The location of the hotel was great.
We did not know before hand that there wasn't an elevator. We were going on a cruise the following day so we had large luggage to haul up the stairs. I recently had a knee replacement so I wasn't in the best of shape for doing the stairs with luggage. We were fortunate enough to only have to climb one set of stairs.

Dated hotel, if you are carrying large or heavy luggage it might be bit difficult because you have lots of stairs. Check in process could be better because you have to go to a different building to pick up the keys. Visible cobwebs and rooms was so cold. Unable to change the temperature settings.

Nothing as the whole experience was a nightmare.
When I arrived late at 11 pm the room was not clean after the previous guest, scattered beer cans and garbage on the floor, dirty bed linen, pillows on the floor, wet towels on the floor in the bathroom, unpleasant smell. No hotel personnel was not available after 5 pm to help with any issues as they had no front desk after 5 pm. Guests are on their own. Nobody was answering the phone on the instruction poster. By chance, I called the number in my phone from a previous interaction with a hotel rep and, because there were no more rooms available, I was told to use the room as I found it or to leave and find another hotel, nobody was available in the hotel to give me clean sheets and towels. When I said that I had a conference early morning and it was almost midnight, plus no hotels had availability in the vicinity because of several events in town, and I needed somebody to clean the room, I was told that if I did not vacate the property within 30, police would be called. I had to leave in the middle of the night and look for another hotel, loaded with luggage and on foot. My night and the following conference day was ruined. Disgusting experience.

I liked that it was central to everything in Old Quebec, all walking distance to the Christmas markets.
The rugs throughout need updating. No reception, had to go to another sister property to check in and ask for things. Thin walls. Heard screaming kids at all hours.

The hotel was dirty, to find the room is like an escape game. We have a view in the direction of the trash. The room smells humidity, and we see some dirty stuff in the room. When the receptionist says to us, change the room, the new one has heaters broken and the outdoor temperature was -6C. And we don't have to sleep in this place the condition was very bad. When I have talked with the owner, she says (It was not possible to refund us because all were correct to us), and she disrespect to me.

Unfortunately the restaurant did not open at 8 am as advertised (due to a lost key) but there was nothing posted on the door, and there were about 10 people feeling rather disappointed. I understand things like this happen but a failure to post a note about that is somewhat unprofessional. Not enough to negatively affect my review, but an improvement in this area would be appreciated.

Misleading images. Room was minuscule. Their idea of a large bed is a twin mattress. Building in serious need of repair. Hot water fluctuations, noisy leaky toilet. Just terrible, uncomfortable and will NEVER stay there again.
