I loved the supremely comfortable bed!! Also loved the well appointed little kitchenette and the beautiful herbal toiletries.

The absence of a reading light beside the bed, as I felt I disturbed my friend and roommate sleep by having to use the overhead lighting since no small bedside light was provided.

It was a nicely refurbished room and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was awesome.

The open shower got everything wet. Cool design but not practical. The staff seemed to have a really hard time understanding that with our party, while needing 3 rooms only had 2 cars.

We stayed in the King Suite Harbour Lounge Access with Harbour View room on the 23rd floor, and as we expected, (having stayed here before) the suite comprised three rooms in total, all large, all spacious, and all light and airy with amazing views out over the CBD. IN the bedroom, the bed is huge and incredibly comfortable, there is lots of hanging space for clothes, and plenty of out of the way space to store your suitcases, the bathroom is big, with big tub, big shower, and big vanity, with there is a separate wc. In the separate lounge space, there is a tv, table and chairs for working, table and chairs for dining, lounges and coffee table for relaxing, and with a dedicated bar fridge, sink and benchtop area, coffee or entertaining are accommodated. And all rooms have huge picture windows framing the views over Wellington and beyond. All of Wellington is within an easy 20 to 30 minute walk from the hotel, and there are a number of tours, experiences, pubs, bars and restaurants that are easily accessible. The Hotel has its own restaurant and bar/restaurant, the continental and cooked breakfasts are served buffet style with a chef providing fresh cooked eggs any way you like. The food is a good quality and there is plenty of it. Evening meals are well curated, and of a very good quality, but limited in their range, especially after three nights.

When we stayed here in 2018, one of the perks of this particular room was access to the Level 26 "Harbour Lounge" room, and every afternoon, they serves free canapes and drinks, and we enjoyed meeting other clients, at the end of each day to converse, and socialise, and share stories about our days. However, this perk has sadly been dropped - the room is still there, it still features free snacks, soft drinks, tea and coffee, but it no longer draws people together at the end of the day, and for me, this was something of an anti-climax, and I hadn't realised that I had been so looking forward to it.

A mostly modern and very comfortable room and bed with beautiful bathroom amenities, lovely staff and very easy lift access to the central shopping and business district

We didn’t prefer the carpark facility which we paid via the hotel which was a lot cheaper than if we’d had to pay Wilson’s directly. However, it is very old and doesn’t fit today’s modern sized cars very well. Our car was a full size suv and to fit in the carbay, all passengers needed to get out first, and then it took a few “to and fro” goes to align the car in the tiny space with about a third hanging out. Entering and leaving via the ramps was also tricky. Wasn’t too impressed with Whitby’s restaurant either. High and overpriced with below standard food unfortunately. Plus the cafe in the lobby has signage everywhere for drinks and nibbles and Happy Hour and we found out you have to have your drinks in the main restaurant at Whitby’s as the cafe is closed… There is nothing to say this is the case, as there are menus on all the tables displaying their drinks and snacks with large tvs, etc. plus they advertise a particular bonus inclusion for each night of the week at Whitby’s restaurant on the signage however, when we asked for the free glass of wine with the salmon meal we ordered and as advertised, we were told it would have to be beer. Even when we told them that their sign says a glass of wine is included, they still insisted it would have to be beer. In the end we were ok with this but it is very misleading and not correct.
