I liked the apartment very much, it is big, bright light, modern, the couch and the bed were excellent, big bedroom. Very good location also, everything nearby, a little bit noise of the busses, but the advantage taking the bus at your doorstep. And shutters and airco very good against the heat. Good WiFi. The apartment building is nice and quiet. And a very nice and friendly welcome, explaining things.
I missed a microwave a little bit (but knew it was not there). The TV had only Italian channels.

The picture on booking reservation showed stairs, suggesting that the apartment is duplex. in reality, it was a one level studio flat. The staff explained to us that the picture is of another duplex apartment that they have but we booked a studio. It was mix up. However, that picture nudged my choice against other places on booking.com. Make sure you booked the right place.
Also, there were no cups for tea or coffee and a single glass for water.
The location is convient. The building is upmarket and clean. The room was clean. The staff was polite and efficient.

The apartment location was very noisy because it was directly across from a bus stop on a busy street. people at the bus stop could see into apartment window. The sleeping quarters were very warm and did not have any ventilation. We were only given one key for entry to the apartment, which made it difficult on days when our schedules were different.

Fantastic location within walking distance to Piazza Maggiore, the French Christmas markets and other main sites around the historical centre.
The host was very responsive on communications. We arrived late in the evening (10.30pm) and while we incurred a late evening check-in fee, the apartment was heated for our arrival and we were greeted by a friendly gentleman who was very informative on where we could park our car and happy to provide helpful recommendations for things to see.
The apartment had all the essentials for a warm, comfortable family stay, including an added rollaway bed for our second child. We would happily recommend Residenza Piazza Santo Stefano to friends.

An ideal location, a taxi stop near the door (getting a taxi in Bologna just on the street is a non-trivial task), an excellent representative of the owner.
Everything that is written about the bathroom is true. The bathroom needs IMMEDIATE renovation. At the same time, the living room and bedroom are clean and quite cozy. Yes, it's a bit noisy, but it's a busy street in the heart of the city. if you don't like this, you can choose other apartments.
But here's what's interesting. We have rented apartments in Bologna many times. There was always a minimal set of products in the kitchen. Salt, pepper, olive oil, for example. Sometimes even tea, coffee paste and spices. After all, if you live in such apartments, you always buy something for yourself in the store. And, of course, you leave these products in the kitchen cupboard when you leave. There was nothing in this apartment, not even salt. Of course, this is not the responsibility of the owner. But it's very strange.

#5 is facing and above a very lively road. The inevitable spillover of city noise from traffic is disruptive at night, and earplugs definitely recommended. A tad shabby & indeed of a closed off day free of bookings so a thorough clean and lick of paint could be applied. Lazy unimaginative effort for artwork (having bog standard tacky canvases of coffee culture adorning walls in front of the seriously squeaky bed without providing a few coffee sachets downstairs a bit odd)
An easy 10 if a bit of effort and affection applied but settling for a so so review through lack of any real effort beyond providing the basics.
Also....eliminate the collection of used sponges beneath the sink, they have had their days of purpose and are now just spongy little squares of filth.

The location was very close to shops restaurants and a chemist right beside the appartment. Easy to walk to all the local sites. It was perfect for me and my daughter. The owner was easy to contact in relation to our stay through WhatsApp. They kindly met My older daughter to show her the appartment and allow her to collect the keys. Then we were left to enjoy with no interference from anyone. I appreciate this because our flight was at night so I didn't want the owner coming out late to meet us so this was perfect. Towels body wash sachets etc were provided. The shower was powerful and hot water if needed. It was really hot during our stay so cool showers were a must. The bed was so comfortable and pillows. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this appartment to couples and families. The entrance was very secure with electric doors and metal gates making it feel very safe. There also a lift up to the appartment which makes it accessible even to wheelchair users.
Small details like no t towel to dry the dishes. The pillows cud use a freshen up or replacement. There's noise from the street but it's the middle if the city so that's to be expected.

It is advertised as a deluxe one bedroom apartment, which is misleading. It is a basic studio apartment, it could do with modernising and a deep clean throughout. The location is excellent, the communication was excellent, apart from the advertising as it shows all the photos of all the apartments on the bookings. It is very noisy from the street below, but then you have a great location so it depends on what you prefer. Maybe they could move the furniture around so the bed was a bit further from the window.

Excellent location a few minutes walk from our favourite piazza in Bologna. The hosts were very prompt at providing extra linen for the sofa bed, when our daughter unexpectedly needed to stay, at a small extra cost (€10 per night). Light and airy apartment, with swifts flying around outside, and great people-watching to be enjoyed on the street below.

The Residenza is very well-organized and very safe. It is located in an excellent part of Bologna and is within walking distance of most of the main tourist attractions. It is also well-served by public transport since it has a bus stop right in front of it. The apartment was very spacious and the main bedroom on the upper floor was cosy.
The only thing I would have changed is the spare bed which we needed for our son. It was very flimsy. I think for the apartment, a more sturdy folding bed would be more suitable to make our stay even better. The room was also a bit noisy when we left the balcony door open since it opens up onto a main road with lots of cars and buses passing by constantly from early morning to late at night.

Not a critique per se (because of the zoning charges enforced by the municipality), but the fact that there’s no parking makes the stay more expensive than you may have expected, if you drive there. Parking spaces around the area are 1.80/h from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm so be prepared for it.

Needs some TLC. Shower is antique, had more repairs than is good for it. Given the house guide about care, tidiness etc it would've been good to have some basic items like washing up liquid. There was a little but watered down! And stuff for the toilet . But I was on my own so no great probs. Needs some cash injection.

The check-in was easy and the room was clean.
The photos of the property are extremely misleading - multiple photos show stairs in the property, suggesting there is a separate bedroom with the sofa bed in the downstairs room.
This is not the case - we had a single room with a bed and a sofa bed for three adults for 5 nights. Had we known this was the case we wouldn't have booked the room. When we showed the host the photos of the room we thought we booked he said they didn't offer that property.

Its location with secure entry is very good. Good serviceable lift. Easy walk into Piazza Santo Stephano and the attractions and sights of Bologna.

Kitchen equipment was a bit sparse, eg no bottle opener, cutting board. No stocks of toilet paper for a 4-night stay!

Location is excellent, very central to all the major sites, easily reachable by public transport, yet reasonably quiet for being on a major street with bus traffic. Big bonus - taxi stand right at the front door, easy to catch a taxi. Host was wonderful, good communication. Large apartment with all the necessary amenities
AC may need to be looked at. It makes noises and cooling efficiency is not good. Also, the shower enclosure leaks water on the floor. Easy to stop/mitigate with a towel on the floor to soak water up, but it should not be happening in the first place. These are minor issues, and should be easy to fix

Host met with us upon arrival. Check in process was smooth. There is a lift in the apartment so it is quite easy especially when travelling with family and have large suitcases. The apartment opposite a bus stop so it's convenient to take the bus. It's also within 10-15 mins of main attractions in the city centre. Plenty of eateries and nearby supermarkets. The kitchen and toilets were clean.
The bed sheets and floor were a bit dusty. The wall plugs seemed to be quite loose like it's coming off the walls.

Nice appartment, a lot of space with a nice wooden floor
Noisy from the outside and all furniture at the end of its life span, in particular the kitchen. Greasy air exhaust, no extra's except 3 kg of salt. Bed also not nice. Shower cabin mouldy, and with minimal toiletries, but good towels. Stains on/from the airconditioning (not tested for functionality).
