Comfy beds, nice shower room with toilet, couldn't be better access to the Gare de Flandres as it was directly opposite, a few minutes' walk from the Flixbus stop and Eurostar station. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby, including supermarkets and bakeries for a quick snack or journey provisions. Friendly, helpful staff.
I was only staying overnight on my way from Berlin to London, so I didn't get to see much of Lille.
Some people may be bothered by a certain amount of noise coming from the street at night. It didn't keep me awake though.

Great value for money, excellent location particularly for Eurostar.
Very helpful reception team prior to arrival and also once we arrived. Allowed to move to a room at the back where likely to be quieter, however, the front rooms did have good soundproofing.
Rooms are basic, but comfortable and functional.
Not much; shower leaked a bit onto surrounding floor but not really an issue, bath mat dealt with that.
The steps up to reception are not a problem unless you have massive suitcases, there is a lift up to the rooms from reception.

Given all the negativity in some of the reviews, I confess I wasn't expecting much. But it's a hotel in a narrow, old building close to busy Lille-Flandres. So there are going to be limitations.
But -
The rooms are clean and look freshly painted
The bathrooms are very good, particularly the quite large shower
The bed was very comfortable
Regardless of some reviews on here, the Internet worked very well during my stay
The location is excellent for sightseeing and onward travel and restaurants
The staff are very friendly and helpful
Despite the noise, I actually enjoyed the view of the station forecourt.
The lift is claustrophobically small but there probably isn't space for anything bigger

It was only an overnight stay so perfectly adequate for this purpose. I didnt honestly have the chance to assess much, except the staff were friendly. It was only at the time of leaving (before 7 with coffee just on) that I even realised there was a breakfast room. Dont know if I had paid anyway.
It's a tall and pretty cramped Paris style urban hotel. You have to accept that's fine for short stays anyway.

It's a 2-star place, so my expectations were not high. It's location was perfect for me.... immediately opposite the station, with lots of shops (esp eateries) adjacent. Staff member carried my heavy case down the 25 steep steps between ground level and reception. Pleasant little breakfast room.
Lack of honest declaration of the 25 steep and narrow steps up to reception... and then the lift. '3 persons'... no. Only one person.

The hotel is very central - ideal for my trip as I was only staying for a night to continue my journey. I came via Eurostar and the train station Lille-Europe is just a straight 10 minute walk away to the hotel. As I continued further via Lille Flandres, the location was ideal as the hotel is located opposite the train station . The desk personnel was very polite and helpful.
Sadly you have to climb a very steep staircase to the recreation. Not good with heavy luggage, but the desk personnel helped with that.
And unfortunately WiFi wasn’t working.

Everything else was sub par. In summary you get what you pay for. This is only decent as a overnight stay, anything longer and I suggest you find somewhere else. There is an initial flight of stairs to get to the lift. Thankfully the lift worked on my stay, but its a very old fashioned one. If you suffer with claustrophobia, then good luck.
