Dear guests, we would like to inform you that our hotel offers transportation to the second elevator station “Banderishka polyana”. For more information you can ask the reception desk at the hotel. Located only 262 feet from the Gondola elevator and minutes away from the old center of Bansko, the Vihren Royal Palace offers modern and luxurious accommodations.

Complimentary use of the swimming pool, sauna, steam bath and the gym is offered. The spa area also provides various treatments and relaxing massages at a surcharge. The Vihren Royal Palace has a children’s games room on site.

All of the Vihren’s rooms and apartments are elegantly furnished with satellite TV. All accommodations boast stunning views over the Pirin and Rila Mountains. Cooking is not allowed in our hotel.

The location is great, right next to the gondola. The breakfast was decent. The common areas, spa, restaurant, bar were ok.

- the room is very small - the beds are very uncomfortable - the furniture is very old - the windows don't close very well and you can feel the cold air entering the room - electric heaters made the air very dry - the bathroom is small, you can barely fit into the shower cabin, there is mold on the walls, the door was broken - the cleaning is done sloppy and superficial

Breakfast was good. Underground parking was good (they rectified the entrance for 2025 and normal cars can enter now) but quite expensive, 25BGN/day, it was possible to have a parking spot reserved outside for 15BGN/day. The room was big, the heating was very good, hot water working well. Location is great. The sink was clogged when we arrived but told the receptionist and was dealt with immediately. Staff was generally very nice and helpful. Judging by some other reviews I expected worse, but everything that was important was very good and taking into account the price paid I think the hotel is great (180BGN/day/2persons). The spa is a good bonus. We had 2 balconies, the view is amazing.

There were some stains on the sofa, the drainage in the bathroom was made poorly and water would collect in the middle. If I nitpick, the water in the pool could have been a little hotter (it was sufficient, 30-31 degrees C, but a few more degrees and it would have been wonderful). You could quite clearly hear noises from other rooms through the walls, but generally it was quiet and this was not a problem (just one night a group of people arrived at about 3:00 AM and woke us up, I was staying at the 4th floor and my friend was staying on the 1st floor and we both heard the noises those people made)

This is the worse hotel I ever stay, The crew is not friendly ,the house cleaning teams doesn't want to clean, All you asked the crew the answer is the same "tomorrow"' There is no one that support , even when we paid to one of the workers to bring clean bleeding she bring only two ,for the other two the answer was only tomorrow and than the day after she didn’t came…. We left the hotel a day before even that we paid for it !!!!

The hotel was in a very good location not far to walk to get to bars and cafes and the gondola was only a short walk away. Room was spacious and clean and warm. The spa is also a must it was lovely to relax after skiing all day.

The walk to our room in the annex was a bit of a pain especially carrying skis and cases we had to go up to floor one and then across to the annex then walk to another lift and then up to floor 4.

Good location

We stayed in the annex building, and on the first night, we wandered around the hotel for about an hour trying to find our room. The elevator was terrifying—it made a terrible noise, so I only used the stairs for the entire stay. We didn’t have hot water for two out of the three days, despite multiple visits to the reception. There were no radiators in the rooms, just a single heater in the bedroom, so while we slept with some warmth, we were shivering from the cold in the other rooms. The WiFi didn’t work at all. One of our robes had a big hole in it. The pool water was cold, and there were pieces of marble at the bottom. There is no actual jacuzzi—just a small section of the pool with water jets, but the water is the same temperature as the rest of the pool. The cutlery at breakfast was often not washed properly. On our last night, we had pizza at the hotel bar, and we all ended up spending the night in the bathroom. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I have no idea how it has so many stars. Just look at the pictures to see how clean it really was and what our room looked like.(and I do have even more pictures but booking does not let me upload them)

Breakfast didn’t start until 7:30, so it’s a bit rushed to get to the gondola before you end up in a queue for 2-3 hours. Our room was ok but very dated and the maid service only replaced towels and part made the beds every few days. It was not cleaned at all over the week and nothing was provided in the room for us to clean ourselves.

Facilities been upgraded a bit.

Prices have rocket since last coming as come every year. Now will be considering Italy ahead of it as it’s not longer value for money. Food and drink in the area almost double. People not very friendly and rude when serving you. Even the price just to park the car at the hotel has gone up and astonishing amount. Sad as the things Bansko had going for it are no longer its strength.

The location is perfect. Next to the Gondola lift and everything. There is also an underground private parking (15bgn per day). The hotel is very clean. Spa area is nice. Also nice room for breakfast. There was a man responsible for everything, seemed to run the hotel, that was really kind and willing to help.

The rooms seemed very old, a renovation is absolutely needed. Our apartment had a not at all useful kitchen (taking place for no reason) equipped with nothing, you couldn't have even a coffee or tea. I didn't like the fact that when I asked the reception if I can have the room 2 more hours after the scheduled check out, they replied that it would cost 20bgn per hour (but at most hotels they usually agree for free if the room is available of course) and even when I asked 10 extra minutes at the check out to get the luggage at the car, they replied the same, although the room was available.

It was very close to Gondola. Great location. Food was nice. The pool was warm, 30*C measured with apple watch.

We had to pay for Parking of the hotel even though in Booking it said it was included! I searched in Booking specifically with Parking included which showed me this hotel and booked it. The hotel was also non-refundable after a day or two. Then I had to pay extra for the parking of the hotel, when we arrived! I didn’t like this.

Great hotel, very friendly staff, Thomas the owner and manager was there to check the stay was good. Our room had two bedrooms and a lounge, and fridge, perfect for our family group. The staff was super nice. The spa center is clean and everything works perfectly. The food was good with lots of options. It's also close to the ski gondola.

No soap or shampoo in the bathroom, just shower gel. TV is not working. Getting to the restaurant and spa is a maze, so many doors and confusing signs. You can hear everything from the other apartment, and the balcony is shared between two apartments, so no privacy.

The location and the breakfast were good.

The room size is not as described on booking, where it is stated 215sq ft while in reality is so much smaller. More than that, the double room is basically the bedroom of an apartment. When we asked the staff about this issue, initially we were faced with a refusal ”because you booked through booking and not through their website" and "booking can lie about size, it is not hotel problem". After a long discussion in the evening we were postponed for the next day, and then in the morning the same story reocurred. Only after contacting booking.com support we were able to make it a 1 night stay, refunded for the remaining 6 and moved to another location.
