I stay at this hotel every December, the hotel provides peace and quiet, the staff are so helpful, warm and welcoming to guests.
The hotel is well run, very clean, the rooms are warm and cosy.
The food is excellent, cooked to a high standard and well presented.
The beds are comdortable.
Cooked breakfast is excellent, staff are very attentive.
I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.
There are rooms on the lower floor.
Dogs are welcome.
Every saturday there is entertainment during our stay was were entertained by Nick Darcy who was absolutely excellent.
The rooms do require an upgrade, other than that there is nothing i do not like about this hotel.

The rooms were a bit shabby - the TV only had one working channel - the furniture was stained and the curtain lining was hanging below the curtain. The carpet had come away from the wall. The staff were brilliant and the breakfast was great. The property just needs a bit of TLC

Lovely new carpet throughout our rooms.
Good value.
The plates, cups and cutlery in the suite were dirty and there was no washing up liquid for us to wash them.
The decor was dated and needs attention, for example the wallpaper was peeling off of the walls and ceiling in some places.

This was our 3rd time staying, love the hotel and the people. But the room this time wasn't the best.
The room was dated, the ceiling needed replastering in the corner, curtains too short and curtain rail too short needed a plinth as light came in all night from every angle so was unable to sleep. Cracked splash backs in the bathroom, the door didn't shut properly and was very badly marked and scuffed. Very small TV compared to last stay. Rickety old chair. The duvet was small and didn't cover two people. However the duvet cover was massive??.

Horribly uncomfortable mattress which actually caused me hip pain. Freezing cold room. Terrible night's sleep.

Good location for Theatr Clwyd with a large car park. We had a bar meal, which was fine. There is a varied menu, which reception staff helpfully printed off so we could decide what we wanted to do in the comfort of our room before we headed out. Our room was massive and recently decorated, with a huge bath with overhead shower. The bed was enormous and super comfy, and, as we were by a courtyard, it was very peaceful; we both had a great night's sleep.
Unfortunately, there was only one small wall heater in the room, which really wasn't up to the job of heating such a large space in February. We would have asked for a further heater, but we were only there for one night, so we couldn't be bothered. If we had been staying any longer, I think we would have done. The water pressure in the shower isn't the best, but it's not the worst I've ever had either. Although there was a coffee machine and a kettle in the room, the only coffee capsules available were flat white or cafe-au-lait, and the only tea was breakfast tea. As I am lactose intolerant, I wasn't able to enjoy the provided hot drinks. Again, had we been staying for longer, I might have gone and asked if other coffee/teas were available.

The bed was enormous and very comfortable, we had 3 very good nights sleep.
Hotel felt a little tired in places. We had booked an executive double which could have done with a bit of looking after to make it feel truly executive - there was a definite draught coming from the windows.
Despite signs asking us to put our towels on the floor if we wanted them changed, they were changed even though we kept them on the towel rail. One afternoon we came back to find only one set of towels for 2 people. Staff were prompt in bringing more once we asked.

The Hotel was clean and tidy throughout. Every member of staff that we met were lovely, very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was very tasty, lots of choice and regularly topped during the breakfast service. Comfortable bed and great shower in the room. Would definitely stay here again.
Room decor a bit dated, but had everything that we needed, other than that I can't fault this Hotel.
