The bathroom was dated and dirty in the corners. The bath sealant was old and stained. The toilet was poorly positioned directly in front of a wall mounted heater so that a tall person has to sit on it sideways. The kitchenette cupboard doors were old and discoloured.

This place was so different from most that we've stayed at that I took notes, so this review isn't based on faulty memory. English was spoken at the reception. There is a lift. The hotel is in a narrow, busy street but to check in we were able to park in a pedestrian area outside the front door.
As someone said, the hotel is under a flight path, but that depends on the wind direction. We had one day with planes, one day without. Our room was small, with a small bathroom. The room door was difficult to close - slamming it was the most effective method. But it's the parking that is most memorable. The reception team provided a group of very clear photos of the method. We retraced our route to the first intersection and turned right into a narrow street. Then we turned right into a narrow one way street, with parking on one side and metal pillars to prevent pedestrians from being run over on the other. Turn right at the next corner and the street was wider. We saw a doorway like the one in the photo, pressed the clicker provided from reception and the gate opened. In we went and used the clicker to open several other doors to the hotel parking as we drove further down. Finally we entered the hotel parking, which seemed to be quite small. It turned out that it seemed small because it was small. Not only were the parking spaces narrow, the hotel parking area is shared with a medical business. We were lucky to be able to share a site with a medical vehicle that was small.

The location is very good for accessing the centre of Nantes
Unfortunately, the second bedroom was not big enough. With two beds in the room, the door could not be opened / closed! Also the door latch was broken and it would not shut - it would rattle in the breeze. Although we drew this to the receptionist's attention on two separate occasions, the problem was not fixed.

We got a nice, comfortable basic aparthotel suite with two bedrooms (one double, one twin) and a sofabed. Was really spacious, well-maintained and comfortable. Great location, too - less than ten minutes walk from the train station.
There are cleaning supplies in the room, as there's a kitchenette, but it would have been nice to have a few more - maybe a broom? A spare toilet roll in the room would have been handy as well, though I was able to get one from reception.

I absolutely loved everything about this hotel. The location is perfect - just a 5-minute walk to key sights like the Château des Ducs de Bretagne and Nantes Cathedral, and about 10 minutes to the Commerce tram station, which makes it easy to get around the city.
For example:
Les Machines de l’Île is just 10 minutes away by tram,
Trentemoult can be reached in 30–40 minutes via tram and then by river bus from Gare Maritime.
There’s a Carrefour City just 3 minutes away, which is super convenient. And right downstairs, you can grab a coffee and a delicious pastry at Les Triplettes, no need to go far for a great breakfast.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well-equipped - I was pleasantly surprised to find a small dishwasher!
This was my first time visiting Nantes, and I’ll definitely be coming back, and staying at this hotel again. Highly recommended.
