Price is always expensive in Geneve. They charge CHF 3.5 per day per person due to city tax. It is a government tax, but it was a surprise for me.

Staff. The guy who was on the reception wasnโt pleasant at all. We asked about late check out and the answer was: no! Weโre sold out . You go out at 12:00!
That was said in not really polite way.
And of course they still had rooms available on booking, we did checked it.
Itโs no problem if late check out is against their policy but you definitely have to train your staff to speak politely with people.
The lady serving for the breakfast was lovely though.
Hotel itself very old and not beautiful.

I have stayed here 3 or 4 times, I like the location close to the lake, but there is so much within walking distance and the transport links are excellent.
The Churchill is a budget hotel, certainly in Geneva terms, but as long as you accept that, it provides a clean and safe place to stay.
Shower was hot and powerful, and big enough for all 6 foot plus of me.
Bearing in mind I have already said it is budget, so a spacious room and luxury isn't in my expectation.
The rooms are compact, fine for me when travelling solo.
If I had one gripe, it is no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
However, I knew this and still revisited, so will rate this as meeting my expectations.

this hotel is a very good price for value. The hotel is placed in a nice street near the lake, in a romantic and tipical area. My room was an internal one, very quite.
The great plus is that the check-out is at 12, this allows a more comfortable stay in the city.
the big bad was split into 2 mattrasses, and during the night they get distant and somehow uncomfortable

I enjoyed the location , its very central near everything you need
It's missing the afforce of the Hotel Management .
At the breakfast
Tables were placed with dirty table cloths .
Scramble eggs for breakfast, looks like the eggs were placed in warmer machine never been scrambled.
Recipients for serving the breakfast were very old and rusted .
Also the smelling for dusty carpet , it seems not been washed for long period of time
Overall ,the Hotel must be improve to welcoming people , it's shame being managered in this way .

We booked this hotel so we can watch fireworks and it was perfect for us as it's just 4mins walk from Lake Geneva where the fireworks was displayed. We also didn't carry the correct charger and hotel receptionist provided us with one. Over all it's a good budget hotel in a good location.
The room was a bit cold in the night and the lift a bit small so we opted to use the stairs.

The hotel is very old and gives you "next to the road" motel vibe. The rooms were old and used, there was very little space. The food on the breakfast was very limited. The room didnt have basic hotel staff like water, tea, kettle etc. It was very hot at the room and there was no working AC. The hotel should be renovated asap.

I believe the main selling point of this hotel is certainly its location! There are so many options for food and to get to the main fountain is no more than a two minute walk!
While the location is lovely, the hotel itself is fairly unremarkable, other than the lovely little portrait of Winston Churchill himself hanging on the wall as soon as you enter the door! I must say the elevator was quite small, and if you have luggage, realistically it can only fit one person at a time. This is something I believe most people can look past considering the value and location of this hotel :)

This boutique hotel was nice, clean and the staff were friendly. My bed and pillows were comfortable which I welcomed after a long trip. The price point for the location was great! You can walk to lake Geneva in 3 min and public transportation is all around you.
Itโs hard to say anything negative about my experience. The only thing I can say is that the bathroom is tiny so I need to maneuver around the door in many occasions. And itโs noisy during the day due to construction in the area at this time. At night it was quiet!

They said it had just been fixed and rooms would be cooled down when we areive back from dinner. That was 10pm and it was still hot in rooms. Hotel staff said sorry we would have to live with it. It was to late to find some where else to stay with 2 rooms of my family. Was a very hot night with no sleep. Asked staff for a discount and they said no.

Hotel Churchill is run down and in need of renovation. The internet in my room was variable and only good for messaging and texting. If I wanted to make a WHATSAPP phone call I had to go downstairs to the lobby. I was initially told that the safe deposit box was not functioning but pressed the matter and they eventually provided me with the key. On the breakfasts, it seemed that they were adding water to the scrambled eggs to make them go further, thus the eggs were watery. Not very appetizing. Please watch your belongings as a theft of money was reported by two guests, while I was there. The Management informed me that they took swift action and called the police. Hotel Churchill in a good location close to shops and the Lake.

Room was too hot, temperature not controllable. Bathroom was a nightmare. Horrible shower. Much worse than all other showers experienced across Switzerland. Staff was not polite and had AirPods in throughout service. The view was terrible overlooking the public garbage and a construction site. 2 twin beds pushed together to make one bed. Our key did not work. Our doors would not shut and latch properly without immense force.

The location is great! Very easy and quick access to efficient public transport. The hotel gives you a pass thatโs provided by the city for free unlimited public transport. Front desk staff were helpful in answering my questions and spoke many languages. Hotel was very clean, and bed was comfortable. Small European size rooms but perfect for a short stay. Heating was great, especially in chilly late November. Having breakfast included saved a lot of money.
The fridge in my room did not seem to work. It would be nice to have a kettle in the rooms since getting drinks in Geneva is expensive.
