Had to move rooms as room was at top of the building with low ceiling/eaves and the air conditioning was a freestanding unit in the corner which had a vent like a tumble dryer blowing hot air into the room.

It was close to the city center, was quiet, and had parking . It also had an ‘up in the roof tops’ Mary Poppins feel looking out the window .
We were on the last leg of our travels and decided to stop earlier to sleep . The place has character and is clean. They provide some lovely amenities which we didn’t use , but could still appreciate .
There is a fitness room and hot tub - but our stay was short . And if we didn’t have to leave so early , we might have tried the breakfast. Staff was also very professional. In the end we were there for less than 12 hrs :)
In our room, you opened the door and had to walk up stairs to get to the bed.
If you have any walking concerns, that will be a problem because the toilet is down while the bed is up - and there are no lights to assist . I didn’t think to let them know because the pictures didn’t show the set up . But just something to note.

The negatives below also added charm and quirkiness, it was interesting to see how the whole hotel with modern fittings and facilities was incorporated inside a very old building.
It wasn't a problem for us, but our bedroom unexpectedly had several steep steps just inside the doors that we had to navigate with our suitcases. There was also a low beam over our bed.

Elevator panel stuck together with lots of tape;
TV had limited channels due to poor signal;
WiFi extremely bad, our room was on the fourth floor, we didn't know whether that was the reason (?)
Very hot under the roof, the air-conditioning really struggling just to keep it bearable.
Bed bugs in bed! We were both bitten badly.
We had one small bottle of water from the fridge and it cost 5 EUR (!) no complimentary water here!
Warning: Very difficult to locate the car park!

The rooms were not at all clean, the bedding had marks on it and the beds were incredibly soft and uncomfortable. The hotel management has clearly invested in the reception but not in the bedrooms. There seems to be little to no quality control of the cleaning (mould lots of places, corners not cleaned etc) and the bedrooms are significantly outdated and unhygienic. Not fit for purpose so avoid this hotel

Location bang in the middle of town, which sounds great but not so convenient if you are arriving by car as it is all pedestrianised. Underground car park is good but takes some finding. Best hotel breakfast I've had in France for a long time.
Needs a good upgrade. Reception, bar area fine (Didn't use restaurant, apart from breakfast), but rooms needs a proper refurb. Dirty soiled carpets, bathroom dated with shower/bath difficult to use (due to height of bath), 4* hotels really should have a walk in shower these days.

The woman at the front was very nice. The location is literally in the middle of everything. They are pet friendly.
Cramped, not clean and the poor woman in front checks you in, bartends, cleans the dining room. Etc. Capitalizing on the location as it’s in the literal center of everything - the hotel is clearly resting on its location laurels. Oh and when I note the lack of cleanliness - I mean it. Stained carpets, stained walls, moldy shower, the works. Pretty gross. Shame, because the city is very cool. Stay somewhere else though.

Location and breakfast were amazing, we had a really great stay enjoying the views of quirky rooftops, wandering the dark streets and sleeping in very comfortable bed. To awake to such a comprehensive and varied breakfast was the icing on the cake. Secure parking a reassuring addition.

The intermittent wi fi provision was poor, although we didn’t pursue this with the staff. It might have been fixable!
Slightly tired fixtures, carpet a bit past it’s sell by date. The longer we stayed the more we enjoyed the experience though.

Troyes is a lovely old city and this hotel is right in the centre of the pedestrian area.
The reserved hotel parking is very convenient, although the entrance can be a little tricky to find, but they do send you the address of the parking garage, which obviously is not in the pedestrian area.
There is no restaurant, but there are dozens within a few minutes walk - we ate at Le Jardin which is 20m away in the same street, and was very good.

The location was amazing. The fact they had parking so close was superb. The staff were very friendly and the room had everything you needed as well as being exceptionally clean. Great shower too.

Location of this hotel puts you in the heart of Troyes.
The beds are very comfortable and just what we needed after a full days driving.
We were given the same room as our last stay. This was the room we complained about due to the lack of cleanliness of the bathroom and toilet areas.
They gave us an upgrade but wasn’t much better. I sent relevant pictures to the hotel manager.

Outstanding location, luxury service. Made from a fully renovated 1500s town house, right in the middle of the neighborhood that is best preserved (or renovated) and increasingly lively with restaurants and nearby museum. This is a really nice place, and I wish I had booked it for two nights instead of just one. Note that there is an underground passage connecting the hotel to the municipal (underground) parking garage, which was especially convenient when it was pouring rain.
