Great location and beautiful Art Deco design.Close to central Lille and 10-15 minute walk from train stations. Room was a great size for two of us. Beds and pillows were comfy. Clean room with enough towels. Breakfast was reasonably good, with hot and cold food. Terrace bar was cosy and relaxing. Had water fountain on each of the landings for free fill up which was appreciated.

Our room was great. Directly overlooked the main square. Bathroom functioned well, but absolutely no soundproofing so don’t be shy. Kettle. Only one English teabag sadly, the other three herbal.

Breakfast was disappointing. Minimal quantities of bread, pre cut into tiny pieces. Scrambled egg on warmer completely ruined for us by having chives cooked into it (why?? because whoever prepares it likes chives himself?). Small bowl of cut fruit pieces, mainly apple, swimming in juice suggesting possibly tinned. Not a piece of actual fruit in sight. Tiny unimpressive croissants in modest numbers (the sort of place you have to pick up one for your partner as well as unlikely to be any left when he goes up). Bowl of yogurt in quantity my small family at home would find inadequate for a breakfast. We struggled to make a decent meal. For 18E this was a poor return. Overall felt extremely modest buffet with rather a mean spirit. Would probably return to hotel but wouldn’t have breakfast there, many many options immediately available nearby. The main reception area was clearly having a drains issue. Quite unpleasant smell to walk through. Friendly welcoming receptionist

Fantastic mezzanine room with loads of space. Great shower. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is beautiful, sympathetically restored and in a great location to explore Lille. They kindly kept our luggage before our train. Would very highly recommend.

Excellent location. Ideal for walks in the old town and commercial areas. Nice renovated building and spacious well decorated room. Nice hotel ambiance. We missed our breakfast on Sunday (please consider longer serving time during the weekend) and it was happily deducted from our bill.

There was a persisting subtle sewerage smell at the reception area throughout our stay. Not nice for a first impression but the rest of our stay compensated the issue. I am sure management is aware. The replenishment of supplies (both food and equipment) during breakfast could be more timely. However, staff were helpful and speedy in bringing whatever we asked.

Beautiful old building full of style. Lovely decor. Our room overlooked the square which was fabulous. Comfortable bed and pillows. Coffee machine and biscuits was an added bonus. We also loved the roof top bar. All of the staff were excellent. Perfect location too in the old town amongst plenty of bars, restaurants and shops.

The location was great , very central and only 10 mins walk from the station.The room was ok .The safe did not work and when I mentioned this to the receptionist I was told it couldn't be fixed . I was also told there were no available extra pillows in the whole of the hotel. I persisted and did eventually get one .An old sock had been left behind the bedside table , not exactly well hidden and evaded the cleaners both days we were there .

One member of the front desk was particularly unhelpful.

The location is excellent and perfect for visiting all the sites as well as the nightlife. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The room was a good size with a nice bathroom (overlooking the square would have been even better I'm sure!). Breakfast is great and the rooftop bar was nice, even in March.

Being an old building the sound proofing wasn't great. We didn't have any significant issues but could certainly hear our neighbours and those above us pretty easily. Storage in the bedroom was a bit limited and one of the drawers had a broken handle which reduced access to storage further.

The AC was turned off, while it was about 23 degrees outside and so also it was 23 degrees inside. The AC was off because it wasn't a summer period, but then if it is so hot that the room just doesn't get cold at least provide a fan or something similar. This was compensated to us by the hotel in a good way but still we expected a bit more from a 4 star hotel.

Staff preferred to spend 15+ minutes loudly and vigorously discussing customer complaints (in front of all guests) instead of fixing the problem. Hotel was well located. Staff was nice and efficient. Bed was OK.

The hotel in general had known better days. At best, this was a 3 star hotel. Pillows were immensely uncomfortable (way to soft, zero support). Normally, in 4 stars hotel you get at least 1 viscoelastic pillow, that give good support and are comfortable to sleep in. Both pillows were equally old and bad. The carpet was old and stuffy. Decorations old and put together with zero taste. You could hardly fit your legs in the separate toilet. The bath had no hold-on to get in our out. Even though in theory you had controls for the heat air in the room, it did not work at all, and in the evening it was rather cold. But the heat would not turn on, no matter how high you put the temperature. Continental breakfast was poor. Dairy-free and gluten-free options almost non existent (even though I had warned them in advance). They had total lack of knowledge about how to present food to prevent cross-contaminations with known allergens (e.g., cheeses, next to cold cuts). They did not even know that most cold cuts are preserved with lactose or lactic acid. I could only have 1 cold cut (the Italian one, the only dairy free, gluten free). They could not make scrumbled eggs without butter, etc.

The good: Staff were kind and bilingual, location is excellent (5–15 min walk from everything), and the rooftop terrace is the star – amazing views and top-notch cocktails. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom / rooms are spacious for Europe.

The not-so-good: • Lobby smelled like a subtle sewer for three days and is not accessible to wheelchairs or prams (elevators are available to floors above the lobby.) • Mosquitoes galore – we had 5–7 in our room and were handed bug diffusers by day two. The windows were never opened… • Room had a blood-stained pillow and extremely thick dust on the chandelier and banisters which I discovered after attempting to swat at the mosquitos with a towel and caused a snow storm of dust • No fridge • Shower gel dispenser was empty • Carpet stain at the door looked… suspicious • Breakfast? Only the orange juice and yogurt stood out It might suit younger travellers, but for families or anyone expecting a clean, comfortable stay at this price – you’ll be disappointed. Wouldn’t pay more than €125/night.

The hotel's highlight is its location. The center of town is just around the corner. The hotel is maintained in the Belle Epoque style, but they don't overdo it. If they can't replace a light fixture appropriately, then they'll use something modern and understated. It's a good way to keep prices down for the There is a roof terrace bar overlooking the Grand' Place, which is perfect in warm weather.

There was very little that we didn't like. The room was quite small but had everything we needed. Temperature regulation was a little tricky, as the thermostat display was unresponsive.

Generous room size, truly did not except this much space for a standard room. Very clean. Courtyard view offered peace and quiet despite the hotel's central location. The location is amazing! Can get around Lille super easily from where it is. We were on our honeymoon and they had a free glass of champagne at their rooftop terrace which has an amazing view! The building is very cool and has a lot of character. The breakfast looked great but we were rushed so only could grab coffees to go. Our room was clean and the bathroom was large. We were very comfortable. Each floor has brita machines so there’s free cold water available which isn’t often the case. Amazing view of the city if you get a room with a balcony. Staff were available and super friendly - would stay there again for sure!

No parking on site but literally a 2 minute drive away is a public lot for 30 euro for 24hrs.

Location was very good. Room had a wonderful view and was an adequate size. Bathroom was well appointed and finished. Buffet breakfast was good.

The room wasn't quite as good as it looked in the picture. Of some concern was that the entrance door to the room had large gaps and was not fire safe. Could also hear voices from the room next door (not sure if this was TV or people voices, but was loud enough to be intrusive). Dividing wall was therefore inadequately acoustically insulated.

I had a comfortable stay, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was enjoyable, with plenty of choice. The location was perfect, couldn't be bettered, and I am happy to recommend such a lovely, stylish, hotel.

The hotel is in a fantastic location near the old town of Lille. The room was comfortable with a good bed, and a clean and modern bathroom, with a good shower. The staff on the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. The rooftop bar with city views was great.

I think that some of the common areas (eg, landings, hallways, stairwells), and possibly the bedrooms, are in need of a cosmetic upgrade (eg new new carpets, painting, artwork, and some new furniture). This could really elevate the look and feel of the hotel. I still very much enjoyed staying here nonetheless.

The location was great and the staff were very nice.

It was SO LOUD. We were on the third floor and could hear the noise from the street as well as the hotel rooftop bar. Our neighbors were partying late, 2am. I mentioned this to the front desk and was told that they were sorry.

I've never had worse sleep in my life. The room was incredibly stuffy - there was no air conditioning as we were told they were not turning it on yet. Normally this is fine, but our room was at the top floor and looked out onto an internal stairwell - so there was no breeze and the windows were tied together and barely opened. But the biggest problem was the room then became infested with mosquitoes, so I was overheating and being bitten constantly. We woke up covered in bites and had to kill roughly 10-15 throughout each night. By the time we got out of bed each morning there was still another 10 flying around. It was exhausting and really upsetting. I took the quilt out of the cover to try cool down, as I needed to stay as covered as possible to avoid the bites, but was far too hot to close the window. We didn't get a single hour of sleep. I'm guessing we just drew the short straw on rooms, as we had to take two different elevators to get to our room, the water filter on our level didn't work our entire stay, and we obviously had no view - this is fine, we booked the classic, and I get sometimes the short straw happens. But incredibly disappointed that my holiday was ruined by zero sleep and being covered in bites and welts, it was a really uncomfortable stay and I feel a bit ripped off. It's not the staffs fault at all and they were lovely, but maybe that room shouldn't be available while the air con isn't an option.

Location is suburb! You are right in the city centre. Spacious room. And king sized bed, which could easily fit 2 adults and toddler. Nespresso coffee machine, providing normal and decaf and 2 kinds of tea flavors. Bath and shower separately. Close to parking garage (free parking after 17h)

Cleanliness; we found hairs on the bed and bathroom. Toilet is separate from the bathroom = great, however no sink. So have to go to bathroom. Shower spray is incredibly weak, thus have to shower in the bath. Slippers and amenities should be asked at reception. Room was incredibly spacious, but no extra chairs... There is only 1 lift. Housekeeping are using the same lift to get to floors, thus long waiting.
