The hotel is beautiful.
After reading the reviews, we specifically requested a room on the second floor which is supposedly quieter. Even on the second floor, we have never stayed in such a noisy hotel! Between the noise of the inner court which made it impossible to sleep past 7am and the earthquake-like trembling of the floor every 20 mins when a train passed, it was simply impossible to rest well in this place...

Gorgeous property and good location. I understand it is over 500 years old! But felt very, very comfortable and clean.
Breakfast was advertised, but not available. The front office men were a little crabby/cool but the cleaning women were lovely and warm. .

It was about 6 blocks from the main plaza. Breakfast was warm but was not included. The room was basic and clean. The hotel was charming in appearance.
My bad, I didn’t realise there was no coffee maker or refrigerator in the room. Also we had to put something over the drain as it had a smell.

The staff was A+…A porter came out to our taxi to help with luggage and assisted us to our room. We arrived very early and were given access to our room without hesitation, hours ahead of check-in time. Very helpful in other ways (restaurants, taxis, etc). Location is close to downtown shops and a lovely park and church. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Cleaning service was excellent.
We have been staying at this hotel over the past 25 years. We were disappointed that the restaurant is no longer functioning. The area is not safe after dark and a hotel restaurant would have been so convenient. The toilet area was small. However it is a beautiful old hotel and we feel like it’s “home.”

The hotel feels safe and secure, in spite of the neighborhood, which isn't as safe as it might be. The room is adequate and the cleaning staff are very nice and always available.
I had stayed here in the past, before COVID. The hotel has declined in quality since then. The breakfast buffet was better in the past. The hours of operation were also more practical. Now the breakfast starts at 8 am, which is too late for many tourists.

Close to the cathedral and theater. The staff were friendly. The rooms were very clean. The style of the hotel was very nice. They offer trips, unfortunately I cannot say how good they are as we booked trips already.
The beds were kind of hard, the rooms did let in a lot of noise. The rooms did not have a hair dryer or iron, we had to go downstairs every morning to pick one up and then bring it back downstairs. They didn't offer breakfast.

The location of the hotel which is important for everyone traveling was very good.
I did not like the lack of cleanliness in the hotel, not fresh bedding and neglect of the building. Hot water appeared after a long time and the water pressure was low. Photos from the site do not reflect the real state. The hotel was depressing and gloomy like from Rob Zombie movies.

A very pleasant colonial building, lotsof beauty & history.
Very uncomfortable beds, I had 2 to choose from... All springs & hard.
Hot water & Water pressure left a lot to be desired.
Doors to outside balcony did not lock or close properly.
Very noisy due to old building (to be expected) but a little sound proofing under gaps in doors would go a long way methinks.

The room was very big and the bed was comfortable. The room was clean. The heavy drapes made it very dark for sleeping. The hotel was a nice colonial architectural style. Most of the staff were helpful. The place was not great, but it was a good price.
The first hotel clerk signing me in did not speak and said no one here speaks English, which was not true. There was no restaurant or any other amenities. The hotel had very high ceilings, which was nice to see, but made it an echo chamber when loud guests went back and forth to their rooms. The hotel was across a very small plaza from a night club and the noise would reverberate into my pillow until perhaps midnight.

I didn't like the fact that for four days the lock on the door didn't function from the outside of the door. We had to constantly go downstairs and get the front desk staff to come and reset the lock for four days. They never offered us a different room.
I demand a partial refund.

The location is perfect to visit the places of interest in the city center. The cost value ratio is appropriate for the venue. I was given earplugs after the first night without sleep due to loud music noise. The lady at the reservation desk has kindly helped me with a printout on her printer.
The heydays of this hotel lies far in the past. There was loud music noise from a club across the street until 2am every night during my 3 nights stay.
