The owner and his wife were more than helpful. We could not have asked for more guidance and personal attention, even from family. Everything was spotless, the bathrooms were gorgeous, the interior architecture was exquisite. This is not the Hilton, so much more attractive! The street is quiet and safe and provided very pleasant walking, maybe the best in Frankfurt, plus the hotel is close to Palmengarten, one of Germany's gems.

The location near the Goethe University and botanical gardens (Palmengarten) was excellent. There are several excellent restaurants, cafes, and a small Konditorei (bakery) nearby and the neighborhood is very walkable. Only a short walk to the Palmengarten and the U-bahn (subway).

Parking could be a problem if you are travelling by car; a lot of the parking in the neighborhood requires a permit to park on the weekdays. On weekends, many of the street parking areas are open to all and we found a parking space one block away. Also, as with many historic buildings in Europe, there is no elevator and the hotel has four floors. It was not an issue for us, but if you have mobility issues or are travelling with older people this might not be the place for you.

Lovely small boutique hotel in a very nice and upmarket neighbourhood , lots of restaurants and wine bars around the area . Just 10 mins to center by cab . Well maintained rooms

I reserved that Lie big Hotel almost 3 weeks before travelling, next day after reservation hotel immediately withdrew 100% from my card, than at the day of my arriving to hotel they tried 2nd time to withdrew money but my banking system blocked that suspicious transaction, so I didn’t let to hotel 2nd time to get payment for reservation I already paid, despite on hotel conditions pay at the place, than during my flight hotel canceled my reservation despite on my message that I am at the way to the hotel, to my message they didn’t answer, when I was at plane they wrote me and of course I couldn’t answer, than almost immediately after landing I answered to hotel but manager said we already gave your reservation to other person. That was 1st time I met such problem using booking app, I am using booking since 2010, and in my experience it was a lot of checking in much more late time than at that case. So my money withdrew, I was able to reserve another hotel, and I think name of this hotel Lie Big means Big lie fits to that hotel and its staff exactly. Be careful when trying to reserve and any at LIE BIG HOTEL

Lovely hotel in a very good neighborhood. Walking distance from Goethe University Westend. Mr and Mrs Rondoni are very professional and friendly hosts. The rooms are very clean and the beds are good. I was happy that my luggage was safe at the hotel before checking in and after checking out, so I didn't have to take it to the congres venue.

It is really unacceptable to be yelled at the reception as a customer. Drinking water is a very basic need, more important than shower gel. I hope they wont extra charge mini shampoo bottles too in the future. (A friendly advice: If you don’t like your job you should retire, do not make your customers uncomfortable.)

Enjoyed the period property with the high ceilings and tasteful furnishings in a great location for us attending an event nearby. Staff was excellent and the breakfast was very beautifully presented, generous and tasty.

We asked for a double bed; we had two mattresses, joining in the middle, but the quality of one of the mattresses was not as good as the other one. Nonetheless we slept soundly.

Very kind and helpful owner. I had a nice, spacious, airy single room on the 4th floor with a parquet floor, a small bathroom, lots of cupboards, a well-equipped minibar, and all sparkling clean! But the best and absolutely worth a compliment to the owners: A large French bed with the best quality cushions, duvet and bed linen I experienced on my frequent travels! I had the best two nights' sleep in a Hotel! Great location close to public transport, within walking distance to the Centre, surrounded by great Italian Restaurants

The only tiny downside, is the missing elevator, taking the suitcase to the 4th floor, but it is announced on their website and I was also offered a room on a lower floor - so it was my own choise and I took it as an excersise.
