Exceptional view of the sea from the
dedicated bedrooms and the breakfast room. All the staff was super friendly and polite and making us feel really welcome. Breakfast buffet was really good (pancakes and smoked salmon thank you!!) and super clean : gel and gloves compulsory.
I did not like the wake up call around 5am from the bin lorries, both mornings, just under the hotel windows (glass recycling at 5am, honestly?)
Also considering how nice the hotel is, it was unpleasant to find coffee stains on the curtain and lampshade on the desk, these should be replaced or cleaned.
Despite this, you can’t beat the breathtaking view.

The hotel location is great, just in front of the beach, it's really worth to have a balcony there to profit the view and sunsets. The cleaning service was good. The room was basic but had everything what we needed.
The room AC wasn't working properly. We got sick eventually... The room without balcony is very small, it is difficult to move there, the bathroom is even claustrophobic. We have been in many french hotels where the food exceeded our expectations but here the breakfast was a total disappointment: no veggies, no fresh fruit (a canned mix only), no water (only on the last day of our stay).

Hotel Splendid was in a beautiful spot on the beach with an awesome balcony view. It was surrounded by amazing restaurants & shopping and was a very short walk to the canal port. Very clean and super comfy rooms, and super helpful staff.

Moderate value for money. Fair deal.
The glass doors didn't close properly and at the reception they refused to change the room. Hopefully after they decided to repair them. So we agreed to stay.
Check out is 10:30 the latest. That is too early for travellers with kids if you need to pack bags in the morning.
