The photos are misleading. The kitchen area that is featured in the photos of the double room is actually a communal area. When you are checked in they take you to the 2nd floor and into a common area which has a fridge and kettle etc. but your actual room is more like a bedroom in an apartment. Ours was tiny. Not enough space to open a large suitcase. The common area door kept getting left open too so it didn’t feel very secure. Reminded me more of a room in a hostel rather than a hotel…
We ended up checking out a day early because the room really put a dampener on our whole Rome experience.

The location of the property was excellent, really easy walking distance to most major of the cities landmarks and right on the doorstep of some great restaurants.
Noise travelled and single pane windows in a period property do not allow for good sound insulation meaning if you’re a light sleeper you’ll be woken up by the nightlife.
There was a common area to our room with tea and coffee facilities but it’s always nice to have something like that in your room.
Bathroom door handle was broken which meant it kept coming off. Wasn’t too much of a big deal and didn’t mention it but would have imagined if we had they would have fixed it as the staff were super friendly and very helpful.

1. There was a bell that constantly rang every 30 mins to an hour. It would disturb any relaxing or sleep we would have.
2. The room spray/diffuser is quite strong. Not really suitable for people with sensitive sinuses.
3. No heating in the room, if there was it didn’t work.
4. Certain aspects could have been made clearer during checkin. For example, cleaning only occurs from certain hours of the day. So, if you decide to sleep in you miss the opportunity to have the room refreshed for the evening. Having designated time for cleaning is not the problem, but clearer communication is necessary so guests can plan accordingly.
5. Room was too dark.
6. The shower has no door so the water would leak out.

We booked a Deluxe Double Room in the main building, and if I ever come back to Rome, I would definitely stay here again.
The room was a perfect size, looked great, and had a nice view. The bed was comfortable, the cleaning was impeccable (fresh towels every day), and the internet was excellent.
I spoke with multiple staff members at the reception, and all of them were extremely kind. There’s also a chill zone and a kitchen outside the room, equipped with coffee, tea, cutlery, plates, and a fridge.
The location is great, too— all the main sites are within easy walking distance, and there’s a fairly large supermarket near the hotel.
The street was a bit loud in the evening and during the nights, but this is typical to this area.

We were very upset about the bed. We booked a double bed but it was two single beds joined together really badly. The hole in the middle did not allow me and my husband to sleep together nicely as a couple. We ended up having to sleep nearly separately on both the sides of the bed.

The staff, especially the young lady who was at the desk at the time of my arrival, was most eager to help. She showed me other rooms that were available, but none of them were that significantly different, except some had a window, which my room did not have. The air-conditioning worked well. The location was very convenient.
The room was small, with no windows (a skylight). The value for the money was not high. Although I paid a discounted price (some 220 euros a night), the actual room price (behind the door) was listed at 1,000 euros/nigh - and the room CERTAINLY was not worth that. The room was absolutely plain - no decorations, nothing. Apart from hand and bath gel and cream from Acqua di Parma, there were no other amenities. The bidet spray (not a separate item in the bathroom) worked whenever it wanted. There was daily housekeeping, but it involved just making the bed (I do not know how often sheets were changed in the week I was there), and new towels every day - sometimes humid (guests were invited to use the same towel for environmental reasons, and yet a new one was put in the room every day).

I did not stay at the actual Spanish Suite due to them not having an upgraded room available. The hotel was very accommodating and moved me to the 5-star hotel Nomas. It was amazing. Staff was very attentive and location was right around the corner from my other booking. I will be staying again.
My biggest complaint would be the elevator being down for most of my stay. The stairs were a lot. Also The toilet was a little odd but I understand the theme they are going for.

We didn’t actually stay at The Spanish Suite Campo dei Fiori location, but at a newly built Hotel Trame, (perhaps owned by the same company). When we arrived at The Spanish Suite Campo dei Fiori we were told that the room we booked at that location was not available but we are getting a free upgrade to a different location to which there is a 10 min. walk. The walk was well worth it, instead of staying at the facility with a 7.7 rating we received a luxurious room at a 5 star hotel. It is a small, newly built, beautifully designed hotel with spacious rooms and bathrooms, very high ceilings and big windows. All rooms are on the first floor to which there is an elevator. The staff at the reception is super nice and very professional. Excellent breakfast is served at a location nearby.
Highly recommend this place.

The location was extremely convenient to us and thereby we saved up so much on travel time and expense. It was also extremely clean and on a daily basis the room bedding and linen was changed and the room was polished as new. So each time we walked into our room back in the evenings after our day's journey, it felt like we were coming back to a brand new room.
The wifi speed was also quite fast so we were able to stream on the TV.
The guest services were extremely quick. All I had to do was drop them a message and they attended my requirements immediately.
There was a slight issue with the AC on the first day as it kept switching off, but when I informed the guest services, they attended to it immediately and I had no issues after that.

It was located in a central spot. This made it easy to walk to all the sites we wanted to see.
There was mold in the bathroom.

The location was great, close to many touristic places. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy. The bathroom was clean and we had hot water.
The king bed were two twin beds and was a bit uncomfortable the line in the middle, and the shower a bit small. but that’s it.
