As a solo traveller I was put on 4th floor, which felt secure - especially as thee was always someone in reception.
Room was far larger than anticipated with a great hot shower.
Breakfast was well stocked and fresh.
The location was only a few minutes from the train station so easy to walk with luggage and yet was peaceful. It was then only 15mins walk to see the medieval cité. Perfect location.

The staff are fantastic, helpful, friendly and a great source of information. The hotel itself is lovely & clean, the beds comfortable and the lift a godsend. The shower was amazing too! It's perfectly placed for the train station and town with lots of café's and bars nearby. The shutters make sleeping a dream. There are church bells nearby but they're lovely to listen to and don't disturb your sleep at all. From our terrace I got to watch a hawk that likes the church, swallows chirruping, gecko's and a few bats at night. Don't worry about airport transfers as there is a shuttle bus for €5 between the airport & the train station and the hotel is a short 10 minute walk. The mediaeval city is about 25 mins away and flat until you have to walk up to the gates. Carcassonne is an amazing place and a genuine place to unwind & enjoy the food, drink (local beer is lovely too) and for exploring. There's a lovely river walk & the Canal du Midi is very pretty too. The churches are a must see too.
If you want to get out and about the train to Lourdes cost us about €100 return and was well worth the overnight trip. We also went to Narbonne 30 mins away which was beautiful. Toulouse is about 30 mins too and worth exploring. We were there for 8 days (flight got grounded so one bonus night thanks to Ryanair) and we could have easily stayed longer.
We'll be back to the hotel at some point. Carcassonne is a magical city that weaves a spell on you that makes you want to stay & come back.
Le Petit Moka cafe in the main square is an avoid. The drinks are great but the staff rude & service poor. The rest of the restaurants in the square are all fabulous with nice staff, great food and service.
There are no complaints about the hotel or staff, just compliments.

For me, the perfect location. Close to the train station (passing a lock on the Canal du Midi which was fun to watch the boats using), easy walk to the Square and shops. Close to the 2B bus stop for a ride to the medieval Cité - should you not wish to walk. I loved hearing the deep tone bells of St Vincent’s - which are silenced at night. The staff are very friendly and extremely patient and encouraging with my school girl French. Elevator and good AC. The decor is old chic and rather fun. I enjoyed the chaise longue in my room! Not five star of course but suited my needs perfectly.

Located in the north west corner of the Bastide (lower old town) so very convenient for bars and restaurants and about 30 minutes walk to the famous old city and castle. There is no parking but there is a secure underground car park just 5 minutes walk away to the north (only 7 euros for 24 hours). I'd just booked a single occupancy but that changed last minute as my wife decided to join my - I contacted the hotel and they changed my reservation without any problem and I just paid the difference on arrival. Nice, friendly lady on reception. It's not a fancy hotel but perfectly good for a short stay and good value for the location.

Everything in the room. I dont know what the other rooms were like, but I felt my room was kept to 'rent out only if no other rooms were available'. This was a double not a single room - interestingly every other review gave a 9 but shared no pictures. I would like to see pictures of the other rooms compared to mine. I have downloaded 4 pictures - 1 showing the shower but only one has appeared.

Location was good. The room had a very generously-sized terrace with good furniture although the astroturf was looking a bit threadbare in places and needs a clean..
The room was ok but needs updating and possibly remodelling - there was only one plug socket and none by the beds, which was quite awkward. The layout of the rom was odd- the toilet was right next to the bed whereas the shower and basin were at the other end of the room in a separate section. The toilet could be perhaps moved to make a proper ensuite bathroom, and where the toilet now is could be a cupboard or wardrobe.
The bed was big but lumpy. Overall the room needs a lick of paint and some better lighting.

Very advantageous hotel price, probably one of the best in the town.
Separate room for bathroom and toilet, which can be helpful I suppose if staying with more than one person.

At the check-in, first they offered me a room that was not clean after someone stayed there. Clerical mistake happen.
Next room, it was an upgrade overall, but it could use some more deep cleaning. There were stains on the coffee cups in the room, dead flies sticking on the ceiling, probably someone killed them with flyswatter but didn't remove them afterwards.
The hotel need to dedicate more resource to cleaning obviously.
Cherry on the top, chandelier hanging over the end of the bed was peculiar definitely.
