Location is amazing, city reachable by foot along the lake, or with bus from across the streets (many buses). Parking for 20€ for 2 days right next to the hotel, very convenient since you can use your visitor card to get around. Relatively economic for Lucerne.

The location is very accessible, the bus that takes you to/from the city center stops almost in front of the building (every 10 min). It is also very close to 2 supermarkets and a small restaurant. Nice Room and helpful front desk. They provided Public transport card which helped us to hop over any Bus for all attractions around.
Big plus was Migros was neaby and bus stop was just 3 minute's away.
Only thing was we did not have a lift in the properly which made us lift all the luggage to 2nd floor. This never bothered as the Hotel was very quiet and allowed late entry with a sensor which opened the main entrance.
Recommend this hotel.

There was a breakfast available for extra 14 CHF per adult 10 CHF for our 10 year old and our 3 year old was free. We didn’t eat the breakfast we needed to get on the road. There was a balcony. That let in a nice breeze.

The location was great for the pricing. It was not near the main town historic center but we knew that. The room was wonderful and there were beds for the five of us. There was a large bed for us parents and three small beds set up for our children. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and spacious. The host gave good directions on how to get to the location and where to park. We enjoyed the room and would come again.
It took a while to figure out the lighting for the bathroom. In the end we needed to use a plastic object to move the switch over on the wall it was hard to push with my fingers because it was so tight.

4 stars – Convenient and Peaceful, but Warm Rooms
Seminarhotel Romerohaus is in a great location—peaceful yet close to the city and public transport. It was a perfect base for exploring Lucerne. The only downside was the air circulation in the room. It got quite warm, and opening the window let in bugs, which made it hard to sleep comfortably. A fan or screen on the windows would really improve the experience. That said, the setting and convenience still made it a good stay overall.

We only stayed here a single night as the last stop during our honeymoon before heading home. We liked that breakfast was offered even though it was an extra 20CHF (10 CHF per person) in our case. The location was easy to get to by bus which was free to use with the free bus pass that's given with the hotel reservation and downloadable prior to the check in. This location is also very close to a Migros store so getting some quick groceries or items is easy. There are also some restaurants around within walking distance but the options aren't as numerous as a location in the center of town. There was also a small fridge in the room (we stayed in 102) so we were able to have cold water or protein drinks which was a very nice touch. The breakfast buffet had some nice options that would accommodate all diet styles besides vegan regarding protein options. But we had hard boiled eggs, yogurt, bread, apples, for example. The bathroom towels are also massive which is really nice! The staff were also very kind and accommodating with our check in.
As with many of our stays we noticed there was no fan in the room to allow for air circulation. We would love to see more rooms offer a standing fan that can be used on an "as needed" basis to help with airflow and heat. The heat required us to sleep without blankets entirely. The shower water also leaks out of the shower quite a bit due to the low lip on the shower itself so the floor of the small bathroom got quite wet. The wifi signal in our room 102 was also quite spotty and weak, losing connection often and requiring me to be near the door to the room to preserve connection. Placing another wifi emitting device closer to that side of the building would help this problem.

* When showering, water just runs off the curtain onto the floor — the whole bathroom ends up wet.

I stayed at Seminarhotel Romerohaus in Lucerne for one night (12–13 December), and I really enjoyed the experience.
The hotel gave me a nostalgic student / university dorm vibe, which honestly took me back to my uni days in a very positive way. The atmosphere felt calm, simple, and welcoming, and I was genuinely happy with the stay.
The room was clean, warm, and comfortable, and everything worked as expected. The staff were friendly and helpful — one of them even reminded me of Lucius Malfoy from Harry Potter ?, which added a fun and memorable touch to the experience. Lucerne itself also has a bit of a magical, Harry Potter–like atmosphere, especially in winter.
