We truly loved our time at Residence des Artes. From the moment we saw the room we felt like it was the perfect place to stay in Paris. The decor and comfort of the suite could not have been better, and the location was perfect. One block from the St. Michael Metro and RER made our airport connection very easy and all our Metro excursions a snap.
The recommendations for restaurants were very helpful, and so many were within 1-2 blocks. I’m sure it will be even better when renovations on the bistro are complete. We love the history and stories involved with the street and the buildings (Henry IV and Gabriella D’Estrees) Our only point of concern for people considering this hotel is that it would not work for people with limited mobility. There is a very tiny elevator ( as in many Parisian buildings) but steps are required to get to it from any level.
We will definitely book here again if we are lucky enough to return to Paris.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, from the beginning to the end. The location is also great, in the heart of Paris' St. Germain district. Rooms are super clean and neat.
The hotel's restaurant downstairs is undergoing majot construction/ renovation. On weekdays, work starts at 07.30 and it is literaly impossible to have a rest and peaceful stay. To top this, the restaurant next door is also doing construction work. So, when one stops, the other one starts. There is simply no way to avoid the noise. The fact that the restaurant is under construction also means no real breakfast. Hotel is trying its best to serve croissant and some cold serving at the lobby of the sister hotel across the street, but it is not the same. Unfortunately, all in all, it felt like staying at a construction site. If we had known that this was the situation, we would have neither booked our stay nor added breakfast to our reservation.

I have stayed at Residence 5 times last 15 yrs. I found it walking by and spoke to guests who loved the suites. I am handicapped now and can walk with walker so I need hotel with everything nearby. Your car service is VERY important as i cannot manage luggage alone. Your driver on may 22 to CDG
actually parked and found trolley to get our luggage to correct check In desk and insured I would have wheelchair to plane gate as I requested but often is missing. We appreciated him so much and happy to reward him well. I can still manage some travel but was not sure about Paris and trains and planes and luggage, but you made Paris travel possible again. I plan to come twice a year now with a friend or daughter. And for as long as I can. I owned a Maison de village in Languedoc for 14 years but had to sell it 12 yrs ago due to my health and mobility. This was my first trip back to France because of cruise which I thought would be easy. I cried when I left your hotel and car because I had the Pais experience again. I look forward to your new hotels and hope you will make them easy for older travelers. But your St Andre location will be difficult to improve upon. Again a huge thank you to your whole staff. Location is excellent -five minutes walk from Notre Dame and the staff are all super polite,helpful and friendly.
The facilities are all there but are a little worn and due for replacement. Especially the aircon which looks like it is 30 years old and barely effective. Fortunately the weather was not too hot during our stay, so not too much of an issue this time around. But we are used to well air conditioned homes and would worry we might not be able to sleep well in hotter weather.

The location and staff were amazing! Our stay was one week prior to the Olympic opening ceremony so there were many road blocks and checkpoints to navigate- they were very accommodating and our drivers were great! Minutes walk to lively cafes, the Seine, Notre Dame, the Metro. And very important - air conditioned!
The dining area was under construction so we had to walk through that area to get to our room. There was also no elevator (or it was also under construction) which was not preferred by my 72yo mother.

Property location was excellent, very central and easy walking distance to many historic areas.
I felt that the photos on the web site were far nicer than the condition of the actual room. Also there was the regular smell of cigarette smoke, and the elevator was practically only big enough for two people and was 4 feet by 18 inches wide, very small. The air conditioning was ancient and in a state of considerable wear and tare.
I do understand that the property is being renovated, it certainly needs this.

The location is good in St German which is a very lively area and it is near to major attractions. Breakfast was good served in a nice room which unfortunately was too small at times to accommodate residents of our hotel and the one opposite.
Our room was on the second floor immediately above one restaurant and directly opposite another. There was significant noise (at closing time?) most likely from the one opposite. There was also noise from passers by around 2am. The stairs were a very tight spiral which needed great care to walk down, while the lift was a bad joke which we could barely fit in. There was construction work in the entrance when we arrived which we were informed would only be for that day, but it carried on all three days we were there. We felt like intruders each time we went in or out. The safe in the room was at floor level in a cupboard in which there was no illumination due to the room lighting being very dull. We had to prop up a phone against the door frame to allow the torch to let us see what we were doing.

The location was fantastic, so close to Notre Dame, The Seine, and the Latin Quarter. Everything was so easy to get to and you are close to a metro station where we travelled back to Gard du Nord. Good restaurants nearby and the hotel kindly supplied a list covering Paris. The apartment itself was a junior suite with a comfy bed and fantastic shower. The handy kitchenette was a good bonus and having a small sitting room to rest was an advantage. It is an old building with spiral staircase so big cases would be a challenge.
A light in the wardrobe! Otherwise everything was perfect although husband did complain about music from surrounding bars, it didn't bother me as I wear earplugs

Loved this hotel. We had a Junior Suite, which was a large bedroom with king bed, wardrobe, desk and chair, etc., and another room with a sofa, chest, TV, etc., large bathroom and a small kitchen. This room had wooden ceiling beams and a lot of charm. Staff was very helpful and friendly, as was the cleaning lady. It's in a great location with lots of restaurants and shops very close by. 2. Windows and doors are not soundproof. Ee can clearly hear everything in the hallway and in the street below.
3. The bar next door was super loud until midnight. Garbage truck woke us up everyday at 6am.
4. There was no mini bar price list in our room, so we thought they were free. But then we were later charged for them.
5. Telephone has no cables. So whenever we wanted to talk to the front desk, we have to walk there. We asked 3 different people to fix it, but it was never fixed (we stayed for 5 nights).

Pictures on booking.com are NOT the property—that’s the other one across the street—-no lobby,
it’s under construction; thick dust everywhere, terrible stairs to tiny elevator—NO air conditioning even tho we paid for it—very expensive for the lack of service, tiny room and no A/C
Definitely would not recommend.

The property is an excellent area in Paris
We had many issues with the property. The front door of the property didn’t unlock one day even though it’s an electronic system. We had difficulties getting into a room and had to go across the street to speak with the manager in a different hotel to help us. Wasn’t a good experience.
