I booked and paid for a room with a city view but got a 7’ high wall round the terrace. It is extremely hard to reach the property by car. Loved the hotel but it is hard to move luggage about through the cobbled streets

We stayed two nights, the first night we were given the smallest room in the hotel. The shower was incredibly small and not fit for purpose; we are a slim couple and you could not turn around in the shower with the curtain enveloping you.
As above. When I spoke to reception to say this was not the room booked, they apologised but did not have any other available that night. The receptionist Namon was extremely helpful and sympathetic and upgraded us to a suite for the next night which was delightful.

My only critique would be the size of the room. However this can be typical in France.
Too many passageways & steps to access the room - very difficult if you have luggage .
Was very disappointed with the size of the room and bathroom .
Although the hotel is in a quiet side street , this street can get very very noisy early in the morning when the garbage collection vans and the municipal cleaning facilities frequent the street .

Staff went over and above to help us. Even though my French is less than wonderful, they understood what I was trying to say, and replied in English or French as appropriate. The location was excellent, and we could walk almost everywhere, including to the central station when we wanted to catch the train back to the TGV station before going to Paris. Breakfast was much better than I expected and the room itself was extremely comfortable.
The lighting in the room was a little dim in the evenings, but was okay in the daytime. No central light. Some kind of hand washing facility in the toilet would've been nice, but by no means essential.

The hotel is charming and the location is excellent. We really liked staying here. There are shops and restaurants right near by, great sites and streets to see right in Avignon, and it is a 10 min walk to the main train station so it is easy to visit other nearby cities. We stayed here to see Avignon and do day trips to Arles, Nimes, and Pont du Gard. The hotel is right in Place de l'Horloge - it's a great location!
There was some noise at night - either from a restaurant below or the street (not sure), but we still slept well. Closing the window closed does block much of the noise. I couldn't figure out how to use the air conditioning, but this is probably a 'me' thing, and I'm sure a staff member could have told me how to use it properly. (We didn't need it, though.)

Great Wi-fi. My room had a private terrace with a shower. The location couldn't be much better. It's a short walk from the train station (not the TGV), the papal palace, and several other museums.
Incredibly small room for a double. There was an old fashioned European style bathtub which is difficult to get in and out of and can be difficult to stand in when using the shower. There are no modernized plugs so charging electronics can be challenging.

Location, location, location! Right in the heart of the city and accessible by Uber! Train station 1/2 mile away. Staff was great. Our room overlooked the main square. Lots of shopping, restaurants.
Uber and taxi’s do not like going there and it took an hour to get a ride almost missed our train. Not the property’s fault, but a problem.

The walls of the tub/shower were very high, making it hard to access. The tub surface was very slick and had no means to make it feel safer. There were no grab bars which would have at least slightly helped those conditions. I'm not handicapped nor with limited mobility, so that wasn't the issue.

Beautiful and comfortable rooms, cute hotel with lots of corners of interest. My daughter had a room with an adorable balcony looking out over the rooftops of Avignon. The breakfast was delicious. Also the location could not have been better.
My room was next to a disco or some sort of bumping musical activity.
