The hotel was acceptable for a one night stay.
There are several very large pot holes at the entry to and in the car park. Upon our arrival these are not coned off pending a repair. Some of the car park lights also are not working which raises the possibility of not seeing them potentially causing damage to a vehicle.
Some of the EV chargers did not work and one had a broken charger cable support.
Upon checking in reception had one staff member who was on the phone so had to wait to be checked in when another staff member arrived.
Breakfast was good, but when we arrived for breakfast we waited in case we had to be seated but we're ignored until we asked if we just seat ourselves. We didn't get a 'good morning'.
Upon checking out the receptionist was pleasant.

Breakfast - excellent variety of fruits and pastries, cooked breakfast: impressed that the eggs cooked anyway you like, & I like omelettes and enjoyed a delicious cheese omelette, thanks to the obliging staff & chef. All staff very friendly and room and facilities warm and ultra clean. Excellent location- a short drive from Stanhope Arms Ilkeston offering great hospitality and excellent food.

Convenient to Nottingham.
Pleasant staff.
Very small bathroom but adequate.
Sofa in room needed a good hoovering.
Good location just off the M1. Room was clean and tidy (if not a bit small for a double) food was sufficient for price. Was able to take breakfast away with me. Helpful staff. Fast car charging facilities on site.
Only staircase to get to room. Looked run down outside could do with some renovation. Terrible huge potholes in driveway. Not a great choice in menu for evening meals.

Everywhere is very clean.
Some hot breakfast items (sausages and beans) are very cheap.
Having an adjoining room was not great - but that was put right for us.
We weren't keen on the multiple face piercings on one of the reception staff.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast in restaurant both were excellent. Sat outside with a drink on Saturday to enjoy the weather.
Only 2 of us in a family room but the bathroom was very small and only 1 person at a time could be in there. Not much walkway between the two beds so access was a bit cramped. Room was clean but looking a little tired. The entrance to the hotel site had the dreaded potholes which we did complain about as it went right across the one half of the road. Had stayed at this hotel before and was sad to see the difference in the room quality.

On first sight I was apprehensive as the outside is very dated. Inside the hotel, however, it is very bright, modern and clean. The room was very clean and quite comfortable. The bar was great and the breakfast was pretty good too. Every member of staff we met were fabulous - very friendly and helpful. I hadn’t expected it to be so good and I will definitely stay again when visiting local family.

The room would have been a good size but had a big sofa bed in it as well as the bed. Everything was modern, comfortable and clean. Good breakfast with choice of continental or full breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was good for us as we were going to a wedding in the area. There is a good bus service into Nottingham and Derby with a stop just a short distance from the hotel,
The bathroom was very small.

Bar/restaurant area was really nice and open until 1am over the festival weekend
Room was a good size and if you needed anything extra reception were happy to help/provide
You can order Starbucks coffee at the bar which was great for the early morning starts
Breakfast wasn’t great- we ordered it to our room and it was wrong each time. Might have been better if we went to the restaurant but we stayed at this hotel last year and done the same thing and we had no issues back then. So maybe it’s just hit or miss.

We were at a family wedding in Nottingham and this was a convenient stay over. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast and the carvery made it good value for money .
Initially our room key didn’t work and the bedding for the sofa bed was not in the room. The staff were very quick to sort both issues.

Location was good - close to M1 and A52. Breakfast was okay, good choice and helpful staff, but rather over-priced. Air conditioning worked well and was useful for the hot nights during our stay.
Room was quite a long walk from reception, decor was a bit tired and jaded and the room was on the very small side (only about 450mm each side of the double bed).

Extremely convenient location , clean and comfortable, had EV charging
Breakfast was understaffed - not all food options were available up at a busy time eg bacon and egg’s presumably because enough staff weren’t free to keep them topped up. The onsite EV chargers are new and plentiful but unintuitive - we and fellow EV chargers had to call up the provider for support.
