The host was really friendly and accommodating. We had only 2 nights to spend in the area and he gave us great advice on how to spend it as efficiently as possible. We ended up taking his recommendation and ended up visiting most of the area during our short stay. The room we got also had USB port sockets which was really impressive for the location ? Andrea took good care of detail in his guest house and we felt really comfortable.

We were made to feel extremely welcome right from our moment of arrival. Andrea kindly met us at the bus station and walked us to the apartment, explaining all the possible hiking trails, local restaurants and history of Biassa. The room was very clean, comfortable and homely. We stayed for 6 nights and it was the perfect break for myself and my partner, we came back feeling extremely refreshed and humbled by the beauty of Biassa and Cinque Terre! A special mention is for Gloria who runs the local tobacco shop and cafe. She was extremely friendly and helpful during our time and would help with bus/train tickets, morning coffees and local wines. Thank you very much for the amazing memories :)

Small but nice room. Biassa is an small old town and the perfect base for visiting Cinque Terre. Unfortunately we only stayed one night, so we had no time to explore the various hiking trails in the area. The host was very friendly and gave extensive explanations and tips.

Showering (in the bath) was a challenge (especially for tall people).

Esp appreciated Gloria in the local tobacco & breakfast shop who helped us plan & got tickets for bus & trains for us to get around Cinque Terre. She was wonderfully helpful!!

Not all rooms have views & ours didnโ€™t so that was a disappointment. It did have a nice patio that we enjoyed but had expected a view. Also isnโ€™t air conditioned. Evenings cooled down but very warm in afternoon. iWhen gone for the day not a problem.

Great view in a quiet town similar to the Cinque Terre villages but then without the masses of tourists.

There is a certain lack of luxury that comes with the territory. The bathroom for example is half a floor higher than the bedrooms. This can be tricky during a night time visit to the bathroom. The view is just breathtaking.

Pietra Di Mare is a beautiful property that the owners have totally redone. It is extremely private and quiet. The patio is a wonderful place to sit with your morning coffee.

our chamber had a small bath, with a tub and hand held shower. I did not mind this at all, but my husband is very tall and would like a stand up shower. There are many steps up to the property, it didnโ€™t bother us at all, but be aware of this when booking.

The house and the rooms are very well equipped and in a very good shape. There is a great view from the balcony to see "La Spezia". It was very clean and comfortable. A really nice place and a great host!

The host (Andrea) was friendly and helpful. He provided guidance via WhatsApp as the location is a little remote. However, the only restaurant in town is fantastic. 10/10 We very much liked that Pietra di Mare has only a couple of rooms and never feels crowded. The hotel is dog friendly which is a must for us.

Parking can be a little tricky and there are quite a few stairs to get from the street parking to the hostel.

We loved our stay here. The area is beautiful. Our room was clean and comfortable. Andrea was super helpful and friendly. It was a good base for us to explore Cinque Terre and we'd definitely stay again. The views from the terrace looking down to the port in La Spezia were lovely. Lots of options for hiking too if that's your thing.

Breakfast was limited; just a basket in the room with a selection of cakes, wafers and biscuits not included in the room price. This didn't bother us much to be fair, and there was a coffee machine in the room. Again, not a problem for us but, there are a lot of steps to get to the accommodation! Certainly keeps you fit.

The location of the little town of Biassa is perfect for exploring Cinque Terre. It's off the beaten track which makes it quiet and peaceful. The room was lovely, neat and clean and the view of La Spezia from the balcony is beautiful. Andrea was a superb host who was very helpful with information about the area. The little Tobacco shop (owned by Gloria) just up the road is a must visit. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and gives valuable information on where to go and what to do.

The only criticism is that it would have been wonderful to have had a laundry service.

The owner was very hospitable, gave us over and above all the information we needed to find our way and enjoy the small town and the sorroundings. The room, balcony and garden were immaculate. You can actually feel rested while sitting on the balcony and enjoy the peace of that small town and the incredible view. The town has a few restaurants and places you can get a coffee and fresh croissant. It also has a hostel, so you see locals, families and young people. The place is green with lots of beautiful flowers and not crowded. It is easy to get to Cinque Terre by bus and back. Always take the first bus stop because the bus is usually full. Parking places are few, but we had no problem finding parking and it is free.

Everything was great. There is nothing we didn't like. But the streets are actually steep stairs, so travel light. Be prepared to walk and climb stairs.

Very nice view. Quite surroundings. Property is nice. Staff helpful. Maybe good for hiking that we have not done...

You have to appreciate to be very far from everything - countryside in the hills. The small town is far from everything. We had the pitty that the 2 restaurants were closed... Without car impossible. Some km on serpentines to drive to come to the next city. As all accomodations are expensive it s diffcult to say of it is worth the money... The rooms are seprated by some floor levels... Luggage you have to carry for 200 m or uphill wkith stairs... nothing for weak guests or with heavy luggage...

Very nice location in a small village away from the touristy chaos of cinque terre but close enough to have easy access. The apartments are nicely remodeled with a nice view and very nice furniture and amenities with a good terrace and outdoor seating

Main issue is that the house is in difficult to access area so it is pretty tough to carry to suitcases up there. Once done it is fine but with the heat it can be a big effort. Other concern are the boars which are starting to make their presence felt more and more in the village. we encountered one on the way back one evening and it is not comfortable...

- Beautiful and quiet place. Perfect as a starting point to visit Cinque Terre and La Spezia. - Room service on every single day, which is very rare in apartment-rooms. - Very friendly and helpful owners!

Just a minor thing, but the (optional!) breakfast consists of sweet stuff only. It's understandable, considering the fact, that Biassa is a bit of a remote village.

The owner communicates very clearly and went out of his way to teach us about the area and even recommended the best ways to see as much of cinque terra as possible - by boat. Turned out to be such a gift! The space requires a good climb up some stone stairs but oh how that adds to the authenticity. This place is such a rare gem - to be able to experience some of the beauty and history of this old town and in the comfort of a beautifully redone room was spectacular for us! The view from the veranda and the bells tolling from the church below were highlights. Two excellent restaurants below.

Wish there were more fans as I failed to note lack of A/C when booking

Everything about the accommodation was amazingly quaint, comfortable and peaceful. The view we woke up to each morning created such a peaceful atmosphere. Never before have I stayed in a village like this. The walk between car park and hotel is not for the unfit, but to just imagine how old those walls are that you pass en route, makes it all worthwhile.

Nothing about the accommodation was bad. Be prepared for lack of food options in the village, especially if it's not the weekend. Also don't rely on Google Maps for if the restaurants that do exist, are open. Ask the wonderful hotel owners/staff

The hotel is in a lovely little town nestled in the mountains, itโ€™s quite remote and only has 2 restaurants that arenโ€™t open all the time, so if youโ€™re happy with this I would definitely recommend this place! There are smalls delis and supermarkets that have great local food, so you wonโ€™t go without. Location is lovely - cute village (NB not suitable for people with mobility problems - access is only by foot and a lot of steps) - getting to cinque terre villages is easy (bus to riomaggiore then train). Room was comfortable and plenty of space. There was access to a large fridge you could use. There is a nice terrace and small garden to sit out in.

I did not like the fact they supplied tea/coffee maker then expected you to pay for the coffee. Surely it should be included in the room rate. Although you could order breakfast supplied to the room it was mainly sweet things - no bread - we did not really like it.

Super clean room! Andrea was a nice and helpful host and Gloria from the local tobacco/coffee shop was also tremendously helpful. The village and community were friendly, quiet and quaint - very peaceful. It was a different and wonderful experience to actually stay in a local village community. You could hike (2.5 hours or so) to Cinque Terre if desired and take a bus (on days available) to La Spezia Centrale. We enjoyed both of the restaurants in the Bissa Village (Italian Restaurant, Locanda del Gallese and the Pizzeria). Both were delicious! We already want to go back to the Locanda del Gallese and we would definitely enjoy visiting Biassa and staying at Pietra Di Mare again. The bakery and the local shop with cheese, meat and wine are also incredible.

Tourists need to be aware that Biassa is truly a village in the mountains. There are taxis from the train station/La Spezia that will take you up and drop you off but they do not come up the mountain for pick up to go back down. That means that if you do not have a car, you need to plan properly for transportation. We stayed a Friday and Saturday night and were able to take a bus down Saturday to get to La Spezia and then take the train from there to Cinque Terre. But on Sunday, there are no buses from Biassa to La Spezia and taxis won't or aren't available to come up or very costly (we were told, as we never found a taxi to come up at all). We had to take a bus to Cinque Terre (Riomaggiore, which we had no plans to go to on Sunday) and figure out a way to get to the La Spezia train station. Be prepared that the only transportation down the mountain on Sunday is a 10am bus to Cinque Terre (Riomaggiore) and that is it! Normally there are trains from Riomaggiore to La Spezia but it so happened that Sunday there was also a train employee strike so that made things very complicated. That situation, of course, is not the fault of Pietra Di Mare - you just need to be aware, as a tourist, that this is a more quiet and secluded village so transportation needs to be planned accordingly. Your luggage also needs to be planned accordingly as the bus is not very big.

We loved our warm welcome and patient detailed explanations of how to make the most of our time. The location is so nice- a small village with a quiet ambience. We would love to come back!

The location, the owner has put so much effort into making this property very comfortable.

I wouldnโ€™t say that there was anything I didnโ€™t like about the property.

The guesthouse is very modern, even though the building and neighborhood are centuries old. Andrea is a great host. He gave us a lot of information about Biassa and visiting Cinque Terre. There are small shops for groceries and a couple restaurants.

It's a lot of stairs from the street, but it also gives the neighborhood its old world charm. Parking can be hard if you return at night, but we always found a spot close by. The first night the room stayed very warm at night.

It was in such a cute area in Biassa outside of main la spezia. Nausicca was so incredibly helpful with information about the town and how to get to and from Cinque Terre!

Donโ€™t make the same mistake we did and wait too long to come back! we almost got stranded in la spezia because we missed the last bus! It is a bit out of the way to get to!
