Every city is planned five ways, so the same three days can be a first-timer’s route or a slower one with children.

How our itineraries are put together
Every plan is written for one city and one way of travelling. The same three days in Lisbon are a different route for a first-time visitor than for a family with a five-year-old, so rather than one plan per city there are five, and you pick the one that matches the trip you are taking.
What a plan contains. Each day is a short list of stops in a sensible order, with a rough duration for each and a note on what to know before you arrive — when it is busiest, what to book, what to wear. The order is a suggestion rather than a timetable: drop a stop to shorten a day, or stay longer at the one you like.
What they are not. There are no prices here and no bookings inside the plan itself. Opening hours, routes and ticket prices change, so check them before you set off. Where a stop needs a ticket, the note says so.
When you have chosen a plan, the city guide behind it has the month-by-month weather, the areas worth staying in and the hotels on our own pages — live rates, no booking fee and instant confirmation.
