Hotel is nice, our room was very spacious, comfortable, right at the top of the hotel, so it also had a huge terrace with deckchairs and a view of Porto street, it was very quiet, no noise. The room had plenty of space for storing luggage, a water heater and a coffee machine. The bed is very big and comfortable. The bathroom is also spacious, it also has a bidet. The location of the hotel is great, it was easy to walk to the touristic part of Porto. We parked for free on the street around the hotel. The receptionist was very friendly.
The breakfast looked very basic at first, but in the end I ate my fill and it turned out that all the most important dishes are available, but still the breakfast could be improved. There were boiled eggs, cheese, butter, fresh bread, jam, orange, pineapple, the coffee was good, they had a pancake machine and fresh orange juice, cereal, yogurt...

As my room was just off the elevator, it was easy to hear people speaking while they were waiting on it.

The hotel, though modest in its offerings, is situated in a convenient location. However, one notable drawback is the small size of the bathrooms, which may pose a discomfort for guests. The elevators are cramped, the parking area is located quite a distance away and lacks practicality, and the bathrooms are disproportionately small in size.

We travelled by car and the hotel was easy to find on a main road. Reception staff were most helpful and directed us to the underground hotel car park. The hotel is probably within walking distance of the Douro and Old Town but it was very wet during our visit so we had to use the nearby Metro station. Breakfast was good and the hotel was very clean. Receptionist recommended an excellent restaurant called Carpa a couple of hundred yards up the street.
The double bed was very small and the a/c pilot light was far too bright so we were reluctant to use it and the room therefore became very hot.

It is on the Gaia side of the river but right beside the Metro and a fantastic department store. The department store has an excellent food court that is open until 10/ 11 p.m. every night. The staff are helpful and polite and the 24 hour reception was a lifesaver when my early morning flight was cancelled because of fog.
The coffee at breakfast wasn’t good but breakfast is pretty good overall. Well done to the staff.???

The staff was great, the room had all it needed and was quiet and clean. The breakfast was nice and varied. They have an indoor garage to park the car (with a daily fee) which is very handy. The position is great because you can easily reach Porto with the metro, or be on the road for a car day-trip. Close by there is a mall and some nice cafes.

What an excellent hotel in an excellent location - for walking or bus or tram travel.
Just one tiny thing - I have designed two bathrooms with shower baths in the last 5 years, and agree that a movable plug is a much better option than a pop-up or click waste - which would snag the feet of the majority of people who prefer to shower.
But a nice shiny chrome plug would look much nicer than a black plastic one (but cost twice as much - UK approx € 4) and complete the finish to a very smart bathroom

It’s an excellent hotel. My room was big, very clean and comfortable. It’s a good location, there are restaurants, shops and supermarkets around, and it’s near to city centre. The breakfast is huge, with a great variety of food, worth the price. Enjoyable experience!

The price was great! In fact the hotel web site says "... the hotel is characterized by a simple and functional decoration, designed entirely for the comfort of the guests" so you are not getting the most luxurious hotel at this price. But at the price I paid, this is an excellent value. The location is great! It is one block from to the Porto Metro station named João de Deus, and a 10 minute ride on the Metro takes you to downtown Porto for sightseeing and restaurants. Walking around near the hotel was very safe, lots of restaurants and shops, and even sightseeing near the hotel was great — see photo attached of the Mosteiro (Monastery) Santo Agostinho da Serra do Pilar, about a one mile walk down the main street of Vila Nova de Gaia toward the Douro River.
I write this complaint about almost every hotel. I cannot drink real milk, and I would love some plant milk so I could have cereal for breakfast, but there was none. The rest of the breakfast was fine, pastries, eggs, meats.

- The staff was welcoming, polite, and very pleasant.
- Everything was clean with a mild, delightful fragrance.
- Good bathroom with a great shower that wouldn't leak.
- My room was placed on an upper floor, which was really appreciated.
- Quiet and peaceful.
- The bed was very uncomfortable, the mattress was stiff and overall unpleasant.
- There was an empty minibar fridge that was supposedly turned off, but was emitting heat (?). The fridge was inside the bedside table, and everything on top of it would get hot. I had a lip balm that ended up melting.
- The air conditioning didn't work (it would turn on and automatically turn off a few seconds later), and even though it was January and cold, the room was very hot. Good thing that it was cold outside and I kept the window open for a few hours. Otherwise it would be impossible to sleep there. Beware if you are visiting with warm weather.

No bath/shower mat in the bathroom. No handles on the wall and edge of the bath to make it easier for elderly people to get up out of the bath.

A couple more news channels in English would have been a bonus.
3 min walk to metro and Il Corte Englaise Department store with huge Supermarket. Also Food Hall options and restaurant.
Ask for a quiet room when booking.

The location is excellent for visiting Porto and the bodegas in Gaia. Only 60metres from the metro station and 2€ into Porto. All areas were clean with daily room service. Reception staff very helpful.
Whilst all areas were clean I did see in my room that the corners in the bathroom by the shower screen had been missed or were becoming rusty. Only a small point.

Excellent accommodation on the transit line for quick and easy access to downtown and the staff were very helpful and friendly!

Staff was helpful and friendly. They let me check in earlier than the scheduled time as the room was ready.
Good location. Metro station is located just 80m away. 4 stops to the historic centre and São Bento station. There is also a El Corte Inglés besides the station with food court underground.
Breakfast was a bit simple, but still good.

Very conveniently located and comfortable small hotel, with very accommodating staff and very nice breakfast. I especially appreciated the freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast. Beds were comfortable. Room was not large, but was fine for a short stay.
