being right in the heart of Chatswood a bonus.

Staff gave nothing, no advice on hotel facilities local shops of places to eat. Room, there was bloodinyhe wall, a stain on onof the beds. We asked for 1king and 1 queen, got queen and 2 singles. Tea, there was only 2 green and 2 earl grey, no black tea.

The room was filthy, dirty showers mould and hair in showers, stained and wet carpet in the main living areas, dirty kitchen floors, oven had no racks when we tried to use the oven and it was filthy, the entire apartment smelled terrible. We weren’t provided linen for the sofa bed for our children, we waited for linen until 9pm the day of arrival, four phone call requests it still wasn’t provided and then there were no staff on site, a operator from the phone line ended up providing me access to another available hotel room in the building and we had to go and take linen off that bed, there were only four towels provided for six guests, the apartment has only five glasses for six guests, only one wine glass in the apartment. The children were excited for a swim in the hotel pool after our long drive interstate only to find out that the pool was under renovation so was not accessible - none of which was advised to us prior to the booking. I have lodged a formal complaint and want a full refund. This was an absolute joke staying with the Sebel Chatswood.

Check in & car park process was painful, 3 transactions on the day for extras that are not made clear during the booking process. Booked this accommodation purely for a getaway for young kids, happy to pay the price for the facilities described and shown in the advertisements/booking process (pool) because this is the whole purpose. Arrive, get ready for swimming, excited 3 year old….. get to the level and area is closed due to construction - nothing said during the booking process, nothing said during reception check in? Explain to a 3 year old you can’t do exactly what you’ve been hyping them up for weeks about…. Very disappointing. Head to the bath for a “alternative swimming fun”. Have to clean a bunch of hair out of the bath before using to then realise - nope can’t do that either, the plug doesn’t fit. Communication needs to be better and so does the cleaning.

Great location and very generous rooms. Comfortable beds.

The apartment was dirty. Every glass in the cupboards had dried juice in them. A couple of plates had dried food on them. The carpet was gritty. The bathrooms had a lot of mould. The kitchen door had thick dust on the back. The ironing board was rusty and broken. No phones worked so we had to go downstairs to ask for towels. There was even rubbish under the beds. We paid $951 for 2 nights so it wasn't that cheap that would warrant such poor hygiene.

Air con was inconsistent overnight. Inadequate toilet paper supplied (one roll and part of the roll holder was missing), no soap for the shower.

Great location, handy to station, shops & restaurants. Reception staff were helpful and quickly remedied issue with door access code after 3 days when it failed. Asked if we could store luggage from 11am on day of arrival, but were able to access our room early which was great.

Very dated, needs a renovation. Kitchen surfaces looked dirty, but I bought cleaning product and cloths and the bench surfaces were clean, just didn’t look at it, probably due to the colour. Didn’t use oven or stove top as they looked dirty & greasy as did the splash back. Stayed for 8 nights and room was not surfaced, but the website does say it would be cleaned after 7 days, I think for an 8 day stay as service after 4 or 5 days would be much better.

We booked it for the pool Big apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms

On the day of the arrival and after having payed and not being able to cancel we were told that the pool couldn’t be used. Very bad service and no refund
