The room was fantastic, very well decorated for such an older property. I loved the sixties vibe that was updated very nicely. The location sur le Mer was amazing. We were originally booked for the Annex, which is across the busy street away from the beach and the other hotel services. I asked to be upgraded for 90/per room upon check in and we lucked out. It as a fantastic room. I would highly recommend this location, just not the Annex.

The air conditioning was AMAZING! It was super hot in France, and great AC was much appreciated. I also loved being right on the beach. The staff was very nice and that dog Mayo was the bomb diggity!!
The hotel does not allow guests to take drinks from the bar onto the private beach area. I think this is a terrible mistake and a lost income opportunity for the hotel. Many resorts provide service to their beach - food AND drinks. This is not offered at Hotel Lido and it's a huge loss. It made me leave the beach a lot sooner than if there had been an opportunity to eat and drink. Just buy some plastic dishware if you're worried about breakage on the beach! Come on, Hotel Lido. Get it together!

Location was excellent, close to Collioure, beautiful quiet beach.
But watch out for very deep sea. Unless you have a level 5 in professional swimming, don't even think going more then two metres from the shore especially during windy days.
Food during dinner time was excellent.
Room which was given to us was on the worst side and level, just above the noisy hotel kitchen and overlooking a car park. It was really awful. Most of the other guests (French speaking!!!) were allocated rooms on the other side of the hotel building, overlooking a quiet, nice looking pool area.
Breakfast - very narrow choice. In short: bread, croissants, jams, some slices of ham.

The nearby village was not our taste (cheap food places).
Food was good and staff very helpful.
Rooms were seriously outdated, included carpet on the floor… there are better solution nowadays.
Bath sink was literally in the shower… don’t ask how…
Both bathroom and toilet seemed not to fit… everywhere gaps and holes.
Interesting enough, above also counts for the pool… reasonable size wise, but just not clean and tidy enough
Although it was cleaned daily, the whole look and feel of the rooms gave it a shabby appearance….
This place could have been one of the best places on the Mediterranean..

Our stay was absolutely incredible, starting with a warm welcome from the staff. Everyone was so cheerful and incredibly kind! The outdoor environment was beautiful and very pleasant! We loved the hotel. My son and I had been watching the TDF nearby. The location near the beach, the 60's style, the fact that it is family owned and run. The staff were all very helpful. They upgraded us to a larger twin room. The bedroom was clean, the beds comfortable. The breakfast buffet by the pool is fantastic. We swam in the sea 3 times. The water was about 22 degrees Celsius, calm, clean and clear. We went to Girona in Spain - only 75 minutes away. We also visited nearby quaint fishing port/village of Collioure. We would love to come back here with other members of our family.

We had a room in the annexe across the road from main hotel. The room has a terrace but no sea view but as we were only there for one night it didn’t bother us. The room itself was good. Air con that worked perfectly and noiselessly, the bed was huge and very comfortable. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant facing the beach. Staff are friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Spent 3 nights in Grand Hotel du Lido. Such a lovely experience. Reception and all staff were so friendly and helpful. Hotel was spotless. Outside terraces and pool area so lovely. It is situated near the beach which is amazing for families, you can easily access it. Very nice pool that could be used by everyone. The staff was very nice . The best was the dinner, we enjoyed diversity of good food. The breakfast as well was ok, however would be nice to have some diversity.
The family room was situated near the kitchen so it was very noisy in early morning as well as late night.
Last night of our stay the room was cleaned very bad, with sand and hair everywhere. Would be nice to have clean room during all days of the stay.

The food was too pricy. The breakfast was 19€ and it was not to the standard. We had to pay the scrambled eggs separately and they were awful. Looked like a soup. Even the expresso coffee we had to pay separately…for a 19€ breakfast i think a better breakfast was expected. There was no variety of fruit, the cakes were in plastic bags. The only good thing was the variety of bread. The coffee was not fresh…we had to take it from a machine and it looked like a canteen where you had to take you trail…

There was some confusion regarding rooms. Part of our family was on the annex and the other in the main hotel. There was a room next door to mine which was free the entire duration. No idea why they couldn't have moved us closer together. The parking was horrendous. The parking lot is much too small and street parking is not easy to find.

Our balcony’s sea view was obscured by trees which was not explained. The balcony had loose paving stones and a leaking broken down pipe supported by a plastic bucket which was full of diry water. It dripped all night. There were no bar snacks available at the bar or for service at the pool side (we would have used this if available as there are no cafes nearby). Breakfast was a shambles, with no hot food options other than boiled eggs and the buffet badly laid out so you had to keep walking aross other people to get stuff. The coffee maker in the room was ok but cups not cleaned or replaced throughout our stay.

The room we were given was nothing like the room shown on photos. Only about 2 foot all round the bed. The en-suite was ridiculously small. Virtually had to climb over the toilet to get in the shower!!

Very poor vegetarian option for the Demi pension evening meal and when I was asked was my meal OK and I explained that some beans and a raw sliced mushroom and a fig was not really a good vegetarian meal, and that I was just saying that so they could improve for the next vegetarian, the manager (I think, not one of the waiting staff who were all lovely) was pretty rude

The location was lovely, from sitting poolside to walking down to the beach was less than a minute away. The pool is on the small side but with a huge beach a minute away it really didn't matter. Facilities where good and the staff friendly and accommodating. Check in area was lovely and restaurant, was good although we only had a lunch there.
The room was small but nicely done out. I must have got my wires crossed on the difference between a balcony (which I though we be the smaller) and a terrasse which is what we had, supposedly. Overlooked a car park and was not inviting to sit out all all, so we didn't, this was disappointing. I did book at the cheaper end of the rooms! Having said all that, I would return.

It’s directly at the beach snd in September it’s free to use the hotel’s facilities at the beach.
The staff except the management is very friendly.
The breakfast was disappointing. Although the croissants are homemade and tasty and they offer fresh fruit. The loud music at the breakfast destroys the setting.
We stayed in the new house opposite the street. The hotel buildings are brightly lit day and night. It’s difficult to make the room dark and still have fresh air.
The manager was very sarcastic when we asked to turn the music down at breakfast.

Very comfortable bed, very quiet at night.
Shutters available (unfortunate we didn't discover them earlier during our stay).
Little balcony.
Room was clean and modern, nice laminated flooring, nice and good size bathroom.
Far enough from the town centre (40 minutes walk).
Parking in the car park is tight.
Shower joints in need to be redone.
No complimentary water. no kettle in the room.

The staff were really lovely, and the location is gorgeous - the beach is in your backyard and you're far enough away from the noise and touristy bits of the centre of town. The restaurant was really good as well, and felt like fair value for money (esp in a town where frankly most of the restaurants are overpriced for lower-quality food).
It wasn't great value overall. No one told us when we checked in that breakfast wasn't included, and we found out upon checkout that is was 20EUR per person (and my partner really doesn't eat breakfast, so it made for a very expensive coffee - yes we should have asked, but it was a nasty surprise). And there is a "private beach club" (a fenced off area on the beach for guests of the hotel), but you still had to pay to sit there, and on top of that pay for any food or drink etc. It felt like at least using the loungers or umbrella should have been free for guests. The room was good, though slightly dated. All in all it just felt like we were paying a high price for the room, and nothing else was included.

The hotel is situated very close to the beach. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful dinner in their restaurant overlooking the sea.
Taxi from Perpignan costa about 100 euros, probably a little more from the airport. Would recommend visiting with a rental car to better explore the surroundings

Bad soundproofing between rooms. Bed was a brick. The lateral sea view rooms don't have a sea view unless you stick your head out over the balcony railing.

View from junior suite exceptional. Food was very good. Staff were like something out of a 5 star premium hotel.
Bathrooms a little dated and rooms still using traditional keys is annoying, plus not the most stroller friendly by the lift and entrance.
