The staff were excellent and very helpful at all times. The room was very clean and was maintained to a very high standard throughout our stay. We really appreciated that.
The hotel is right by the central tourist area so there are lots of restaurant options for evening meals.
The shower area was small and no more than OK. There were no coffee/tea facilities in the room but you could always get "proper" coffee from Reception (and other drinks) 24hrs/day for a very modest charge so overall this was not a big issue.
The hotel is a tall building (reception on floor 5 - upper street level) and the breakfast restaurant on the ground floor (city centre level) so you are dependent on the single lift, which gets busy, unless you don't mind running up and down stairs!

Location was okay
The hotel in general is outdated and over charged. The only elevator which is a necessity is to small and a joke. The size rooms are ok but bathroom to small. To control the AC you have to ask for remote. Car parking is lucky shot. The breakfast is very poor and basic. The internet signal weak. No complementary water bottles per persons per day… the overall staff is totally not focused of caring which made our stay during our 3 week Italy trip the worse accommodation.

The location of hotel was absolutely amazing and even though we didn’t have coffee making facilities, our beautiful receptionist Sara provided everything we needed to make our stay more comfortable! would definitely stay again !
To make a suggestion would be probably get another lift installed as one is not enough and existing one is way to slow !

Good location with easy walk to shops and sea. The breakfast was the best part of the stay - a huge selection of cakes and pastries, cold cheese and meats, scrambled eggs, breads and fruit options.
The room was quite basic and the bathroom felt quite old. Noise could be heard from the hallway late at night and early morning.
For this reason I would not stay there again particularly at over 200 euros a night.

Location, location, location! Walking distance to everything including the train station, harbour, shopping and restaurants. The hotel is on a hill and there’s a ground level access point that eliminates the need to climb unnecessary stairs. Breakfasts have something for everyone. Room was spacious, clean and quiet. Good value for money!
It is a bit tired (furniture in common areas) looking.

Check-in was really fast and easy. Location was perfect. The hotel is located a little bit above the city center I believe, so the reception is in the 5th floor but then you take the elevator to the ground floor where you can exit to go to the walkable area. In the ground floor is also the breakfast room, which had plenty of food, coffee, all kind of breads, sweets, cold meat, cheese, yogurt, fruit, juice, etc. Parking was right outside the hotel, which was great. The hotel was very clean, spacious, comfortable and the staff were very nice.
The mattress maybe? anyway, we slept like babies!

The elevator did not work well. We were on the 7th floor, and had to walk down to 1st floor several times.

CDH Hotel, La Spezia
The hotel has a brown & white striped front. One can park in front of the hotel
to off load luggage. Parking is available in the hotel’s detached garage.
We were directed to park in an assigned space. Parking was 5 Euros per day.
La Spezia is a hilly town, the “front or upper door”allows easy access to La Spezia’s Castle, via funicular. To access the city’s main shopping and museums, use the hotel’s ground level exit. The room was well appointed, spacious and modern with good lighting and the staff was very accommodating to our needs-like extra towels, pillows, & improvised second luggage rack. Breakfast was an amazing array of pastries, fresh fruit, salad making material, fruit juice, conveyor toaster, yogurt & jam station, prosciutto cotto, salami, cheese, but, (sorry), we do not recommend the eggs.
The eggs at breakfast. Take them off the menu.
