Hotel was centrally located as described.
Room very small and in need of refurbishment. For example, carpets are worn and dirty. Room was very dark with insufficient lighting.
There was a fire alarm at 3am on Saturday morning. No problem with this but only 4 people left the hotel and no one else did. We were then the only two left standing outside at 330am and hotel staff never came to speak with us. When we approached them they told us it was false alarm. There was no communication at all either over the tannoy or in person. This is a safety issue.

The location is ideal for access to the old town of Beziers and their car park is located below the hotel so idea. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bedroom was very quiet with double windows each doubled glazed. So a goodnight sleep.
The room was very small. There wasn’t enough space to put the suitcases and very little hanging space. The breakfast was very average. Not a lot of selection. For example they had very small processed croissants rather than fresh full

Our family room wasn't as nice as the advertised one. The sofa bed (set up by the staff for our child) was a double bed and filled all the remaining space in the room except for a narrow path around the 2 double beds. It's ridiculous to charge extra for a family room and then provide a double double which simply doesn't have enough space for it. Far from a 4 star experience.

Hard to find the hotel, as Mercure sign so small, and it didn’t help that it was the same building as the Ibis which had a massive sign.
Underground carpark was very tight to manoeuvre into.

We knew room was quite small but we’re still surprised how cramped it was partly due to poor layout. All a bit run down. Double windows banged into each other, shower could do with limescale removing and tiling and seals tidying up. Safe at floor level with batteries hanging out unsurprisingly didn’t work. Basically not awful but not worth the price.

The room was clean and the wooden panelling gave it the feeling of a boat cabin. It was nice to have a kettle in the room.
Breakfast at €18 per person is far too expensive. The shower is extremely complicated (might just be me but the three dials just meant I adjusted everything except what I wanted). The round window in the bathroom facing the bed meant if someone needs the loo in the night the light shines and wakes the other. The location was dark and cramped with no views. There was very little that was appealing.

Hotel is close to the center and within walking distance. Driving is not for the faint of heart, nor is finding parking in the area, so drive to the hotel, park and walk the city. Breakfast was good and the staff, despite my really lousy French, was helpful and friendly.
Hotel is undergoing renovation - not an issue but be aware of that as during the week there is some noise during working hours. Access to the hotel is directly off a main street - however you can not enter the parking garage without a key card, available at the front desk.
