Room was lovely & clean. We had breakfast included, would say the buffet was satisfactory, but could with a few more options, the availability of extras such as choice of eggs could be made more obvious.
I would just say the selection of items on the breakfast buffet could be greater, and mentioning more obviously the selection of eggs being available by even a simple menu would be nice.

The hotel is modern and conveniently located 10 min walk from the historic centre. The room was spacious, very clean, cleaned regularly and well equipped - kettle, hairdryer, robes, slippers etc.
Vincent on reception was very helpful, friendly and pleasant.
Many 5 stars offer you a welcome drink and a porter to help with luggage - these weren’t offered to us on arrival, even though we arrived late.
However, the thing that other reviewers have commented on before is breakfast. It really is like Fawlty Towers… Firstly, it’s served in a lounge/bar area (not in the hotel restaurant) and the chairs are too low for the tables, so everyone is eating their food off their knees! Secondly half of the food is laid out on temporary tables in a dark area of the room. What food there is, is mediocre at best… think sweaty cheese…Thirdly, we were never offered a breakfast menu, even though we knew we could order eggs. Finally, the chap who was clearly in charge doesn’t seem to like people - I had to go and ask him for a coffee and it never came. He just seemed to spend his time cleaning tables and making sure guests paid their breakfast bill. One lady (his deputy) was doing her best but it needs more than one person to resolve this disaster!

A lot of issues with the rooms. Have to change late in the evening to another room due to electrical issues. New room did not have wifi. Was only fixed by next day. Things like this should not happen if you pay this amount for a room. Also the service was not very polite, they made us feel like we were not welcome.

All very good. Room was very modern, air-conditioned and comfortable. All the staff were professional, helpful and friendly. We like the location because it was close to the tram for the airport. There is a good restaurant in the hotel and good ones nearby. Nothing to fault here. If you are good at walking, your can reach most places on foot except City of Wine.

We received a free upgrade to a suite which was a wonderful treat . Room was so spacious and beautifully decorated, felt like a mini apartment. I even took a picture of the bathroom to try to replicate for my house. Breakfast was wonderful, huge selection of food and great coffee. Location was great because, even though you are not right outside the main area of shops and cafes (5-10 walk), it was quieter for sleeping. Plus we found some gems a block or two away from the hotel for dinner (ask the hotel about the tapas place close by). There is also a Michelin-guided restaurant 2 blocks down, as well as a lovely corner bakery. Enjoy!
