Air conditioning worked fine in the room, except in the bathroom where the air stays humid 24/7. Staff at the spa was friendly.

The staff at the reception is rude. The check in time is actually 15:00 instead of 14:00. The pool area is dirty with trash in the pool and broked sun beds. The breakfast room is loud and crowded, and the breakfast itself is nothing special. The whole place is worn off. The gym costs extra and the equipment date back to 90’s.

We really enjoyed our week-long stay for our son's first birthday! They even gave us a suite with a private pool which was so lovely of them todo, along with the constant gifts. It was truly a wonderful stay, thank you so much for everything! We will be sure to return! Coming here for our only child's first birthday was really something special, which near everyone did their best to make it that way, which was really lovely.

Most of the staff were wonderful, there were just a handful who were grumpy. It was a shame, they do work long hours, but this is a 5-star hotel, and guests shouldn't expect to have un-happy interactions with staff members (buffet table service staff, and also surprisingly the manager of the Γ€ la carte restaurants, although I think in his case he has taken too many responsibilities on, for example, he was needed for the discount on the receipt which was arranged already by the very helpful customer-services relations table).

I was also bit worried after I booked and paid my reservation (for the entire family), just to later read so many negative reviews on Google Maps. Here's an honest reality check: The hotel was built in 1974 and in some aspect it shows and in others not so much, due to ongoing renovation. The dome is very unique for the entire islands. No other hotel has something like this. Not only it's home to every evening's shows (free of addition charge) for kids and later adults, but there's the longest swimming pool. It's longest side is about 25m long. Great for morning swimmers. If you come before 8AM, there's nobody there, except a dozen cleaning personnel sweeping and moping the floors. The apartments behind the main hotel building, are actually quite decent. You can see some wear and tear due to some years of use but not too much. The cleaning personnel is there every day to help out if you want. There are also smaller pools shared between apartments, so if you prefer a more quiet atmosphere, you got it. A big plus is a mini water park and kids club. Open from 10AM till 6PM, it's very convenient to have your little ones play there. The kids club ladies were very carring and we left our daughter there comfortably for two hours to have some time for us only. The breakfast room is really big and can get noisy, but what do you expect with so many guests at a time. Choose a smaller hotel if you are looking for quiet times. The breakfast itself is OK, but on the basic side. It's very Brittish in it's classic nature, which I don't mind. You'll find your typical favorites, but.. after 7 days of the same you wish they had some sort of variety table with some daily surprises to mix it up a little. Overall it was OK. There was a big 45% discount on Booking. Maybe they are trying to compansate for some shortcomings, but these aren't as bad as some reviews might suggest.

The worse that stand out are around the dome and pools. The construction of the dome is old, cracked and even though the cleaning personnel puts a lot of effort in keeping the doors crystal clear every day, the windows of the dome look like they have been cleaned for years. I was surprised to have the gym being paid extra 5Euro per day. I think this should be part of the hotel price. There's also a game room and also not for free. Every equipment needs a coin fed to it for just a few minutes of play time.

The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean with good daily room service.

The air conditioning did not work properly, despite repeated calls to fix it; the room being a sauna 24 hours a day. The food choice was limited and repetitive, changing little from day to day and was often of poor quality meats (chicken for example). The restaurant resembled more a school canteen, and was incredibly noisy and at time unpleasant. The staff were mostly miserable and unhelpful, and we felt they were doing us a favour even speaking to us. With the exception of the main foyer which was stunning, much of the plant was dated and in places dangerous, with "lifted" wooden boards around the pool areas. There were insufficient loungers for the numbers of guests. The quality of alcoholic drinks varied, from watery and tasteless Prosecco, and some drinks were just not running on some days, and if intended to be served cold, simply were not. As a honeymooning couple, this was a stressful experience and highly disappointing. The hotel should give us some compensation because of that.

It was a good hotel, the location was very good, it was good in terms of access to public transportation and the supermarket and restaurants around it, the access to the beach was very good.

we were originally given a standard room in the hotel, the hotel is meant to be a 5 star. The standard rooms are no more than a 2 star!!! At most. Absolute disgrace, they are run down and very outdated! Disgusting, they were not highlighted on the website. We asked for a room upgrade to 5 star worthy! And we were charged €60 a night to get that luxury, disgrace!

The size of the rooms

First of all my stuff got stolen from the pool and the hotel mentioned that the cameras of this 5 stars hotel is not working which is weird, 290 euro got stolen from me and the hotel could not even check the cameras system, for the whole period of stay they did not even clean my room. however, I have requested that more than 5 times in one day without any result, waste of money for a five stars hotel, workers are not helpful at all, I had to spend another 300 euros in Rhodes hospital for a stomach problems from the food. First and last time please be careful this hotel is -10000000

We had a great time at the hotel. The food was nice, but there could have been more variety. The staff could also have been a bit friendlier; however, Nico quickly made up for this. Nico, the restaurant manager, was exceptionally attentive. He made our stay 100 times better and ensured we were satisfied at all times. He brought us specially made meals from the kitchen and even planned a surprise party for my daughter, complete with a cake. Nico truly is a gentleman and an extremely funny guy. Thank you, Nico, for making our stay amazing! We will definitely be back :)

Most of the staff lack serious customer service skills. The food was awful at best with some exceptions. Alcoholic drinks served in cardboard cups.. The property was in a good location, however, facilities were worn out.

Facilities were very worn out! They put us in a wrong room (large double room with a cheap folding bed) when we arrived at the hotel nearly midnight. Had no choice but to accept. They promised to change us back to the family suite the next day but told us that can only be in the suite we paid, for only one night and had to change the following day. We asked for refund but was refused and treat us badly. Would never book this hotel again!

The β€˜VIP’ benefits are not true. You don’t get a β€˜private check in and out’ or β€˜complimentary coffee pods every day’ and the β€˜complimentary therapy treatment’ is an express 15 minute facial. The garden suites also need some attention, things fixing and some upgrading. The room was also missing things that was in the write up that were meant to be there.

Nice position close to the sea. Wide rooms. And that's it.

It would be a long list, but to mention the most relevant points: the facilities (restaurants, elevators, pools) are definitely undersized relative to the number of guests. The result is queues everywhere during peak hours and fights for a chair on the pool deck. The hotel may have been at a 5-star level when it was first built, but poor maintenance of the facilities, furniture, and restrooms has caused a rapid decline in quality. The cleaning is minimal (I found hair from a previous guest in the shower). The air conditioning is noisy. It’s also not a good idea to mix families with children (to whom they offer packages) with business customers (I was there for a conference). Lastly, in a 5-star hotel, it’s unacceptable to charge for a chair on the beach or require a deposit for a pool towel.

Very poor breakfast. No coffee machine. It is required every time you want coffee to ask one of the staff members, who is not enthusiastic about the request. Most of the food in the dining room did not live up to expectations

Old rooms. The rooms were not ready according to the order (5 adults together) even though in the end 2 adults stayed in Israel for medical reasons. Paid gym, although it is not indicated in the booking. Towels in the pool for rent, and in a cumbersome process. The door of the rooms is heavy and slams shut.

We liked the hotel facilitiesβ€”pools, bars, and restaurants. The staff who were not responsible for room assignments were great. We especially appreciated the staff at breakfast and those who helped us order a taxi. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

The staff responsible for room assignments were rude and unhelpful. My husband has a disability and uses a cane, so I booked and paid in advance for an accessible room with elevator access. I even called the hotel before our arrival to confirm that the room was accessible, and they assured me it was. However, when we arrived, despite seeing my husband with his cane, they assigned us a non-accessible suite located in a separate two-story building at the top of a hill, with no elevator. I explained that this wasn't the room I had booked and paid for, but they told me the room they gave us was more expensive. I insisted that I didn’t want a more expensive roomβ€”I just needed the accessible room I had reserved. The staff then told me that they couldn’t offer us such a room. We arrived at the hotel at 6 PM but had to wait until 7:30 PM for the manager. Eventually, they found a twin room with elevator access, which we accepted, as it was the only accessible room available. However, this was not the room we had initially booked.

Hotel is located next to really nice beach, quite close to Rodos old town and not far from the airport. I really enjoyed my holiday there, Hotel definitely is not 5 stars but still is enjoyable, staff was friendly, they work really hard there.

Hotel is huge, plenty of guest, expect crowds in the restaurant and at the pool, queue to the bar.

Only complaint would be the cafeteria was crazy crowded but that was probably our fault for going just before 10am when it closed. Everyone who’s slept in a bit rushing to get there meal ?

Staff doing a good job trying to polish a turd.

The place is in need of serious renovation. Has great potential but the blocks with garden view are run down and have no sun at any time. Constant smell of damp and cigarette smoke coming through the air con or walls. Door frames nearly coming off the walls, bed weirdly based on a raised stage so you could fall off in the night. Wooden decking around pool areas rotten and only a matter of time before a foot goes through. If you get a garden view specifically do not go in block C.

The breakfast was cold every morning.Thec lamps in our room were damaged and stained.We asked for a kettle for our room and were told there wasn't any spare.Considering this hotel was 5 star I would expected more.When I asked for room service to bring up some hot water it took so long we were in bed when it arrived.When we checked out of the hotel the reception staff member didn't ask us if we were happy with our stay.

Review of Rodos I can only give this 2/3 stars! It most certainly isn’t 5 star! We were on AI and quite honestly we’re made to feel like second class citizens! There are only certain areas of the hotel that we could use, and many areas we could not! Apparently this hotel also offers Ultra A1 but this wasn’t an option on booking.com. The outside bar at the pool area could only be used by UAI, and other guests had to use the Terrace bar which is inside, so if you are sat at the pool and wet from swimming had to walk through on tiles to get a drink, of which the rules were maximum 2 drinks or 2 x single per person (no doubles) Meaning that asking for 2 waters and 2 coffee was not allowed! Also generally only ever 1 bartender, at one point I was 26th in a queue just wanting water, there should most definitely be a water station, also a vending machine where you can get your own hot drinks, such as coffee, we had to queue for everything! When we mentioned this to reception there answer was that the hotel is at full capacity, OK, but shouldn’t they make sure that it is staffed for 3000 + people and have more than one bartender to serve all of those sat around the pool in the day time hours? There wasn’t enough sun beds, so we had to pay €12 at the beach! Our room was up a big hill with many steps to it and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. The room was a family suite, we had a very comfortable large bed, but in the lounge was 2 single beds, no sofas as depicted in the photos on booking.com, so we had to sit on dining chairs to watch the tv! Cleaning staff dont replenish toiletries, or tea, sugar, coffee sachets, which isn’t so much of a problem if your in the hotel or close to it, but impossible if in a room 400m away to fetch a hot drink back to your room! There were no cleaning items in the kitchen, so after making tea or coffee, (which we purchased ourselves) had to use tissue paper to wipe up the spills, otherwise it would be over run with ants!

The beds are not comfortable at all. The beds are not comfortable at all. Two beds were combined to make a single bed. shower cabins were vey old and has no door, all water was on the floor. Don’t wait hot water because wasn’t exist. All the staff, except for the reception, were sullen. Some of the restaurant staff had pleasant faces, but others were completely sullen and seemed unhappy with their work. The electricity in the room suddenly went out, and when we asked for help, the staff on the phone scolded us. You are in a five-star hotel and When we asked for extra towels, we were told, β€˜You already have towels, use them. The only thing that makes the hotel five stars is its size; the quality of service we received wasn’t even worth three stars.

The location.

The staff and hotel protocols. You leave in the morning for an excursion, and the front dining area that is serving breakfast won't give you a water bottle. You have to walk to an entirely different bar way in the back. The all-inclusive drinks were gross, generic alcohol and pop syrup. No kids drinks or mocktails. Long line ups and the buffet was really bad. My kids lived off a high carb white diet of french fries and spaghetti. We started not eating all day and paying for a decent dinner off the hotel at night. They put my 80 year old dad in a 3 story building with no elevator. The beds were on a platform, that makes it very easy to fall when going to the bathroom at night. My father fell hard the first night and I feel contributed to his death a week later. They only switched our rooms, after a Greek friend went and complained to management. Don't get me started on towel service. Make you deposit 10 euro a towel. Have all different varieties of towels ( thickness ,color ect) when the house keeping accidently took 2 of our 3 pool towels ( because 2 were grey one blue) they were going to make me pay another 20 euro. Even after arguing with the towel lady at the front desk,nope would not budge. I could have gone and taken 2 dirty ones from the pool after hours, but I did not. Once again it took my Greek friend to help get our 2 towels back. Ordering taxis: Even when no one around, the front desk refused to order a taxi. Made you go around the corner and wait in line to the lady designated to tourist questions and taxi calling, I guess. The customer service was brutal all around. Pool water freezing, pull out bed horrible. Some staff were nice, like the gentleman at the front desk. But I would never go back. 2 out 10 for me. Danielle

Nothing was so bad

Long ques to get into restaurant every meal… dirty tables and floors in main restaurant. Bad service… all pools freezing cold not heated… not even the indoor one… my daughters lips were blue when she came out of indoor pool. Not enough sun-loungers for guests. Kids club very boring for children. half of arcade games were not working. Hotel pools and fountains were dirty on arrival green water… food is so bad in main restaurant kids were crying begging not to eat… not alot of choice…. Barely any fresh fruit choices just apples and orange. We had apartment with 1 bedroom and sofa bed in living room which was hard and uncomfortable not suitable for a dog let alone a child. Awful hotel never go back not even for free.

The hotel was very luxurious and excellent. All the facilities were full. Access to the city center was good and you could quickly find the requested taxi.

The hotel elevator was terrible and we had to wait about twenty minutes for each ride, and the only problem was the elevator. The pool was open until 6pm, which was very short.
