Room was great (a few stairs to go up however). Comfortable bedBetter than expected. The pub however is amazing, so many reception rooms to choose from and wonderfully decorated. Staff were friendly and helpful, as were the locals, and we even had a local offer us a free bag of tomatoes from his allotment when we were walking down the street.
Arrived at 6pm and were told they had 'run out' of food so we had to order in. Breakfast was average and the coffee in the breakfast room was awful. One staff member was really banging about behind the bar at breakfast time - it was so loud... not to mention the entire family dining in their pyjamas...but this isn't the hotels's fault per se.
