Tantalo Hotel - Kitchen - Roofbar - Panama City

Tántalo Hotel is not a place you simply pass through, it’s the social heart of Casco Viejo. For over 14 years, our iconic rooftop has been a landmark in Panama City, offering panoramic skyline views, DJs seven nights a week, live music, and an atmosphere that can be felt from the streets below. Beneath it all is our boutique hotel, featuring 10 individually designed rooms each a livable work of art curated by Panamanian artists alongside Alura, our restaurant where Panamanian flavors meet global influences.

Located just two minutes from the Metropolitan Cathedral, Tántalo sits in the very center of the UNESCO listed Casco Viejo. Our bilingual staff (English and Spanish) are on hand to assist you, breakfast is available, and in house guests enjoy preferential access to the rooftop. Tántalo is designed for social travelers.

If the idea of heading upstairs to enjoy Panamanian music, connect with locals and fellow travelers, and experience Casco Viejo as it’s truly lived excites you, then you’ll feel right at home here. If you’re seeking a quiet retreat, there are more suitable hotels nearby and we’ll be happy to recommend them. Tántalo is a lifestyle hotel with a vibrant nightlife culture.

Music plays on the rooftop daily. While we’ve invested in soundproofing and offer quieter rooms on lower floors (which can be requested at booking), guests who are especially sensitive to noise may find another option more comfortable. Come as you are, Casco Viejo’s energy is waiting.
