We spent a wonderful weekend at this historic hotel. The service was excellent throughout, and we especially enjoyed the variety of restaurants and bars available on-site. The location is perfect—central, yet peaceful—which made our stay truly memorable. Highly recommended!

The only thing we didn’t like was the rather small size of our room. However, this was a minor issue compared to the overall quality of the experience.

The location was good for our trip - we were participating in the Marathon. Hotel is lively with nice bars.

The room was quite old and the bathroom was very small. The was only a bathtub over the shower and it was very compact. 1 sink. The room was a king and I believe one of the older rooms in need of refurbishment. Beside the lift so we could hear the lift as it went up and down the entire stay. We stayed in room 662 so not advisable. For the cost of the stay we were very disappointed in the room.

Location was perfect. Located near to the main shopping high street. Short walk to temple bar area. The staff were extremely friendly and the room was very clean. The lobby area and entrance is stunning and very striking.

The coffee machine was a little temperamental in the room and our view from the window was uninspiring. However, we didn’t opt for the park view so we can live with that.

Leisure centre facilities lacking majorly. Pool temp could be warmer. Although renovations are underway, there is no plan within those renovations to include a jacuzzi or thermal suite facilities. Understandably with an old building - space can be an issue for plans such as this. However, with a Spa, such facilities would be largely favorable. The swimming pool could be two thirds the size to incorporate a jacuzzi. Just a suggestion. Always look forward to my Christmas trip there!

Fabulous stay for a milestone birthday. Staff couldn't have been nicer. We had a nice room booked but got upgraded to a lovely suite. Came back later that night and they had left some wine and desserts along with a card wishing me a happy birthday. Breakfast was so nice and the valet parking was a bonus. Expensive stay but it was such a treat. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Thank you Shelbourne. We will be back. X

It’s just not the old Shelbourne since Marriott took over. Lacks the previous warmth. Biggest criticism is that there is no place to sit in the lobby and enjoy the ambiance. We either had to stay in our room or be in a restaurant. Very disappointing

Beautiful spacious room, very attentive and friendly staff, delicious buffet breakfast. Great stay in such a historic and grand hotel with bed turndown service and china cups for tea/coffee at breakfast.

Our bedroom was on the 6th floor and it was quite a trek (several corridors and 2 lifts) to the swimming pool and with no directions. Currently only the pool is open but we were already informed about that. Also we could not obtain a dinner menu for the Saddle room ( even with helpful staff) and as it was not displayed anywhere and we had no booking we went into town for dinner.

We have stayed few times now, it’s exceptional from when you enter until you leave. Every single member of staff are so friendly especially check in with Rouspet. The room which we got an upgrade for my husband’s birthday was incredible. Breakfast was amazing and breakfast staff so friendly and helpful. Walking distance to absolutely everywhere in the city. Make sure walk around St Stephen’s Green.

I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. I am a Marriott loyalist, and this property (a Marriott / Autograph collection hotel) has blown me away. The staff were incredibly kind, generous and helpful - going well out of their way to offer guidance, recommendations, support, etc. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and very comfortable, and the attention to detail with things like coffees, teas, glasses, robes etc is unparalleled. My family and I have - across the board - ranked this as absolute tops for us.
