The view from the room was much much nicer than we expected. The room was clean. The personnel were very kind and very helpful. It was nice to be able to use the room even before check-in time. The room was really sound-proof. Despite much traffic and even construction outside, it was really quiet. The hotel itself is very beautiful, with different areas in the lobby that make it comfortable to be inside during a rainy day. The breakfast looked delicious, although I didn't try it. The location of the hotel is perfect.
The room was a bit smaller than I thought it would be and some things needed refurbishing. The closet sliding door didn't slide properly and made it hard to open and close. The fixtures in the bathroom (toilet paper holder) were a bit broken. The bed mattress felt old and too soft. It was too small for my teen daughter and me even if we're not large people. My adult son and his daughter stayed in a different room for the same price and his room was much larger, with a larger bed, nicer bathroom and in overall a much better condition, although my view was nicer!

The location was exceptional. I had booked a superior room overlooking the sea, and it was spectacular. Quite small it was beautifully laid out.
Inconsistency. Housekeeping, one day at 4 oβclock in the next day at 10:30. we dined in the hotel that I need room in the evening. Service was wonderful. I had the lamb shank, and it was very bland. Tasted like it had just come out of the microwave. I felt it was also very strange that the vanity in the bathroom with only 2 feet off the floor.

It is the best location in town, in the central part of the Promenade des Angles. Breakfasts were excellent. Staff friendly and usually very helpful. Overall, loved staying in the hotel.
The room was very dated. Of course it is an old building with a long tradition, but it would have been helpful to have more electrical outlets. In our room you could either have a TV plugged in or a desk lamp, but not both. A very deep bathtub, somewhat difficult to step out of. No exhaust fan in the bathroom, so everything steams up during a shower.

We had a wonderful stay at the West End Hotel, which - even though it wasn't our first time staying there - managed to exceed our expectations once again. The reception, service, breakfast and facilities were all great, and the final touch of the experience was delivered by Mr. Silvio with the concierge services, who arranged a transfer from and till the airport and helped us with reservations at a really nice restaurant in the evening. We will definitely be staying there again.
The water pressure wasn't that great on the fourth floor, which made showering a bit troublesome - but manageable after all.

The location is great, and one of the employees, Silvio, is very helpful. The breakfast is also good.
When I checked in, I was assigned a different roomβa double roomβdespite having reserved and paid for a triple room with stairs. After discussing the issue with Silvio, they eventually moved us to the correct triple room that I had booked, which had cost a significant amount of money.
This type of issue has never occurred when I booked through Booking.com; I typically receive exactly what I pay for. It was frustrating to feel as though they were trying to downgrade my room.
Additionally, we attempted to dine at the Spiegel restaurant twice, but a rude, middle-aged server turned us away, even though there were plenty of empty tables and other guests being seated. We had already spent over $2,000 on our accommodation, and it felt like we were being cheated. While an older server tried to assist us, the middle-aged server with black hair refused to accommodate our request. I have never experienced such poor behavior before, so we decided to dine at Negresco instead, which turned out to be a much better experience.
Furthermore, the housekeeping staff did not vacuum the carpet when cleaning our room and left a dirty towel in the bathtub. However, Tamiko at the front desk and Silvio were very nice. The breakfast was great, and the staff were attentive. I believe the person who checked us in and assigned us the wrong room should be let go.

We were welcomed by a very kind receptionist (I do unfortunately not remember her name) at check-in. She arranged for us to get our room early (at 10:30) which definitely added to the comfort during our stay.
The shower was within the bathtub, which had a very slippery surface - should be treated somehow to make it safer.

the floor we were located on appeared different (white doors?) our room was large and could accommodate an extra bed, but very spare and everything white. a carpet should be added to avoid slippery tiles from wet feet. noises heard from adjoining rooms- maybe from families or large groups. also suggest a second second luggage rack for 2 people. important question - why the window into the bathroom? issue with privacy and also night use exposed entire room to lights.

Expensive for a family room, especially considering the area for our 17 year old was a room that seemed to be for a small helper in the past, next to the bathroom. The beach is all stone and the beach club rented chairs for β¬30 pr chair. No discount negotiated by the hotel right across the road. With the cost per night, that should be included.

Good location. The beach in front of the hotel is full of rocks and you have to pay for sunbeds, which I find unacceptable. That's all.
Unfortunately we booked a room on Booking.com, a triple room for 3 adults, a duplex, but when we arrived at the hotel they offered us another room after several discussions. Initially they offered a room for 2 adults and a small room with 2 bunk beds for our 20 year old son (it was like we were on a ship!), the room booked on Booking.com being told upon arrival that it was only available on the last day of our stay at this hotel. After we insisted they "offered" another room, as if they are being us a favor, with a small bedroom and a kind of living room with a sofa bed for the son, as if it was a room for 3 adults. The walls between the adjoining rooms were made of plasterboard, so you could hear perfectly what the neighbors in the adjoining rooms were saying, and if you tripped and fell on the plasterboard wall, there was every chance you would reach the neighbors in the adjoining room. For a 4-star hotel, this is embarrassing. Dividing the larger rooms to get more rooms, respectively a bigger profit, I understand, but at least these divisions should be done properly. We barely had room to put our clothes, 2 closets for 3 adults. The toilet was a small room where you could barely enter. For a 4-star hotel, we were surprised that the restaurant was open until 11 p.m. at most. At breakfast, if you wanted fried eggs you had to pay, as they were not included in the "breakfast offer", which has never happened to us at other 4-star hotels. For what we received compared to what we booked, we should have received a considerable difference.

The location is good, within walking distance to the old town.
The room and bathroom are both very compact, which feels restrictive and uncomfortable during the stay. After placing the luggage, thereβs hardly any space to move around. Similarly, in the bathroom, the doorβs width spans from the entrance to the bathtub, requiring you to close it before accessing the washbasin.

Fantastic location next to Hotel Negresco. Very nice and supportive staff. Very good breakfast in a nice venue. Easy to park your car in public garage.
Basically nothing, but the hotel was built hundred years ago and even if it has been refurbished, you have to keep this in mind.

Beautiful elegant hotel with an antique style. Restaurant is amazing. Right across the promenade access to the beach, private and public.
Bathtub was great but very high. It would be hard for older folks to get in and out.

The staff were exceptional. They were very friendly and accommodating. Helped me with my luggage without asking. Offered any assistance whether it was booking a ride to the airport, printing out train tickets, offering a floor to accommodate my using the stairs, and always with a friendly smile and a kind greeting.
The first room I stayed in was great. It even had a mirror to view the Sea. This particular room, the door needed to be pulled closed. I accidentally left it open the first time. I could not locate a safe in the room. The view was that of an air conditioning unit, but these are small issues. The room offered what I needed, a comfortable bed to sleep in, a clean bathroom for showering, with a very convenient place to charge my phone.

The view from the room, good location (20 min walk to Old Town)
We arrived at around 9pm. I took the extra step to message the hotel and let them know we were arriving late. I had also let them know in advance this was a special, once in a lifetime stay to celebrate my husbandβs birthday. When we got there, the two receptionists just watched us both drag our suitcases through the multiple stairs. They didnβt even attempt to help. There was no acknowledgment whatsoever of my husbandβs birthday. We got to the room (again, without a single offer to help with the bags) and the room was MOLDY. Yes, there was black mold in the shower walls and shower curtains. The closet door was super stuck, incredibly difficult to open and close. Only one βall in oneβ type of soap to serve as shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The mattress was super old and we both woke up with back pain. The next morning I went to the front desk to ask for assistance with activities for the day, and all they did was point at the wall of brochures. THAT WAS IT.
The fact that the hotel has absolutely no amenities and the WiFi is unusable is honestly, a minor detail at this point. We spent $700 per night , for 3 nights. THIS WAS NOT A FOUR STAR EXPERIENCE at all. We left immensely disappointed. I mentioned all this at check out and all they said is that I should have mentioned it earlier and they would have given us βa bottleβ. WTF?! All they did was comp the 22 euros we spent on breakfast. In short, the good reviews of this hotel are either old or all about the view and the location. DO NOT STAY HERE, it is not a 4 star hotel. We got a value of MAYBE a $60 a night cheap motel. An absolute embarrassment. I was going to take pictures of the moldy shower but I donβt want my phone to remind me of that next year along with pictures of our holiday.

Had to ask 4 times for an anti slip Matt. My husband almost fell into tub and hurt his foot . I was slipping in and out also. When we ck in they said they would get us one. Never happened for days. We went with friends booked together were on different floors . Paid the same they had a balcony to sit on we didnβt .for 2000.00 plus I expected more

Landmark location for beachfront travelers. The exquisite nostalgia interior theme with a renovated contemporary room interior yielding fresh look for a right price. Love the room with balcony for a spectacular long Riviera sand beach view. The fine dining is not too pricey but food is great presented by a great chef. Love West End accommodation

The back side view of our rooms. We were not lucky enough in getting a front view rooms, while our back side view was accompanied by a noisy AC chiller which was located under our rooms. Maybe next time β¦

We stayed 3 nights. At first, we were given a very small room with no view, limited storage, and no outlets near the bed. However, the staff was incredibly helpful and offered us several good alternatives at the same rate. We chose to upgrade to a larger room with an amazing sea viewβit completely changed our experience. The new room was quiet, spacious, and the hotelβs location on the Promenade des Anglais was perfect, close to everything and with fantastic views of the beach.
A mixed start, but thanks to the helpful staff and beautiful sea-view room, our stay turned out to be a great experience.
There were no outlets in the bathroom, so I couldnβt use my own hair tools, and the hotelβs hairdryer was not very effective. Also, there was no hand soap in the bathroom.

We did not have breakfast there. We had 2 rooms on the 5th floor. One of the rooms was STILL not ready at 4pm. We arrived at 10:30am. When our friends finally occupied the room there was no air conditioning at all which we were made aware of and we were not happy, they bought us a drink in the bar, but when you are paying that kind of money for a small room, to us it wasn't worth the value. They should have given us other accommodations or offered complimentary breakfast for all of us.

Location & view were unbeatable. Really nice, better than expected. Also, room was larger and more comfortable than I thought. Liked that the shades were true blackout too. Hotel staff was friendly.
Room showed a balcony but it appears not all floors have balconies. Room had some broken items that should have been attended to. Staff was generally friendly but forgot to call a cab for our 4am trip to airport and tried to charge us $70 for the 2 borrowed outlet converters. Check the bill. Restaurant was ok but there are much better.

Perfect location, just in front of Promenade des Angles, ideal for long evening/night walk enjoying the sea breeze and 'street lights/music' at the same time. Walking distance to the Nice-Ville rail station for half-day trips (25 minutes east and you enjoy views of marina in Monaco, 35 minutes west brings you to downtown Cannes). Quick access to Nice airport.
Room with a sea view was perfect during the day with plenty of calming blue from the water and the sky and during the night with the lights of the Promenade.
Hotel Restaurant "La Siecle" had very good menu with very visual (and tasty) Le Flambeur ChΓ’teaubriand - very good food, nice seating (both outside and inside), very friendly and professional service - gentlemen managing the floor for sure knows and loves his job - he was attending to guests (welcoming and seating them), explaining and serving food, making everyone feel welcome - all with a smile and "French vibe". Live music in this restaurant on Tuesday nights was a perfect addition.
Very good breakfast - it got us going for many hours, which is useful if you plan local trips.
Hard to find something on 'what could be better' side. Elevator was a bit small, but it comes with the historic building.
Well, "what didn't you like" didn't apply much to our stay.

I loved the staff and they made me feel very welcome. I also had an amazing view of the ocean and promenade.
I would recommend getting the breakfast. Itβs a full buffet and the croissants were amazing!
It did not appear that the glass door to the balcony had a lock which was a bit of a concern. However the area felt very safe and I was on the 6th floor.

The only thing I had an issue with was the request to have twin beds. We replaced in a room with a king bed, although it had the capacity of being split into two twins. However, even upon asking housekeeping and front desk, personnel twice, the separation was never made. I wouldβve been happy to do it myself, however, there werenβt any twin sheets available to replace the one king size fitted sheet.

The Location was excellent - On the "Promenade des Anglais" with a gorgeous view of the bay of Nice.
Breakfast - Very good selection of breakfast items. Very helpful staff.
Hotel Staff - Extremely polite and helpful - and there were many of them!
The Room was fine but a bit quirky - I don't understand the need for a window on the bathroom wall!!
The Hotel Furniture looked a bit "tired" although functional and well maintained.

Great location. Very clean. Cute, old school building and decor, but very nice and right across from the beach.
The front desk staff wasn't very helpful. They didn't know anything about local transportation and kind of looked at me funny when I asked for dinner recommendations. Also, our hairdryer and our phone didn't work. But they made it right, and got it fixed within the day.
