If what you are looking for is an A++ stay at a hotel that provides easy access by foot and bus to most, if not all, of Dublin's cultural, national, and/or tourist attractions while being located in a "normal" area of Dublin, do yourself a favour and check this place out.
I'm not a foodie nor much of an eater and because I know that chefs can come and go, I seldom comment on food. With that caveat...I found the one dinner I had in the house restaurant, The Den, to be extraordinarily good, worth a destination as its own. My only reservations were with the portion size and the very limited dinner menu. There was so much of my Caesar Salad that I had to leave half to the compost bin. Unfortunately the dinner selections were weighted to red meat and fried options.

Nice location - 20 minutes by foot to the city centre. In the area many some groceries stores, bars and restaurants.
- We were not informed by the reception that the breakfast is extra paid. The guy told is that we have the breakfast. We are that and then the waitress came with the bill.

The room was lovely. It was clean, warm and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept well. The lighting was good. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Location was good for the RDS tradeshow we were attending. Would happily stay again.
The bathroom was chilly. The radiator didn't seem to work. And the shower was temperamental. Otherwise, it was clean, and there was plenty of hot water in the sink.

I love the location and it is a very homely hotel and reasonably priced.
I would have liked more fresh fruit eg melon and grape and I would have liked plain yoghurt but the full Irish was really tasty. The shower was fixed to wall and was difficult to regulate.

Location was pretty good for us as we were going to the Aviva.
The breakfast experience was all over the place and I feel the young lady was overworked and deserved some extra help from management. She was under a lot of pressure and was trying to look after so many customers by herself. Management here need to remember how they started and give a helping hand.

The staff are excellent and the Reception Manager, Jimmy, exceptional.
If you get Room 36 single room, watch out for the shower. The temperature guage was stuck on scalding hot. Despite their best efforts, this could not be rectified by staff. After one night and having to wash in a tiny hand basin, the staff, who were incredibly professional, gave me a different room where I stayed the second and final night. The staff, especially Jimmy, couldn't have been more helpful. It's such a shame the hotel doesn't replace the faulty shower. My opinion is that as a single room.it does not bring in enough revenue. But if the Hotel owners could see the bigger picture, they would see that this narrow view let's down the entire Landsdowne Hotel...and more importantly, the excellent staff who work there.

It took me, ages to find and lost out on some of the talks at my venue. All the streets in Ballsbridge look the, same. I was walking for hours before I found it, as I don't drive.
Just a very ok place to stay. Suited me I suppose, as I was very tired after a long day. Very clean and comfortable.
It was a bit pricey though, I have to say. Too expensive for a basic room. I did not eat there, so no comment on that....prob a bit pricey I would think.

It was big, had lots of characters, it had good facilities, it was in good walking distance from the centre. It was really clean, the bed was really comfortable and there was everything you’d need.
The only thing I didn’t like was the coffee and there was no sweetener, only sugar. But there are worse things happening in the world and it wouldn’t stop me staying here again :)

Incredible location that’s an easy walk both to city center or the DART line for exploration. Close to the hotel there’s plenty of good food to find and there’s even an attached pub at the bottom of the hotel
Unfortunately my stay didn’t go so well. There was construction inside the hotel, which may have been why my plumbing didn’t work. I was unable to use the shower, flushing the toilet would sometimes back up the sink and vis versa. And after my first night out at the pubs, being woken up by saws and drills right outside the door was a terrible experience.
I really liked this location and room, but it just doesn’t feel ready for guests at this time

The location is short walk from the city centre. It was perfect for a quieter stay. The room was large, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was delicious with large portion size. They all so have a good vegetarian option. Staff were kind, accommodating and helpful. For anyone looking, there’s a delicious Japanese food just up the street called Zakura. We would definitely stay here again.
