This is a unique property with location, location for Central Trieste. Almost all of the key historic sites are within a short walk. Restaurants, arts and crafts are found within a few hundred meters. Park your car or travel here without a car and enjoy Central Trieste, its harbor and historic sites.
I have nothing to recommend to improve the experience. With time, I hope that the hotel can be retrofitted to improve accessibility. This is a challenge given the era when the hotel was built.

This hotel has character, interesting furniture and great staff. It is in a quaint old area with lively bars and restaurants in the immediate area.
The hotel is in the old town so car access is limited to a short stop in a narrow one-way street. There is a good car park 5 minutes away but with inner city rates of EUR 15 per day.

A little oasis. If you're looking for a home away from home you are just right here!! Everything was simply perfect. Lovely, helpful staff, excellent breakfast (incredible honey and jam selection), beautifully furnished rooms, great housekeeping. Only thing to mention: for elderly or handicapped people, request a room on the lower floors, as there's no elevator.

Location was fabulous!!! Few minutes walk to the piazza. The staff were friendly, professional and very accommodating. Communication was always responsive & helpful. The interiors were incredibly stylish, with beautiful paintings & antiques & rooms were larger than normal. Breakfast was pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruit & meats n cheese - no hot breakfast served.
The apartment in the old town was carefully renovated and close to the key tourist attractions and good restaurants.

We were in an apartment near to the hotel. It was totally independent. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of space. Its in a good location.
The photos of the apartment were flattering. Whilst spacious the furniture seemed a little tired. Two buildings opposite were being renovated so it was pretty noisy - clearly not the hotels fault, but still meant we didnt feel we could have the windows open

They better cancel the breakfast - which was disappointing anyway - and keep the reception neat. Very pleasant, rather quirky little hotel, with plenty of character and very welcoming staff. Excellent location. The room was nicely appointed with antique furniture, and the bathroom was modern and functioned well. Unusually, the bedside lights were actually bright enough to read by!
Our room was on the front of the hotel, and there was some traffic noise from the street, although this quietened down late at night.

The room was quite spacious with ample outlets for charging our electronics. Beds were comfortable. Room had air conditioning which we had complete control over. Bathroom was fine - plenty of hot water, although just a little tight for two people. Breakfast was nicely presented with good quality food to choose from. What was especially nice were the local jams and honeys to choose from.
It was not a problem for us, but guests should be aware there is no elevator in the building and if you're on a higher floor - which we were - you'll need to walk up and down each time to arrive and leave the hotel.
