Bathroom space is very large and accommodating medical needs while recovering from surgery at uic
The valet service is excellent, helpful with all aspects of arrival and departure.
Some front desk staff were just great and made me feel calm and comfortable before my surgery at UIC.
Rooms are spot on and clean. Beds were comfortable and had plenty of pillows. Netflix was loaded and a easy to access. Fridge was perfect and freezer large enough to keep icepacks cool for swelling.
No resturant when listed on site, only a bar with limited hours. All restaurants a two block walk in little Italy district or down towards Rush and other medical facilities.
Microwave dity. No vending on floor near ice machine only at front desk. We noticed the hall garbage was always full mid day and not emptied til morning.
No benches near elevator for people with disabilities, only odd bulky sculpture tables.
Would like to see a recliner on side of queen bed, as it wasn't easy to watch movies in or sleep in when needing to be in sitting position after discharged from surgery, the chair had nothing to support the neck or head.
Although stylish and comfortable casual chair, it just wasn't fitting our needs for a hotel across from all the hospitals.
I Would've like to see more medical accommodations, as I saw different people with special needs when we stayed.

Fantastic location if you don't want to be in the middle of town, but still want to be close enough to get to town easily. No street noise whatsoever. Perfectly clean, fantastic housekeeping and extremely helpful and accommodating front desk staff. Great beds, linens, and pillows.
Nice size rooms with plenty of living space, and TONS of drawer + wardrobe space. Nice big TV (but it's insanely bright and can't be adjusted).
There is a Starbucks, a boutique food court, and a Panera within quick walking distance.
Quiet area, but hotel is not exactly soundproof -- easy to hear neighbors through the walls or connecting doors. Door closers should be adjusted so they don't slam by default. Housekeeping begins rounds WAY too early in the morning, causing noise.
Upstairs "lounge" (it's just a TV room with a microwave and some snacks) is now inexplicably for "status members only" *and* closed completely on the weekends. Neither of those was the case a year ago. Did you order some delivery food and want to have a real table to sit at while you eat? TOO BAD, YOU PATHETIC PLEB! Maybe if you studied harder in school, you could have access to our ultra-elite Concierge Lounge

everything. our first time visiting Chicago and the medical district Marriott was the perfect place for us to stay. shuttle service to anywhere within a mile of the hotel made my stay stress free as I didn’t have to worry about trying to drive around/find parking in the city!

Love the location as we attended a concert at the United Center. Shuttle from hotel to stadium was a plus!
Valet staff can be more professional and hotel also needs to put signs that says "ALL PARKING are VALET ONLY" -
Valet staff need training to greet guests, to explain parking situation, to not ask for tips and not to smoke cannabis on the job!
Toilet was not working properly. We had to remove the top to flush.

Very close to where I was working.
I booked a room with a king sized bed and had proof of this and I was given a room with two queen beds. I brought this to the attention of the staff and their response was “Sorry. We are booked.”
The workout room was missing equipment I was hoping it would have.
The Bistro closed early at 9:30 and 9:45pm when I tried to visit it despite the sign posted stating it was open until 10PM.
The guests in the room next to mine are consistently very loud, waking me every night of my stay between 1-2AM. I brought this to the attention of the staff after the second night and nothing changed. This was extremely frustrating as I worked early in the morning dueling my entire stay.
I had understood there to be a breakfast option but I was never told about this.

It was in close proximity to United Credit Union - the venue where we saw André Rieu. It was not ostentatious but clean and up to date. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The shuttle service was efficient and most convenient. The valet was EXCEPTIONAL - working constantly to make guests comfortable. I don’t know his name but he was there early in the morning through late at night. Outstanding service!!!

It was quiet and clean.
4 things: First, this hotel is almost fully wrapped in the hospital. Second, at check in they tell you breakfast is at x to x time, which it is, but that implied it was through the hotel. Instead we paid $70 for 2 greasy avocado toasts, 1 bagel with cream cheese, and 1 great breakfast burrito. That's almost $20 a person- which we paid in actual nice restaurants with much more quantity and quality food and environment. Third, the valet and the shuttle consistently have wait times much longer than they say. It is fine to wait, but in order to plan events, we need accurate estimations. Finally, I have paid the same amount of money for hotels with much, much better locations than this one.

My stay was amazing. The area was perfect. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. My room was so clean and comfortable. Also very quiet. All of the staff was kind and helpful. They all were so sweet to my 3 year old. One lady helped me with my bag of groceries that broke and a bistro worker offered to help me bring my luggage to my car. This will be the only hotel we stay at when we visit Chicago.
The only thing that I didn’t love was that you had to valet park your car and had to pay $40 a day for it. That was the only option. And I had to walk to my car every time because the valet attendant was busy so I paid for a service that I didn’t really use.
