The location is wonderful, just down the hill from the Chateau Frontenac, inside the walls of the old city, with nice breakfast and dinner places close by. The room was clean and quiet - not a peep until at least 9:00 am. The staff were very accommodating, The extra lounge/living room on the ground level was great for coffee, getting together with family for a drink, or even spending a little time on the on-going puzzle in the back room. All-in-all, a superb location and facility.

We loved everything about the hotel. Our room was very quiet, exceptionally clean, and very comfortable. The staff were better than great. The front desk personnel could not have been more accommodating (especially the gentleman who works late afternoon and evening (Pierre?). The front desk staff were able to call many cabs for us which arrived in minutes. The location is perfect for those who like to shop and walk to dinners at excellent restaurants just a few steps away. There are many shops (several souvenir places, but also many very nice boutiques. Close to Notre Dame Cathedral (short walk up hill) with a beautiful Christmas shop across the street. Many high end boutiques on the way back down the hill to the hotel. We had just a wonderful four days because of the kindness of the hotel staff and the hotel itself. We will definitely return!

Best location if visiting Old Quebec. Central to all the sites and all the great restaurants. The restaurant attached to the hotel, Hortus, is great and ended every evening at the bar there.
Only problem this visit was the weather but the hotel can't control that!

The rooms are beautiful and thoughtfully appointed. Lots of plug-ins ,towels, water etc. Very clean. The old character of the hotel is beautifully maintained while being thoroughly modernized.
The staff were also lovely and friendly, and extremely helpful. Attached is a very good restaurant and again, was a positive experience, food wise and staff wise. Location is ssuperb- right in the middle of the old town with all its hub-bub, but the hotel provides a spa-like respite from the business of the tourist area. Also, really appreciated the room with coffee and tea and couches and chairs to lounge in.

Great location and a smaller hotel. We could walk everywhere and enjoyed a quiet room right in the center of Quebec. Staff is welcoming and friendly and very helpful.
The room was well designed and exceptionally clean. Free water, coffee and fruit, and having a small fridge was nice to have.
Pillows were a bit too big and bulky. Having two different sizes to choose from would be a great addition. Otherwise really nothing that we didn’t like.

Hotel and staff are amazing staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, even after we checked out with luggage in storage very kind gentleman in a suit led us to a shoe dryer for our kids rain soaked shoes, and gave hot chocholate mixes to our kids. Location is perfect everything is walkable, tons of restaurants outside the door. Room was big, everything was clean, would definitely stay here again.

The location was perfect for exploring the old town and proximity to great restaurants. This is a little gem of a boutique hotel in a busy area of old Quebec. The hotel was great, but the staff even better. Evening concierge Pierrot went out of his way to accommodate us on more than one occasion and was always professional but so warm and friendly. Lovely hotel in Old Quebec, ideally placed for the chateau and river. Comfortable, clean quiet room with coffee machine, kettle and selection of coffees and teas. Lovely lounge area with snacks and more coffee & tea, but also full of comfortable chairs, stocked bookshelves and a fire to relax in front of. This room also included a desk for working, but the desk space in the room was ample. Breakfast basket available on request.

On Rue-St-Jean with excellent shops, restaurants and cafes outside the door, and a short walk from all of the interesting sights and sites - the boardwalk, lower town, the citadelle, the museums. A major factor was the available information about the room: I was certain that it would have two comfy chairs as well as a desk. Bathroom ticked every box - room to hang the towels including warming rack, ample counter and shelf space for personal toiletries, and, low lighting for the nighttime bathroom visits. The library on the ground floor offers groups an inviting place to socialize on premises, supplied with books and games too. Staff were helpful yet discrete.
Absolutely no complaints or wishes. I will comment for others to understand that as an older property, the bathroom is equipped with a standard bathtub/shower combo, i.e. not a glass-enclosed walk-in shower as has become popular in recent years. That said, the shower experience totally met our needs - hot water, lots of it, good water pressure. For us the location and overall comfort of the room for a multi-night stay were the main considerations and we were very happy with our stay.
