The Sea is a beautiful, small resort located on the north side of Koh Samui. The suites were spacious and well appointed. There is a small restaurant on site and a nice breakfast can be included. The Sea is a bit remote although there are some restaurants that you can walk to along the beach.

The Sea is a bit remote and you need a taxi or car to really get anywhere. Its about 20 min from Fisherman's Village which is a nice area to go out

The pool and the beach. Our appartement was well equiped and clean. Great view.

The restaurant/Bar. Food/Cocktail had no taste and was expensive. We even spotted outdated milk at breakfast. It's sad because that's exactly what make you want to stay at hotel : bar and restaurant. Here it's so bad that no one chilling around the pool (it's great, but not for the good reasons ahah) Also the hotel overlooks the main road of the island, and there is nothing around the hotel.

Air conditioner left big puddle on floor on the first day. i slipped on it at 5 am in the dark. maintenance men fixed with tape and the next day it started leaking again. it has obviously leaked multiple times before judging by the condition of the trap door and the repainting around this area. i requested both days to change rooms but even though one sea view room was available on the first day i was told it was booked . i asked to be moved to this one and the new people to go into ours but was refused. i did ask for some compensation on the first day but was ignored. on the 2nd day i was told they would provide a free ride to the airport. Breakfast was disappointing but the lunch /evening meals were ok. There was also a big stain on the doona cover and this was replaced after i requested it. the doors on the kitchen cupboards were old and disintegrating and i used the open bin in the bathroom rather than open these cupboards. The remote control of the A/C in the bedroom was missing but provided upon request. no TV channels.

Modern, uncomplicated, tasteful and well thought through. The apartments are lovely, some with private pools others with hot-tub/plunge pools. All amenities you’d expect for a 5 star hotel. Staff were always smiling, professional and extra helpful. I selfishly don’t speak Thai, so their English was both humbling & well appreciated. The beach, a whopping 5 metres from the pool is absolutely idilic, warm seas & otherworldly red-hot sunsets. A couple of beachside handy & traditional restaurants nearby which are excellent and bursting with fresh seafood. And lunch by the pool coupled with the impeccable service is well worth a lazy day at the hotel topped off by a dreamy massage.

Honestly nothing I ‘didn’t like’. We were lucky that April is not so busy so on some days, we had the place to ourselves. Can’t speak for high season.

The property is located in a good area that not to0 close or too far from main attractions point. The beach side is good for morning walk. Love the green along the way to the restaurant. We love our rooms just perfect for 2+2 Washing machine and drying machine is so convenient.

Overall staff interaction with guests could be improved . They either greet without smiling or just ignore you and just focus on their work or talk amongst their colleagues. 1 room key per 4 persons stay is not convenient. We were rejected with the request for 2nd key. Also the door is so difficult to open. We were charged for mini bar that we didn’t consume. The front dest took it out of the bill for us finally. The pool looks dirty. Other guests get into the pool without cleaning first. We were asked for room number on our third morning at restaurant for breakfast which seems weird. The gym equipments are rotten and falling apart and seems left uncared. There was no water filled in the fridge and 1 towel fold left in the tray. There should be some alcohol provided for cleaning after used .

We didn't like anything...the rooms are old and outdated. Dirty and broken furniture stained bathrooms Breakfast was a joke..everything was cold and the sausages weren't even sausages. They did try and offer us a villa which was kind of them but it was the same issue, everything was old and the kitchen pans and oven were rusty. We had to leave early. We were booked for 3 weeks and stayed for 2 nights. I was sorry for the staff they are working with an old hotel that needs completely renovating from top to bottom. There's no way this hotel should 4 star on booking.com

It was really quiet and very nice, the staff was really amazing and they really took care of us.

At first when we arrived there was a problem with our booking, then our jacuzzi didn’t work, we were really upset, the staff worked on the jacuzzi and had it fixed and the manager decided to give us breakfast free of charge so it worked out in the end .

Housekeeping part. Poor. Room very dirty. 0 details. Really disappointed. Rooms need renovation ASAP. Dirty cushions,dirty linen on the bed. Old and ripped linen and towels. Dirty spots in the room(shower,couch,dust,night tables etc). After we pass the info to the FO. They offered us to move in a villa -big distance room to pool ,not privacy as we wished. Not comfy even was a ""villa"" . We comfort by refreshing our room ,something that really didn't went as we hoped. Coming back. Linen changed but still Dirty room. They offered us only a transfer to the port. Too cheap for the 4* that we paid. Really not value for money at all.

Beautiful sea and palm tree view from room. Spacious room (suite) with shower and jacuzzi. I was dining on my own and staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Mr A and his lovely team! Great breakfast selection. Good room service. I chose as only 20 mins from the wonderful Samui Elephant Haven, truly ethical rescue centre linked to the famous Elephant Nature Park, Chiang Mai. No riding or forced bathing (causes fungal growth for elephants); the hotel has leaflets. Elephant Haven will arrange transport.

The pool and staff were super lovely.

My room was huge!! Massive bed, slept well as it was there was a separate internal space to the living room and could close doors but it had no windows. The living room and bathroom were on the road as was the balcony and the road noise was almost unbearable. Blinds in all the windows were very dusty - but clearly there as it was very over looked without them. I was expecting 5 star…..it really wasn’t.

Only booked here because dog friendly.. I'm sure they are other hotel that are also dog friendly. We book the wrong place

Everything was terrible here..these people have no idea how to run a hotel. From awful layout of room, thin wall, noisy, terrible location, awful breakfast..the staff wasn't helpful.. ask to rent motorbike for 3 days. They call someone who have really old bikes and try to get extra money from us, saying the tire was flat..when we got it like that and had to fill air everyday. When check out we ask for taxi to pier...we had to pay the hotel which mean they get commission. Charge us more money than when we call our own taxi.. just don't stay here..

Great location by the beach, quiet and private but with easy access to busier and livelier parts of the island. Very big, quiet and comfortable rooms with lovely sea views. Warm and friendly staff. Breakfast was reasonable. Great for family and kids.

All was good - parking was a little limited but alternative parking was available by the road.

I upgraded us to a villa. The other rooms are old and outdated, they are clean and spacious but not luxury. Upgrading was the best decision!! Place was clean and obviously alot of improvements going on to get back to the 5 star rating.

We booked one room for two persons and we got access to two rooms Like: The view on the sea during breakfast The room was equipped with a washing machine and a dryer Dislike: Certainly the hotel had its charm years ago, but now all is old not well maintained. For breakfast the selection of cheese and sausage was during the entire stay the same and from a very low quality. The coffee making machine never functioned reliable.

We had a fantastic time at the resort! The view from our room was absolutely beautiful and made the entire experience even more relaxing. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the services provided were excellent throughout our stay. Everything was well-maintained, and we really enjoyed the peaceful environment and overall vibe of the place. It was a perfect getaway, and we’d definitely love to come back again. Everything! The food at breakfast was smaller than other buffets but still a good selection and had great flavour. The staff were fantastic couldn't be more attentive and mr A was fantastic and entertained the children. We had a leak in the ceiling after heavy rain and the staff couldn't be more apologetic despite it not being their fault we were upgraded into a presidential villa and all our food and drink for the trip was discounted. The day trips were more reasonably priced than 3rd party companies and very good. Location was and beach was lovely approx 20 mins from main fisherman's village. Definitely going back

Very clean, quiet and quite fast in responding to queries. Beach is almost private, nice and affordable massage place next to the property.

90% of staff barely speaks English. The property itself is quite outdated. Electricity is working with interruptions sometimes. Air cons are working but sometimes need to be repaired. The variety of breakfast can be improved. Gym equipment need to be upgraded.

+ The staff is extremely friendly and polite. You feel welcomed. The view from our apartment is amazing and the apartment is huge. Big advantage was a washing machine and a dryer. The common pool was very pleasant. The massages in the adjoining property were amazing. Obviously the climate is amazing and the sea is warm in April.

- The staff even at the reception has problem to communicate in English. The food is of an average quality and not an amazing choice for breakfast. Aircon in our room stopped working in some rooms and the staff were not able to fix it. The decor is old and needs a lot of refreshing. The sea is quite cloudy and muddy and the beach is quite small. The area around is quite shabby.

The resort has a very private beach... Nice property. The room was beautiful. Staffs are nice and always greeted.

The location is very far from any shop. On the highway and nothing close by. Difficult for a family. No transport. The hotel arranged transport asked for an exorbitant price.

We were looking for a peaceful place to relax by the beach, and this was perfect! Away from the busier parts of the island and with a nice beach which was fine for wading even at lower tide. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the staff were so kind and hospitable. The beach bar and restaurant had average prices for the island, but a nice happy hour with buy 1 get 1.

A little far from the closest 7/11- about 10-15 minute walking. But very easy to catch a grab from here.

Our stay at The Sea Koh Samui Resort was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt surrounded by warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. This beachfront property is what dreams are made of. The staff is phenomenal, the rooms were spacious, and the food onsite was delicious!

That we couldn’t stay longer… no fault of theirs, of course, we just should have planned ahead better to enjoy more time there.
