My room's air conditioning was not operating to my liking. It stayed pretty warm and toasty when I wanted it to be a little cooler. And no matter what I changed the temperature to it would just stay super warm in the room. The minibar in my room was also malfunctioning. The light flickered on and off all night and it would not cool the drinks to my liking. The drinks always seemed a little warm whenever I took them out of the fridge. There wasn't many options for breakfast in my opinion. I didn't really see much of a variety.

The air condition in the room did not work properly. The breakfast was very poor comparing to its price. There was not a proper coffee machine, only one working with espresso and ristretto capsules. If I wanted to drink a capuccino or caffe normal, I had to buy it from the bar. On the first day, during the breakfast, when I and my wife stood up and went to get a coffee 10 minutes before the end of the breakfast time, the lady who served the tables grabed the jacket of my wife, came behind us and told us very rudely that we had to leave although there were still some people eating! Totally unacceptable!

I really liked that I was given early check-in with free charges with nice view. There were included the bathrobe with slippers, mini-bar with some water, juices and coffee. I have enjoyed the breakfast, which it was delicious. Breakfast has everything you need. There is welcome juice on the lobby, which is very good during this hot weather.
I could recommend to the staff to be more kindly and greet the guests as at home, to smile, because even they do not tell the short Bonjour, they're all serious faces. At the reception always nobody, I had to wait. The staff did not have the Badges. I did not like the service at the reception totally. I told them that I had birthday at the day of my arrival, but even they did not say anything, didn't congratulate me.
At the restaurant I had to find a table myself. They did not escort guests to the table. It was only one waitress, who assisted the guests. The omelet ran out and I had to wait for a new one to be brought in, the staff doesn't keep track of what ran out and what needs to be replaced. I totally did not like the service at the restaurant. The man at the desk, who checked the guests for coming for the breakfast talked very loudly.
If you are travelling for vacation I could recommend to book another hotel. Novotel is just for one night stay no longer.

Garage is small and full, at least that's what staff told us. We were instructed to park at a nearby private garage, but due to the height of the car we couldn't get in so we had to remove the rooftop cargo box outside of the garage, park the car and then re-install the box full of luggage. That all with an infant and for one single night! When we complained to the same guy at the reception, he changed his mind and said that we can, in fact, park in the hotel garage. We went there and the garage was half-empty!! There were at least 6 spots available (unmarked). I felt like a 3rd class guest. Next time I will skip this hotel; better to pay more elsewhere and avoid this inconvenience.

It was an excellent stay at this Novotel. The location was great to explore the city. The morning market in front of the hotel was a very nice add-on to start the day. The staff was exceptional helpful - supported with getting the car securely parked and were available for all questions. And last but not least the staff at the restaurant during breakfast were very welcoming with their happiness and good mood - making the start into the day very easy :-)
