We loved this hotel. Location was amazing. Right on the water. Just a short walk from the ferry stop. We loved the large size of our room. My husband and I had a large bed downstairs with another bed for another child. Other teens stayed upstairs in the loft. It was perfect. Staff was accommodating. Breakfast was amazing. We will recommend this hotel to everyone. It was perfect for our visiting family of 5.

Only tip.... on the website and emails, it says the closest ferry stop is Ca' d'Oro Stop 0.1 km. That is on the OTHER SIDE of the Canal. It is better to get off at Rialto Mercato and walk. It was not far. I would not recommend getting off at the other stop as you would have to take a private water taxi (and pay more money), instead of going down one stop and double backing. It was only a 2-3 minute walk. We loved how this hotel was RIGHT ON THE CANAL!!!

Beautiful location. Comfortable bar. Reception desk staff during the day were very friendly and helpful with recommendations.

Rooms were extremely hot in early April when outside temperature overnight was around 10c. I called the reception multiple times as the in-room heating control wasn't working and they told me that they would remotely turn down the temperature but after several hours the room was still extremely hot, so much that I woke up several times during the night in sweats. We rented two rooms and had exactly the same problem across both rooms. I also found the rooms to be very noisy, the walls between guests are very thin (old building) and I was repeatedly woken up by people walking above, dragging their luggage etc. Also note that the rooms are very small, even by European standards.

The location was fantastic. Right in the middle of everything and easily walkable to everything. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is modern and not ornate old style. It was clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. All modern features like USB socket chargers. The breakfast had a mix of hot and cold and plenty of choice. The restaurant is largely inside: there are a few small tables outside which are nice for a drink were not inviting for dinner.

I chose a room with a grand canal view and it was fantastic. Also great to have somewhere to sit outside the hotel for a drink and watch the traffic. Great breakfast buffet selection. Was a bit of calm next to Rialto market and just far enough away from the madness of Rialto bridge.

The staff, including the desk staff and the women who served breakfast, were exceptionally helpful and approachable. They advised us on restaurants, the neighborhood, they arranged transportation to the airport, they managed the luggage - all with a smile.

We had a room on the 2. Floor with beautiful views over the grand Canal. The hotel is directly on the Canal and in the afternoon we enjoyed drinks and snacks on the terrace watching the Boats go by. Very romantic setting. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff when we needed anything. Close walking distance to lots of Restaurant and famous Landmarks.

The variety of the Breakfast Buffet was limited, but this is not really a dealbreaker.

Exceptional property located across the canal from the Ca D'Oro, with easy access to vaporetto, traghetto, train and bus. Modern, clean, with good quality toiletries and linens. Bidet in the bathroom with linen towels, what a touch!. They come to the room in the eve and set your slippers next to the bed... could live without that, but speaks of the little details. Breakfast buffet has everything, even bubbles, and tastes wonderful when you sip your coffee looking at the Grand Canal :) Staff is courteous and efficient. You can sit waterside in the afternoon/night to enjoy a drink from the bar. Rialto bridge is steps away; you can hop on #1 about 200 ft from the hotel to navigate the canal, or you can walk across the bridge (or pay 2Euros for a traghetto) and walk to Fondamenta Nove in 15 minutes for boats to Murano/Burano or the airport. Great value for a top quality property in this magic city. There is a shopping mall across the bridge, Tedeschi, with a terrace that offers great views of the city, make your reservation.

Just a comment about the message that the hotel sends with info about transfer and other services; it would be more useful to get it at least a month before the trip. I got it withing 2 days and I had made all arrangements but that time.

The staff went above and beyond from the moment we arrived. We were also spoilt with a bottle of Prosecco in our room, as it was our honeymoon - this was a simple but lovely touch. The room is comfortable and modern and the location is fantastic - not just central but I can't stress enough how wonderful the view from the front is. You pay massive premiums for the restaurants along the canals but at Hotel L'Orologio you get it every morning for breakfast and every evening for drinks. Highly recommended and the only place we'll stay for future visits to Venice!
