We love the country feel of the pub with Christmas decorations and log fires. We asked for a room in the old part of the building which was gorgeous.
The downside of having a room in the old part of the building is it’s difficult to find a plug near a mirror to do your hair or makeup! Also having the ironing board and iron in full view spoilt the overall decor of the room.

Excellent spacious accessible room with full en-suite wet room. Clean. Loads of storage. Sofa and two arm chairs in the room tells you how big it was! Nespresso coffee machine was a nice touch and fresh milk to go with it. Chilled bottled water too. Accommodation is behind the pub, separate from it and in a more quiet location away from the road. Had a peaceful comfortable night in king size bed.
Great that electric car charging point was close by and adjacent to an accessible parking space.

Handy to be so close to Stockbridge main street and near to Mottisfont NT property. Stonehenge is only 30 minutes away.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also great. It’s also dog friendly.

Great location, perfect for a stroll around Stockbridge. We parked right outside the room, which is across a small car park from the pub and restaurant. The pub was very busy on a Friday evening but the rooms are far enough away that you are not troubled by any noise. Good breakfast and we keep returning each year as it is an ideal stopover when travelling to see family. We will be back again this year.
The only thing I can think of is that pub does get very busy (which might just be weekends and Christmas time) and therefore very noisy but there are plenty of other eating choices in Stockbridge if you were looking for something quiet.

The room (which was in the new part of the "annexe") was lovely, with great facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent - we had breakfast and dinner - we had booked dinner for 2, but when my daughter joined us at the last minute the staff were very accommodating and we had a great evening.
A very minor issue with lighting - a bedside light seemed to have a mind of its own! There was also a ceiling light out in the bathroom.

Good breakfast with lots of choice. Other food was really good. We had the sirloin beef Sunday dinner and pie on Saturday. Couldn't fault it. Clean rooms, great location. We had two dogs with us and were given food and water bowels as well as treats, tennis balls and dog wash to keep.

The room was comfortable and nicely furnished, there was a bath in our ensuite which was fantastic as we were staying here as the mid-point whilst walking the Clarendon Way between Winchester and Salisbury. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially around accommodating my friends nut allergy (and the insane amount of food we ordered having walked there from Winchester), breakfast was grand - I really liked the vegetarian sausage, which wasn't like anything i've had before. I'd really recommend it as a stopping point if you're doing the Clarendon Way as we were, you just pick up the Test way around King's Somborne for an hour and the path leads almost directly to the pub!

The town was surprisingly characterful and the pub is at one end of it. We were given a friendly welcome and had a quiet and warm room plus a comfortable bed. Sat by the fire in the evening and played games. Good breakfast. Can recommend.
