The location is amazing! The staff is very helpful.
The hotel is attached to a historic church in the heart of old Annecy and has a lot of charm.
We loved the narrow winding stairs up our floor. Our room overlooked the canal and had a lovely view! It was quite hot but our room was equipped with an oscillating fan.
The rooms are a bit dated. The WiFi didn’t work to well.

Rooms need updates, air-conditioning not really working, but plenty of fans provided, the toilet unit was rocking, not sturdy, but considering everything and prices I highly recommend Hotel de Savoie!

Even with the great location, I expected better for the price. Not a very nice room, and the radiator never turned on but there was an electric heater in the room, which seems sketchy. And you could clearly hear the people next door. A perfectly fine budget hotel, except it was €89 for one person, which isn't exactly "budget" for a hotel in France.

What we liked most was that the hotel is in the city centre right opposite the Canal and the old prison. With a great view to it.
We had Christmas Market on our door step.
The shower is very good.

The hotel was located in the centre of town.
Our stay at this hotel was horrible. First the television didn't work. It didn't even turn on. When we asked the staff for help they said they didn't know what to do. Then in the morning, the ceiling started to drip in the room. Lots of dirty water was coming into the room and dirtying our stuff. We put towels on the floor and the water was yellow. We went to see the owner downstairs and he blamed the guests staying in the room. But it was a recurring problem as I had noticed a stain on the ceiling the night beforem
He said he couldn't fix the tv last night because it was too late wheb he was told by his staff and it was the fault of the previous guests who broke it. So basically all the problems in his hotel were because of the guests. When we checked out I asked for a refund of 30%. He said no. When I said I was not going to pay he threatened to call the police. He basically laughed at us and said that he didn't care if he got a bad review on Booking because his hotel was always booked. This was the worst stay at a hotel in all my life and I travel a lot This interaction with this dispicable man ruined my stay in Annecy and triggered my anxiety very deeply. I have never met someone so careless about clients.

Charming, quaint hotel in the center of historic Annecy. Location was ideal for walking to shops, restaurants, lakeside, and markets. We got a small corner room on the 3rd floor overlooking the town, canals, and church facade. Hallways are narrow and 2 flights of stairs led to our room. The small bathroom was sufficient for our needs. There was no air-conditioning but a floor fan was available in the closet. We slept with windows open to enjoy the fresh night air. A small refrigerator in the room kept our beverages chilled nicely. The concierge was pleasant and helpful. Doors had electronic looks for security. Outlets were few and no USB ports.
Usable outlets were very few and hard to access, and no USB ports. Shower door was not working properly.

The main factor for the rating is due to being charged twice for the hotel stay. The front desk confirmed they the payment needs to be made at the front desk itself which was done while checking in. But at the same time, a payment for the same amount was deducted from the bank account provided for guaranteeing the stay which was noticed couple of days after the stay. The hotel confirmed by email this was caused by an error on the booking.com platform but has since gone silent on the refund of the excess amount charged. Subsequent follow ups with booking.com customer service has also been of no use even after providing proof of the excess amount charged. Extremely tiny rooms, which are very old.
