The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was lovely, a good selection of food. The pool looked good, although I didn't use it myself. The bed and pillows were extremely comfy and well beyond expectation. Although there is no kettle in the rooms, tea and coffee are available for free down near reception. There is also a water dispenser which was very useful. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the citadel.

This is not a reflection of the hotel at all but as a solo traveller, travelling just off season, I didn't feel very comfortable going out at night. There weren't many people about and the area appeared run down in places. That is in no way the fault of the hotel, simply something less adventurous travellers might want to consider. I gather it is much busier in the main season with more people about. I still had a lovely time.

Location is perfect. The old town is just in 5 minutes walk. The room was clean and quiet. The shower was working well. The breakfast was also good, nothing special but everything you need. You can also have some family activities at the reception.

Easy walk to the castle where there are good shops, restaurants etc. Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean and very good value.

No English speaking news TV (e.g. CNN or BBC World Service) would expect this in view of multi-national guests. Breakfast was a bit "open" with others touching food etc. would prefer e.g. individual bread rolls rather than everyone using same loaf!

Not used to such tiny hotel rooms and probably never will get used to it - it's like staying in my closet at home. But that aside, IBIS was clean NO SIGN OF BEDBUGS anywhere and the staff was great!

Our meal was not great. Steak was tough and I couldn't eat it (we were exhausted so opted to just stay in and eat - not a great idea).

The hotel was very well located near the medieval town. There is a parking availlable at the hotel. The room had a good space, the beds were conforfable and the bathroom was very large for Ibis' standards. The sfaff was very polite.

Overall the room was clean. However, we found two points that let us very uncomfortable: one towel was not clean and we had to request for another/ the shower also had a cleaning problem: there was a hair stucked in the part where the water comes out and we had to clean it in order to use it.

The room was comfortable and clean, the kids loved the bunkbed. The breakfast was very good. The staff was nice. The best feature of the hotel that it is really close to the castle it is, it is a two minutes walk to get there.

On Sunday evening the restaurant was not open at the hotel. There are plenty of places to eat in the castle though.

I chose Ibis styles la Cité Hotel by mistake, I thought I booked the one near the Old Bridge, but this was the best mistake I've ever made. The environment is fantastic, it's very quiet, I had the best sleep I could have. Rooms not too large but ok, and very clean. Bathroom v.good, shower works fantastic. But the best thing here is the Garden and the pool with sunbeds and sun-umbrellas where you can chill in the heats of summer ,what we just experience. Breakfast was good, just what you need. And also hotel is v.close to the main attraction of Carcassonne, which is Old City with the castle, easy walkable. There is also bus stop for the airport around and local buses "2" stop which takes you either to the shopping area or to the Lake de la Cavayère. I would book again if I come again. I was solo traveler but for families with kids excellent choice.

Nothing really to mention, maybe the only thing was bedside table light, which was not working and I mentioned to reception if they can change the bulb, but that not happened during my three days. But I managed without.

The location was good for our short stay. The pool area looked nice though the weather wasn’t good enough for us to use it.

The room was very bare and stripped of much furniture or pictures. The bathroom was a wet room so we had to be careful not to flood everywhere. No cups/glasses in the room- when we asked downstairs, we were told brusquely they don’t provide them as they’re trying to be eco-friendly. Then they provided us with two plastic cups- and we were told to bring them back on check-out and they made a note of our names!

Very close to La Cité de Carcassonne, clean, comfortable bed, lots of light (we had the corner room normally reserved for wheelchair access. As I was told to avoid Ibis hotel chain in France, stay at ibis Styles Carcassonne La Cité exceeded my expectations. Very good location (about a dozen of minutes to reach the Castle on foot). Nice staff. Very convenient parking space for a car. Good enough breakfast. Big advantage was the swimming pool to refresh after long walking in the La Cité during hot summer days.

The room was a bit tinny for four. During peak breakfast time some food was gone quick and for the staff it took some time to resupply. The hotel restaurant could be better.

The staff was very kind to us and went out of their way to help us. Room was perfectly adequate for it's purpose, clean and well-equipped with extra pilows, etc. Breakfast was ample and varied. The location was excellent for exploring Carcassonne.

Heat is controlled centrally and could have been a bit warmer. They turned it up immediately when asked though.

The vibe of the place was nice. The room was comfortable and spacious, and seemed very clean. The old medieval city is about 15 mins away, walking. Breakfast was included, and it was handy to have it there.

Very friendly reception stall. Easy check in. Funky decor (in a good way). Carcassonne is a quaint and interesting town - it is definitely work spending a bit of time there.
