You wish every hotel you visit would be like this! If I could give it 10 stars I would! Warm and caring welcome, attentive and friendly staff, and cyclist friendly. All the people who work at this hotel are creating the best hospitable experience for you. Long live the Hotel Opera Voltaire! Also, the location is "formidable"!

The hotel is well situated and well maintained. The room wasn't big but comfortable. The bed and pillows were okay.
The staff was excellent they offered us a present on the way out to try compensate themself which is regarding
We spent 3 nights and both of them there was an awful smell from the sink in the bathroom. We had to sleep on open window during the night. We didn't inform the staff cuz it was written on the door that the hotel is fully booked. On the next day they offered us to change rooms but we had to pack and unpack everything for couple of hours so we skipped it.

The room was comfortable, the bed,the bathroom and the tv were all well functioning. Being able to open the French windows was lovely. The location was great for walking the city and assessing the tram.
The steps up to the foyer area, the dark decor were imposing. The tiny lift and narrow corridor to my room were a bit off putting on arrival.

Good location to walk directly into city center. Friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast. Nice safe bicycle storage
Small room and bathroom, no airco and due to street noise not nice to open window. Fan compensates a little bit for missing airco

The location is amazing. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Quiet but central
There were only two things I didn’t like. First, the room was too hot and there was no air conditioning. Thankfully, a fan was provided, which helped a lot. Second, the power sockets near the bed didn’t work, which was quite inconvenient.

Really lovely hotel. Comfortable and clean, with very nice decor. Hotel staff were exceptional: friendly and helpful at all times. The location is ideal. Excellent breakfast, as well. We would absolutely stay here again.
We just happened to stay on a humid night, so it was a little hot in the room, though the hotel proactively reached out in advance to remind customers we'd booked a hotel without air conditioning. The addition of an electric fan was appreciated. Once it cooled a bit outside we opened windows. Between that and the fan we managed to sleep comfortably.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Happy to suggest places to visit and provided a map.
Room was very comfortable, although the heat made it harder to sleep. Hotel provided a fan which was much appreciated.
Breakfast was excellent and included a good selection of local produce.
Nice little lounge for a quiet and slightly cooler seat.
Great location. Quiet, but easy access to a super variety of shops and restaurants as well as a 5 minute walk to the tramline.
Really enjoyed our two short stays in this quirky but stylish little hotel. One of our favourites, without a doubt.
We suffered a bit from the lack of air conditioning as it was so hot during our stay. Would that stop us going again? Definitely not. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Voltaire Opera in Nantes.

This is our second time staying as we liked it so much the first time. Location is great . Staff are very helpful. It is such a nice boutique hotel. Breakfast is very good.
In the room we were in there was substantial mold on the blinds and windows in the bathroom. It was a bit off putting. Also needed a bit better vacuuming of the floor around the head of the bed.
