Quite disappointed with the room,not a great view of the rear of the hotel,twin beds I thought I'd booked a double room only one chair to sit apart from the beds bedding was slightly dated although they kept it very clean bathroom was excellent apart from the sink plug not holding water

I loved every minute of my stay here. The rooftop terrace is fab for watching the sunrise and sunsets, you're right on the beach too. There's so many transport options to bring you into the city centre but the location of the hotel has a lot to offer too with a beautiful park nearby and lots of places to drink and eat. Best part was Carlos the barman in the roof top bar, Carlos you rock!!

This hotel is close to the beach. It's just a short walk from the 500 route bus stop that takes you to the Centre of Porto. It was a nice relaxing space to return to every night. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. There's great variety for breakfast. I would recommend a stay here.....

The hotel is very nicely located just steps away from the ocean side, with a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants around. We really enjoyed our stay because the hotel is clean, comfortable and has good variety of food for breakfast.
There were only very tiny details that I could name as disadvantages: our room didn't have a balcony which is not very convenient if you want to dry wet towels after spending time on the ocean side. Also, I found the pillows not comfortable but this is just my personal opinion. Other than that, everything was very nice!

I like all the things there. Location is close to the seaside, there's amazing sunset everyday, and is far from the main city, it a perfect place for holidays. Room has a good view and enough sunshine, every morning I woke up with the sunshine. Breakfast is more than expected, considring with the price of room, they supply fresh fruits /coffe and all kinds of local food.
The only thing could be improved is the lift, it feels a little bit scary sometimes, but it works well throughout the days I stay.

We chose this hotel to relax and celebrate New Year's, and I can say for certain that I really liked this hotel. It was very clean and very warm. All the furniture was fresh in the sense that it looked good and was fully functional. The room was very warm, which was so important to me. Cold is very harmful for me and I was endlessly happy that the room was warm. I would even say hot. The hotel is located near the ocean and the promenade. A small park is also nearby. The location is beautiful. Breakfast was included and I can say it was very tasty and there was plenty to choose from. I liked it. Additionally, the hotel has a gym, but we didn't use it. And there's a rooftop pool, but since it was January, we didn't go swimming in it x).
If you're planning to go to Porto for New Year's, my advice to you is to bring warm clothes. At night, there's a cold wind, and if you want to go for walks, you'd better dress very warmly. Personally, I made this mistake and didn't bring warm clothes with me. Therefore, on January 1st, after a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we went to sleep and rest in our room because I absolutely didn't want to walk in the cold. And I didn't regret at all that we stayed in the room. Recommended. I would stay there again.

The hotel was undergoing renovation and I was subjected to constant drilling in the area directly below my room. I endured the noise until 5pm when I called reception and I was told that it was the contractors and that they would not do anything. There was no notification either on the Booking.com or Hotel site of any works. Unacceptable situation with downright rudeness from the staff on reception. In addition there was a constant loud humming noise all night from a fan of some sort.

Well presented and clean. Really helpful and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Could have been a 4 star hotel. Rooms well appointed. Location good with a 5 min walk to the beach, and just 20min bus ride to downtown Porto. A few great little restaurants within easy walking distance too.
Pity the hotel pool is unheated (visited in March when weather cold and wet). Could do with some coat hooks by the bedroom door for hanging up wet coats. Mattress great, but pillows uncomfortable, but that is just personal preference.

Hotel location was perfect! 3min walk to the beach. Bus stops are very close by. Shops and supermarket within 5-10min stroll. As a solo traveller, we tend to be allocated rooms with views of a car park or a wall, but I could see the sea and the sunset from my room! The bathroom was spacious, shower had very good pressure. There was a small fridge in the room (it made no sound) which was handy as I have food intolerances.
The only sad thing about the room is the bed pillows were smaller than standard, like a child size. I had 3 of them, so I managed with them during my short stay.

We loved the location and the view was fantastic. It's a nice hotel. Nearest-to-room elevator didn't work, but that was not a problem. Our only complaint was the lack of promised wifi in our room.
There was no wifi in our room, which was quite inconvenient for our needs. We finally went to the breakfast room and the manager let us stay as long as he could before he had to lock up as we tried to figure out where we wanted to travel from Portugal. I couldn't get the front desk interested in solving the problem. We don't usually need much in the way of service, but we asked several different people to solve our wifi problem and got nowhere. That is not to say that we wouldn't recommend the hotel; we would -- it has lots going for it and we could have been the only ones not being able to get wifi.

This property is in a very quiet location so if you want action and great restaurants this is not it, but it is very pretty and relaxing.
The property is a little tired and could use a major update, or at least new carpet and duvets. The carpet is very dirty and the bedspreads look like they have been around since the hotel first opened.

Location was outstanding. Staff were courteous, helpful, pleasant, and thoughtful from check-in to check-out.
The room was not exceptional, but it was more than adequate with every desired need filled. We had a fabulous view and a "double" balcony, although it was not wide enough for furniture. It was, however, wide enough to pop outside to check on the weather and take in the view of the River Douro and the Atlantic Ocean.
Breakfast was ample-- a great selection of food kept in abundance throughout the breakfast service, which went until 11:00 a.m.
We also loved the rooftop deck, pool, and Bar Panoramico.
Absolutely nothing. We were pleased all around.

Excellent range of food for breakfast; room pleasant. Location great for access to beach and walking. Helpful staff. well sited for public transport; easy run into town.
Not being able to take our own food on to the roof terrace.
I found this location to be a reprieve and easily accessible to more nature which I needed since I am not a big city person. Porto is lovely, but a bit overwhelming and this was a respite in the midst of lots of people.
Breakfast wasnt great. I am gluten and dairy intolerant. I have yet to find any place that offers a great veggie omelette.

Nice location close to the ocean (5 min walk to the beach), good enough breakfast, some staff are super friendly. Nice view from the roof top.
Unfortunately, all common areas aren't smoking free. It's impossible to enjoy the roof top terrace and swimming pool as someone always smokes there. Also, people smoked right in front of the hotel and the smoke came to the room if you have open windows.
There's a fish restaurant nearby and when they cook, again it's impossible to have windows open.
It would be great to have more variety during breakfast, not the same every day.
The pool's side walls were yellow/dirty, could be great to do better cleaning.
Also , the pool is quite cold in July, with water temperature around 23-24 degrees according to their thermostat .
The hotel doesn't provide iron...
Also, the sheets are so inconvenient. Instead of providing a proper blanket cover, they put it between two sheets and they keep sliding when you sleep.

Perfect location for exploring Foz. The room and public spaces were kept immaculately clean.
While definitely comfortable, it was pretty basic. The breakfast was nothing special. The bathroom amenities were pretty much motel quality. The bedding ok but not particularly nice

The hotel is old (charm of the 80’s), the staff is friendly, but not very motivated. The breakfast is good, but in no way special or extraordinary. The opportunity to eat in house in the evening is very limited (convenient food)

The hotel was beautiful and the location was good..
The staff, specifically the blonde woman at the front desk did not like Americans and she was super rude to my family on numerous occasions. In addition our rental car was vandalized and robbed while parked in front of the hotel.

Location close to the beach was amazing. Lovely breakfast with delicious coffee. Lots of good food choices. Liked make up mirror in bathroom. Rain shower head weak water spray but water wand worked well.
Walls are thin so can hear neighbors.

This is one of the very best hotels in Porto - right by the sea, close to restaurants, yet in a quiet neighborhood. It is an absolute treasure of a hotel. The pool, seating area and views of the ocean are an absolute blessing. Breakfast was wonderful, the staff could not be more helpful, and our room, though modest was so comfortable and clean.

The location is perfect for the coast! Beautiful Panoramic views from the rooftop… Perfect for sunsets. Pool & cafe also on the roof. Close to the beaches, cafes, pub & grocery. Room had a retro feel, was clean & sufficient, good AC. Night staff was friendly.
Bed was old, hard & uncomfortable. Could hear neighbors every time they opened & closed doors.

The hotel itself was noisy. We got a lot of
Street noise. We were there for 5 nights and they put us in a handicapped room. Why?
I went down to reception and they didn’t much care.
One night there was a loud occupant above us. I went down to reception at midnight and told them to handle it. We wanted to sleep! The receptionist called the room and no one answered so he simply said he couldn’t do anything. WHAT?
I asked what his solution was and he said I needed to go up and confront the guest. WHAT!!
So I did. And the noise stopped. But still, are you kidding me?

Lovely hotel - best one if my trip. Has beatiful blue tiled entry (very Portugal) and rooftop space to sit outside and view the sea and old castle. Very good breakfast with eggs, cooked sausage, and lots of pastries.

There was a new gal and Brazilian guy at the front desk who were so nice, personable and helpful - not like your stuffy, personality-less staff wer’e so used to seeing these days. We stayed here upon arriving in Portugal when our apartment was not yet ready. We will highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting who aren’t staying with us.
