- We liked just the fact that it was in Albufeira. - The woman from reception was really nice trying to solve different issues we encounter, but just her. - Free parking - Wifi good

- Breakfast was really bad. Very very limited options, and the taste was not good at all. After a few days you want to not eat always the same thing. - towels not clean and smelling bad even if they were changed. One day we took one towel at the beach and when we come back we found no towels. Reception said they put no towels anymore because we took one at the beach. Even if I was tired, I had to go in the other building where there was reception to convince them to give me towels - Very dirty hotel, I also attached some pictures. - In the building we were accommodated there were a lot of signs with 3 stars, even if we booked it because of being 4 stars. I think they accommodated us in an auxiliary free building that was 3 stars. - No shower gel after the initial one was consumed - Staff attitude worse even. They had just water on the included breakfast, so I took one Coca Cola from an open fridge close to my table thinking it’s free, but after I eat, the waiter started yelling aggressively at me that I should pay 2euros for cola. - Furniture very old, room was looking horrible. Not like in the picture.

Excellent location. Approx. 10 minute walk to the beach. Lots of excellent restaurants very close by and also by the beach. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in a quieter location this will be perfect. Our apartment was clean and a really good size for the two of us. The balcony was a good size and had a nice view over the pool area. We had a fantastic time and would definitely return.

There is very little that was negative about this property. The only criticism we have is that the people above us were moving furniture around at night (around 12:30am) which disturbed our sleep.

The location was very central and easy to find as well as a prime location to visit many attractions locally. Faro, aqua show and albufeira centre are all a stones throw from this place and the olhos beach is only 4 minutes away by walking

The food facilities were shocking. Good very poor especially for the price. I ordered the chicken burger, it came with a tiny oily grey patty and no salad. The bread was hard and not buttered and just stuck together with a cocktail stick and black olive. Waste of time. Food was very poor. Chips were crunchy but not potato filled just very budget. When informed staff that food was not enjoyed and not acceptable. Told not to come back and to eat elsewhere by the supervisor. Very rude man who spoke to his colleagues in Portuguese whilst I dealt with him which I found very rude and made me feel belittled as I couldn’t reply back

We had a lovely rooftop terrace. The room was cleaned daily. The staff were friendly and nice. The air conditioning was good to have on the hotter days. There's a supermarket next door. Theres about 10 restaurants within 5 mins of the hotel

A large hen party group was a bit noisy and messy around the pool towards the middle of our stay there. Guests put towels on loungers and then disappear for the day - why do people do that?

Oceanus is a well located, very clean and well maintained development. It is quite compact and features two small outdoor pools which can get busy quite quickly. The development is very close to the small Olhos de Agua beach, which about a 5 minute walk down quite a steep hill. The town is very quiet and pleasant in comparison to similar nearby towns and does not have a rowdy nightlife. The room we had was clean in line with the rest of the resort. Staff were generally very helpful.

I would rather have paid more upfront and not had additional charges for just about everything - towels, safe keys, breakfast and so on. At the time we stayed, there were a few guests who were in the habit of returning very late in a loud manner. Our room wasn't of fantastic design and some features were a bit strange - for example the air conditioning cuts out when the balcony doors are opened, but because of the design of the locks, if one person wants to sit on the balcony, you have to effectively lock them out if you want to have the A/C on inside. There were also doors dividing the bedroom from the living space that didn't open fully making them pretty pointless. The live music act that was hired on one night was of questionable quality, and was clearly audible in our room - although it didn't go on very late. There seemed to be an ongoing and tiresome practice of guests reserving sun loungers at the pool and then disappearing for the whole day. With relatively small pools, this got very old very quickly.

No coffe mashine in the studio despite the website claiming that room is equipped in one. Also no complimentary tea bags or sugar, having to buy big package of sugar and tea was bit of waste considering that we would have just few cups throughout the stay. Our arrival was delayed by one day due to flight cancellations. It was a chaotic journey and we were super tired. On second day before arriving I requested if staff could keep some breakfast for us which was refused saying that breakfast is only served in the specific times. I am not talking about full plate of hot food but literally a croissant and juice would make us feel a lot more welcome, adding that we have paid for it. I have travelled to many places whether that was Dubai or Indonesia even 3 stars hotels if we were leaving very early but have paid for the services the hotels always offered some cold snacks from the breakfast.

This is a reasonably priced, 3 star aparthotel with large rooms in a nice resort. The roomsize makes up for the fact that it's probably overdue a renovation and it suited us as we were a family with 2 young children. We were looking at all locations near Faro/ Albufeira and during our stay we visited all the main resorts - by accident we'd chosen this one (Olhos de Agua) - it's MUCH nicer than the other resorts (Albufeira and Vilamoura I'd imagined would be nice but they were really not nice or even safe feeling).

We booked the standard room - DO NOT DO THIS! They're all on the busy back of the building right on the main road to Albufeira that all the traffic uses. Couldn't sleep. We upgraded to the identical rooms on the pool side of the building the next day and all was ok - though it cost us an extra 180Euro (ie so when booking on booking.com don't go for the basic ones).

Spacious room, well equipped kitchen area, and friendly staff. The hotel is in a quiet area, but it's easy to get a taxi and explore nearby places. It cost us around €9 to go to the Old Town. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options. And there's a nearby supermarket.

Arrived very early (Flight times) and expected to wait but no......another room exactly the same was ready and we could go straight to it. Great facilities which we didn't fully take advantage of. Great hotel with good space to have a relaxing holiday. There are 2 areas with outdoor pools and places to eat and drink next to them. There is also an indoor pool where you need to wear a swim cap but it is a great place to have a swim. The rooms have enough facilities to eat breakfast and do simple meals. Lot's of facilities nearby, lovely beach within walking distance. Albufeira shopping centre was just an uber away.

Only little pain was the Inside swimming pool, it was lovely but you had to buy a swimming hat, hire the hotels towels plus a deposit to be be able to use it, which is fine but it had to be cash, so we had to walk to a cash machine to get cash.

Nice clean apartment with well equipped kitchen. Plenty of hot water. Nice reception staff. The breakfast is nice and the staff there friendly. Nice clean area with good choice of restaurants.

The beds were a little hard, but that’s a personal thing. We had an apartment by the little pool in block B and unfortunately loud tinny music plays for most of the day. It’s not the music that’s the problem it’s the very poor quality sound system. Steep hill to the beach unless you go right round, just be aware.

Large apartment with balcony, cupboards, fully equipped kitchen, bedroom with two beds and a sofa bed in the living room. Cleaned thoroughly every day. Large shower cabin very comfy to use, soft, large, white towels for each guest. Swimming pool accessible by room card, free regular sunbeds, snack bar. Bus stop 6 with schedule right in front but taxi is way faster/ easier to get into Albufeira old town, approx. 10-15 EUR at the moment. Beach 5 minutes by foot downhill (it's less painful to climb back up). Many restaurants nearby, great supermarket 250m, visited every day. 24/7 reception arranges everything from Faro airport transfer (40/ 50 EUR day/ night) through day trips to Seville/ Lisbon to dolphin watching and cave boat trips.

It was all great, only last night the hairdryer decided to try to kill me. Informed the hotel, they confirmed they would take care of it.

All round nice place to stay,we were self catering,had most of the stuff needed for this, but no egg flipper,but that's no issue as got one from the Chinese shop across the road, the location was good plenty of places to eat and drink.

Really clean place and extremely nice staff. The beach is a 5 min walk (downhill) and there are nice restaurants and supermarkets in the vicinity.

The kitchen needs a sponge and some detergent. The hotel is a bit dated but the price makes up for that.

The pool was very nice and I thought it was so lovely that the hotel provided floaties to use. The staff was so kind and helpful any time we had questions about the area and any activities we wanted to book.

Hotel was ok only. Some annoying issues, were that the outdoor pool closed at 6.30pm sharp. I've never witnessed this ever before. The indoor pool closed at 7pm sharp. Towels went rentable at €2 per towel a day only. Room towels were replaced strictly only every second day. Even if they were all wet and dirty and left on the base of the shower, the rule was you could only have fresh towels every second day. As it was very warm and we were showing multiple times a day, I asked at the end of the 2nd day for fresh towels at reception, the lady explained they were changed every 2 days only. I mentioned I needed a fresh towel and would try and catch the cleaner in the corridor and the lady simply shrugged her shoulders. (little did i know at the time-they was a laundry room in reception full of fresh towels, it certainly wouldn't have killed the receptionist to offer me 1 towel swap!) Breakfast was poor-probably the worst I've ever seen in a hotel. Location was good and the Village itself was good.

Amazing staff, working hard, always there to help, the heart of the establishment, well located. Close to beach, supermarkets and many restaurants. Big choice of breakfast, however if you stay longer can be boring. Amazing vegetable soup:) and great cocktails

Need some refurbishment to be the standard of a 4 star hotel, also they want to charge you additional for towels around pool and to have safe in your own room??? That's a minimum even in a 3 star hotel, pool could be cleaned more frequently. Thought will be more luxurious for 4 star

Oceanus is the hotel we escape to. It is such a special place for us, the location, the ambiance and the staff make it the perfect place to stay.

The fact that it now seems to be popular with the “let’s put our towels on the sun beds at the crack of dawn and disappear for breakfast” group. This was never a “thing” in the past and we have been going to Oceanus since 2009.

The staff were so friendly and good humoured. They were very helpful. The apartment was really nice. The breakfast was very nice. The entertainment was very good. There was nothing negative at all. Just a short distance to the beaches ⛱️

There was nothing I didn't like apart from the weather wasn't very good for our stay but the hotel had no part to play in that.

I had a most wonderful stay and an excellent time at the Oceanus Aparthotel. The snack bar where I had breakfast and lunch was superb and the customer service from Ialio, Miguel and Filip was terrific! Also the Chefs and other waiting staff provided highly efficient service. Jacqueline and Claudia on Reception were so gracious. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We choose this location as it was 15 minutes away from where we were staying, which was horrific, the noise levels all night made it impossible to sleep. Arriving at the Oceanus was similar to arriving in the Maldives from Beirut! It was such a welcome relief to finally have a good nights sleep. The reception staff are amazing, explaining local facilities nearby etc. The only very minor negative point is that the air con could be better, but the other facilities on offer outweigh any negatives. We will be back
