Perfectly and easily located in the city centre with a fantastic and easy to use car park.
Small issue with our room key that was smoothly rectified.
Very reasonable rate including our breakfast which was a good choice.
Small, but adequate room with opening window and everything we needed including a kettle and hairdryer!
Very pleased and we will use again.
Nothing to complain about at all!

Nothing bar the location
The size of the bathroom, the shower didn't work properly, the windows were left open by the cleaners, the pillows were stained, the heating didn't work as it should of, broken hangers, the list could go on but worst of all is the price.

Check in staff when I arrived at 7 pm were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom very clean. Bathroom would be quite small but was OK for me.
Although the reception informed me that there was a limited dinner menu, I didn't except it to be quite so limited as it was even more limited then shown on the attached photo. No chilli, no naan bread. Had to wait 45 mins for pizza.

The beds were comfortable except the hard lumpy pillows. Breakfast was great.
Uncomfortable pillows, ridiculously small bathroom. Only some rooms YouTube works and some don't unfortunately ours wasn't working.
On the first night we wanted some dinner, was given a limited menu which was fine but there was no chef on and the young lady serving us seemed to have no idea what she was doing which I don't think was her fault I think she was just put in that situation which was unfair on her, it took almost an hour to get our food. Staff seemed quite inattentive.

Traditional basic Ibis holel - just like all the rest: good for a night or two. Same rooms/bathrooms, same everything else. No better, no worse.

We used this hotel to visit our daughter, who is studying at Portsmouth Uni. For the price, you cannot complain to be fair. The rooms are clean, but small, (Even Houdini would have his work cut out sitting on the toilet...) the lounge area is open and relaxing, good wifi and it even has a pool table... If you're fine with that, then you won't be diapointed. If you want bigger, then expect to pay more.
Bathroom size is very small indeed. I've stayed in hotels all around europe, and they are some of the smallest I've encountered. But as I mentioned above, the price I guess reflects this.
