O'Neills Victorian Pub & Townhouse - Dublin

Superbly located opposite Trinity College, O'Neills Victorian Pub & Townhouse is a 5-minute walk from O'Connell Street and Grafton Street, Dublin's principal shopping district. O'Neills Victorian Pub & Townhouse has been family-owned since 1885 and serves a wide range of Irish beers, whiskeys and wines and excellent home-cooked Irish food. All rooms have contemporary private bathrooms.

We have no elevator, so guests must use stairs to access all rooms. Staff are only sometimes available to help with carrying bags. Our pub is closed on Sundays and Mondays, so guests will use self-check-in for those days.

The townhouse is in the heart of Dublin City and within walking distance of most of Dublin's attractions, including Dublin Castle, St. Stephen's Green and a range of museums and galleries.

There was no elevator in the building. I have a broken foot, so it was difficult for me to get up the stairs. However, the staff was very nice and tried to accommodate me as much as possible.

Greeted in bar by friendly member of staff who showed us to our room. We had a corner room with loads of light on top floor - beautifully clean room and bathroom. Really comfy bed. Hot shower. Could hear street noise but didn't bother us - I quite like it! Easy walking distance to centre of town and to Bord Gais where we were seeing a show. Had nightcap in bar before heading to bed. Tea and coffee available in the dining room - was good to meet up with other people staying.

Great location, great food in the pub and the room was delightful. The beds and duvet were a little too comfy, I overslept. Nice little coffee and tea nook upstairs where you could bring your own food in with just enough tables to sit at over looking the street. Lovely flowers in the window boxes and bread 41 , 100 feet away has pastry to die for!!! If they have availability book it now you will not be disappointed

The location is great, the staff was very helpful whenever we popped in (that said, the pub was open every time we had an inquiry). Great price, nice room and location, but itโ€™s just that. If you need a hotel desk/amenities, this probably isnโ€™t for you.

Car park validation ticket didnโ€™t work and we had to pay full price.

Great location. Rooms were super clean. Free tea and coffee 24x7 in dining room. Pre and post check out baggage storage. Plenty of space, tall ceilings. Comfy beds. Quiet (on the night pub was closed) no clue how loud it is otherwise. They have dispenser of body wash only.

No ac but we opened a window. A fan would have been nice. As typical there is a master plug that controls all outlets. Just forgot for awhile and thought we only had one plug. You have to walk up an entire set of stairs with luggage. Typical in Europe/B&B just fyi. No sink stopper so bring your own.

It was a beautiful family run pub, and we enjoyed our stay there. Very close to Trinity College, Temple, Bar as well as the pick up and drop off for the Dublin express. Super convenient overall, and we ate a nice meal in the pub one night. They have a little dining area with a fridge, which was appreciated. You do have to walk upstairs though to the room. We found the room quite quiet overall.

Our room was clean and quiet. I really liked the common room/kitchen set up. My flight arrived early in the morning, so I was able to make myself a cup of coffee, and get my bearings, before going to the nearby bakery for breakfast. I was also able to stow my suitcase in the corner.

For my taste, the room was a on the cold side; I fell asleep with the covers pulled completely over my head! Thankfully there were extra blankets in the wardrobe. There was a radiator in the room, but we could not turn it on, it seemed to be on a schedule controlled from elsewhere. That said, we never inquired about increasing the room temperature, so maybe it could have been adjusted.

The room and facilities were wonderful. Very old-school classy but updated in all the important ways. Easy check-in, easy access, friendly staff.

My room was on a corner with two pubs, on a busy street, and over a dining room where ppl decided to hang out at 4am. So noise was a factor.

Location was good and the pub downstairs was convenient.

Our room was located below the hotel laundry room so we had very noisy sounds that did not stop until after midnight and stared up again each morning by 7 am. The TV didnโ€™t work and we wanted to watch some local programming in the a.m but couldnโ€™t. The duvet cover was ripped and the filler kept spilling out. Outside our window was an area that staff used for breaks and there was very loud obnoxious language pouring into our window at times. Closed windows but still audible.

The location was great, and we loved being over the pub. The staff was very friendly and the food at the pub was excellent. Everything was clean and it was really nice having access to the kitchenette/dining room. The beds were very comfortable and in-room decor and amenities were perfect! It was a tiny bit noisy being right on the main street and next to the tram line, but we kind of expected that. It wasn't loud enough that it kept us awake or woke us up, but wouldn't be great for light sleepers (though I think you'll get some level of noise anywhere in the city). We didn't have an issue with the two flights of stairs, but it might be tricky for those with mobility issues. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful location, very cute and clean. It's a short walk to Trinity college. There is also a bus stop just across the street, and several others within a few blocks, so it was easy to navigate to a ton of places around town. Check in was a breeze. Be prepared for stairs. I didn't have a problem with a carry-on suitcase, but it can be a little difficult to navigate the first set of stairs with larger luggage.

This was a lovely old "Pub with Rooms" with the pub dating back to the 1850's. It was a traditional pub within walking distrance of Trinity College and the Temple Bar area. The pub seemed to be a very popular spot for young, professionals in the area and was quite busy into the evening. As with most old buildings, there was no air conditioning but fans were provided. The pub staff were very friendly and helpful. It was very easy to get into the lodgings and to check out. It was a lovely stasy.

We were disappointed that there was no trad music at night but the locals were fun to talk to and the restaurant was popular, too.
